Hi. I've also filed for my ROC this month. I read somewhere in this I751 forums that someone filed a big package. Mine was just the main form, two most recent lease contracts, child birth certificate, 2 joint tax returns, car loan and 15 pictures of us 3, life insurance benefit for my wife, medical insurance policies for us 3, flight tickets for us 3. I didn't even include the affidavits.
By the way, I am in TN so I filed to the Texas Service Center
Hope that works

Yes I hope this is just a homesick. I try to keep myself as positive as I possibly can.
I am trying to meet new people everyday. I came to some business networking events and some job fair events.
I will work on my feelings, I hope things will get better pretty soon.
Thanks for the response, its good knowing that this "homesick" feeling is common for new immigrants.
Yeah American dreams, I need to pursue that and start swallow that my life is where my family live which is here in America now. Kinda hard though to move on from the previous life that we had..
Hey!
Are you saying it's a "COMMON" feeling? Come on! We are human beings! Of course we are going to miss each and every thing we were back in our home countries!
My suggestion: if you are saying that your husband is doing his best at trying to make you feel better, Do not ruin it. He is probably an excellent guy. In my case, I miss my parents so much. But we accepted to marry and form a new team, so live this new adventure. Don't feel discouraged, if you don't find a way, you'll find an excuse!
Best of luck!

I have applied for Adjustment of Status, from California. Was wondering how long it takes to get the Biometrics Appointment notification.
Hey! How are you doing? I asked the same question a while ago so I guess how you are feeling.
I sent my AOS package from K1 on May 9th, 2016. The received it the next day. I had the e-notifications on Friday May 13th. The hard copies of notice I-797 arrived on Wednesday 17th. At that moment I was impressed at how fast things had worked.
Based on others timelines I was hoping to receive the notice before a month from May 10th. However, that was not the case. I placed an e-request due to a missing "notice" (USCIS online tools) on June 10th, a month after I had sent the package. It was funny because that day (june 10th), when I returned home, I found the notice (fingerprints) in the mailbox and I was scheduled for June 21st. On June 12nd (SUNDAY) I receive a second letter from USCIS, this time it was the local office, stating that my fingerprints appointment was already scheduled and they attached a copy of the notice. This last mail was a response to my e-request.
The initial notice was issued on June 4th.
I know it's easy to say this, but we must be patient.
Have a good one.

Hi fellow VJers.
Well, I thought today was the day that we would FINALLY get the green card approved. We had our interview in San Francisco, and I was super prepared. Turns out, we brought everything and the officer said he had no concerns about our marriage, but he had noticed that on my completed vaccination records (done by Knightsbridge in London, UK), the box that said that all the vaccinations were completed was not checked. Even though beside every vaccination it said that I had them, because the final box at the bottom confirming that wasn't checked, our green card will be delayed and we need to go see a civil surgeon to transcribe the vaccinations over and sign off on them. One box. ONE FREAKING BOX.
So because of that, we need to spend MORE money and waste MORE time doing this. So bummed.
To confirm, I emailed Knightsbridge back in October 2015 after I noticed the box wasn't checked, and they said that the embassy told them not to check it because it wasn't for an immigrant visa. So I'm not sure if the embassy or USCIS is supposed to make sure all the vaccinations are completed and then check the box or what....
Either way, I'm not sure why they waited until the interview to tell us, when they could've just sent us an RFE months ago.
Thought fellow UK K-1 visa holders would want to know.
Hi!
To my understanding, K1s do not receive vaccine shots at their home country as part of the K1 Visa procedure. We are asked about them during the appointment with the doctor and I guess the he makes it clear, while filling out form DS-3025, that we have received vaccines for MDR (example) as we showed a valid proof.
However, by reading instructions on this site, official USCIS info and other sources, we still need to see an authorized civil surgeon. We let them see we have received the vaccines, they will fill out form I963 and sign it.
I agree with you when you say the IO should have asked for evidence (RFE) so you wouldn't lose time by going to the interview.
Anyways, I suppose you already have an EAD and that's what really matters at first. You'll get your GC soon.
Good luck!

Mykonos, Thanks for your response.
Did you try calling USCIS Customer Service and ask to speak to a 2nd tier officer?
I still don't receive the fingerprints notice and on June 13th it will be 30 days since NOA1 date. I will call them next Monday and hopefully speak to a 2nd tier officer about this issue.
Good luck to you too!
Hi guys!
I received mail from USCIS regarding my appointment for fingerprints (biometrics) last Friday (May 10th). However, the letter's issue date is May 04th. That same Friday in the afternoon, as I was kind of worried and didn't spend the day at home, I filed an online service request (USCIS ONLINE TOOLS). I stated I had not received my letter yet and that I would like to have an update. They replied really fast, by mail also. I had a second letter on Sunday 12th. They attached a copy of the fingerprints notice.
They only thing that kind of worried me is that they say they are going to put my case on a processing hold until they obtain my fingerprints. I wonder if that processing hold is a common procedure or if it was caused by my online service request.
My appointment is scheduled for May 21st so I will just go and ask them about the processing hold.

I filed April 23, NOA date of April 29 and still have no biometrics letter. Filed a service request on May 27 and still waiting to hear back. Call on the 30th day to put in a service request..good luck to you

Dirty harry, thanks man. juand25, gracias parce. juand25, It took a month after your NOA1 Notice Date? I filed on May 9th. They received on May 10th. NOA1 date is May 13th. So should I get the letter in my mailbox before June 15th based on your experience?yeah it takes about a month to get Biometrics, just did mine a week ago, and 2 days later finally my case status showed online as i485 is ready to be schedule for interview. I know we get desperate but everything will come in time, just make sure you check status everyday
and best of luck.
Hahaha! I know. I am mostly desperated for the EAD. My money reserves are low by now!

Call USCIS customer service (800) 375-5283, make request regarding missing biometrics appointment, ask to speak with 2nd-tier officer, they should transfer you. Biometrics should be sent usually not later then 30 days after NOA.
Do not wait long as I did, hoping that they need time for processing and they know what to do. Because of late biometrics - 2 months after NOA and their error my EAD was overdue for 144 days.
Aly_1, thanks for your advice.I've called them twice in the last 15 days. Both times I've asked them about the issue with the website. They said that was quite normal. The second time I also asked them about biometrics and the person mentioned that I should wait up to 30 days after NOA1.
I will do as you say and on June 13th, if I still don't have the biometrics notice by mail, I will give them a call and ask them to talk to a 2nd tier officer. I am not sure if it's that easy to ask for that, but I have to try it.
Again, thanks for your comments. I really hope I get the biometrics notice until friday.

Hey guys!
It is the first time I post on this forum, however, I've used the guides provided on this site for my K1 Visa application and my AOS.
I filed form I-485 and form I-765 on May 9th. They received my package on May 10th. I received two e-mails on Friday 13th that contained the receipts numbers for the applications. I've got the same notices of action through regular mail on Tuesday 17th.
It's been almost a month now and I am kind of worried because I am not able to check my case status on USCIS website, neither I have received the "biometrics, fingerprints notice" on the mail. On the first issue, I understand that happens to a lot of us. There is some kind of problem with USCIS software. But regarding the biometrics notice, based on many of your timelines, I think I should have received the notice already. I sent my AOS and EAD applications to the Chicago Lockbox. I am in Miami, FL.
Any comments would be appreciated.

I filed my application 37 days ago, check was cashed same day I received an SMS notification (29 days ago).
I filed to TX Service Center but when I check my case status it says my case is being processed in the "Nebraska SC".
I have not received anything via mail (I-797 NOA). My green card expires on Jan 9 2019 and I am starting to worry because I want to provide this letter to my employer.
Are you guys experiencing a similar issue? I hope it's due to thanksgiving and I receive the letter soon
