We had our aos interview this morning! We were approved on the spot!!!!!!! Though it didn't make the interview any less intimidating lol.
We arrived about 15 mins before our 11am appt in Norfolk, VA. They called us back to a private room about 11:15. She had us raise our right hands and swear in. The first thing she asked is if we had any evidence to present to support our marriage. I brought joint phone bill, rental lease with both our names, joint car insurance, my life insurance with him listed as the beneficiary. She didn't even glance at them or blink an eye. She was just staring at us saying "uh huh... ok.. what else" (talk about intimidating) then she asked for pictures to add to our file and all i had was our wedding album and a screenshot of our photographers blog. So she seemed kind of annoyed and asked to look through our album. Then she started asking about the timeline of our entire relationship and the dates of life events like cancer and the death of his dad.. (?) She continued looking through our album and said she rarely sees actual weddings rather than a courthouse style wedding. She started to tear up and expressed how much love she sees between us and how blessed we are by God. She went from intimidatingly tough to soft and sweet and said she recommends us for approval and that she hopes to find a love like ours someday. We had the online status change by the time we walked out to the car!!! We were with her about 20 minutes!
I was concerned about the health packet because we never sent or filled out any health paperwork or vaccine papers with his AOS because they took it at his port of entry and we had no copies of anything! I figured we would get an RFE to have his health redone since it's been over a year since the one for k-1 but all she said was "his health packet was submitted for his k-1 correct?" And we said yes and she said great!
I think that's about all the details I can remember! Glad to be done for 2 years!
Oh And our "local" field office is 5 hours away....

Green card interview has been scheduled as of this morning!!
Scheduled for Oct 19th
Work permit was received last week
We filed May 2nd and had an RFE that we used 5 days to respond to
slightly concerned that the appointment letter will request a health packet which we don't have and never sent in, due to it being kept at POE. -

Well our SR for EAD got attention today! Response is that we are being reviewed for a decision shortly! Yay action! day 126!

I didn't get my 2nd SR answered either. Our PD is May 11, is that also yours?
Maybe I should chill with checking on the SR obsessively lol.. nah ours is the 2nd... we did have an rfe that held us back 5 days, so trying to remember that everyday we check the mailbox....
Congrats on getting yours finally!!!!

So frustrating....118 days and 2 SR..just called and was told to wait for another 9 days before calling back. Pd was May2nd. Anyone else have similar experience?
Same PD, still no word and still haven't had our 2nd SR assigned to even be reviewed 😦

I noticed while checking online today that at the bottom of our aos case (current status Ready To Be Scheduled For Interview) where it says "next steps" ours says "we will issue our decision and mail it to you" does anyone else's say that? I wonder if that's how you can tell if your interview is waived? You'd think it would say "We will issue your interview date and mail it to you " or something like that...

So, we just got the strangest update. Our case status changed on July 21st to "ready to be scheduled for an interview. " then just now it changed to "on August 18th your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" ...ummm?
-
Ours says the exact same thing as of yesterday with the inquiry being assigned and a response will be received soon. The email response was basically that it's still within regular processing time, and the response given to our congressman was exactly the same....
It will be awesome when it shows up!!! And congrats on yours showing up unexpectedly!

My inquiry says the same thing, about it not being assigned for processing, and our date is may 2nd, far past 90 days...

Our case changed to 'ready to be scheduled for interview' as of today. So, must be that they're getting around to that much earlier than EADs. Interview date is in the mail and in its way to us!
So glad to know the cases are moving along. Was starting to lose hope and wonder if they were far enough behind to delay the process by a few more months.
did they notify you that they have scheduled the interview and have sent out mail? We have been waiting on the physical "ready to be scheduled for an interview" letter, and we are moving saturday, so I keep stalling changing the address until we have that in our hands. But i'm not sure if they send a physical notification of that or not....

At this point, though, where would our cases be? I've been checking the California Service Center, but perhaps I was told incorrectly. My nearest field office is Chicago...is that the processing time I should be checkin for i-765 stuff?
you should be checking the field office that corresponds to the first 3 letters in your receipt number. We live in Virginia and our's are MSC which is the missouri service center and thats where it has remained. You are notified if you are transfered to a different service center.

Just moments ago we were updated to "Ready to Be Scheduled for an Interview"!!!
We had our congressman inquire about the work permit, but got updates on the green card... I dunno why that is, but either way, We're excited!!!!! I was very concerned we would receive a second RFE for his heath records since we didn't send in that form or vaccinations at ALL (they kept all his documents at POE and we have NONE). I suppose they can still ask for these then, but at least we aren't stuck any longer! -

Did anyone notice that the processing time on the USCIS site for EAD (c9) has fallen back a month? They were processing applications as of April 15 last week and now it says March 3. What gives?!
Idk But we just went the congressman route for our work permit...

And I am about to move to another apartment within our current residence
Got to go thru all change of adress process with uscis, dmv, utilities and so more😅
We are right there with ya. Same timeline... and we are moving end of month too! Sooo nervous about it. Thinking of changing the address before we move and stopping by the new place the next two weeks since its empty anyways lol
-
We have just about that same timeline with our case received May 5th and we did biometrics by appointment May 30th. But by end of June we got an rfe that we sent back within 4 days and now back to waiting. I think its probably a good thing if you haven't heard anything yet. Our case was not expedited or anything either. But it WAS hard seeing others who filed when we did getting interviews scheduled while we got an rfe... But we are all still in the normal timeframe, change can happen any day!
