Will I be able to benefit from the PSCA?
-
We didn't know about it at the time unfortunately, but I'm fine with waiting as long as its not 6 or 7 years long. And I was wondering if my case is eligible for child protection act?

hi
probably, because the petition lasts almost 2 years
Sorry, by probably do you mean I'll probably get into F2B? or F2A?
How is she getting her GC.

I'm an international student studying in Washington currently, my mom will be getting her green card and become a permanent resident on March next year - 2017, meanwhile I'll be turning 19 on this year's 25 of December; will I be able to stay in the F2A category to get my green card and adjustment of status before I turn 21? Or do I will be transfered to the F2B category and have to wait for a long time?

Thanks for clearing on that, she's already working on the papers as fast as she can so I guess it should be doable.

Age out? How long would it usually take for petitioning for F2A, more than 2 years? Is that why I would age out before I have my visa? Is there anyway to freeze my age or to prevent an age out?

I would need to prove I won't be staying in the US after I finish my education, is that correct?

To further add on to that, my mom was overstaying in the US when she first came, so I couldn't go back to my country to renew my visa back then for that reason; but now when she married a US citizen (they married last month), it cancels that problem, and so would I be able to go back to my country and renew my visa now?
PS: Sorry for double posting, I couldn't edit the first one.

Can I go back to my home country (Vietnam) to renew my expired f1 visa if I have a US citizen stepfather and a permanent resident mother in the US? My I-20 is still up to date (in fact I just updated it three days ago), and I'm still going to continue college after I come back from Vietnam.
Thank you in advance.

My mom just married a US citizen last month and has just got her marriage license last week, now she's filling her paper for her green card to become a permanent resident; so I'm wondering how long is the wait until I will get my green card, I'm 19 currently and unmarried. Would I be in the F2A category? And how is the wait time for said category to be able to fill a visa application?
Thank you in advance
PS: The title is misleading, I meant to say immigrant spouse's child.

So I believe I won't age out until I have my green card right? Since I will be petitioning next March, when I'm not even halfway 19 yet, I think I should still have some time before the 21 years old dead line
