Case Received Dec 7 2018
Biometrics Aug 8 2019
Nebraska service center....
Last update is: fingerprint review completed.
Extension May 2020.... I am concerned since we are traveling early May, return date falls before expiration date.
Calling USCIS, all information I get is that case is within timeframe.

Interviewing scheduling starts next week for most consulates.
Even though I've requested an expedite, I still have to wait for that appointment from the consulate.
-
Hello,
I submitted an expedite request to the NVC and was approved by the consulte in Juarez.
The expedite email says to call the consule about the interview date. I called and was told that I was in queue for an interview date.
Today I created the profile on the CSRA https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ for my wife. I noticed my status was "Schedule Interview".
I checked the calendar and there were no openings. Checked this evening and there was a slot for November 1 so I went ahead and selected that along with the ASC location and date. I received the email with instructions.
Since I haven't received the package from the consulate, will my interview date be rejected? If the system allowed me to select the date I don't see an issue, am i right?
Should I call and let them know I have an interview date?

Congratulations! I hope you have it soon and you can take care of your wife. ??
Thanks for your kind wishes

Congrats on the expedited approval.
All contacts will be with the CDJ embassy going forward not NVC.
You would have to reach out to the embassy for any inquire with your case.
Basically once an an expedite is approved NVC is finish with your case.
So, does that mean CDJ will have the interview date and not the NVC?
My case was completed on Sept 26 and just requested an expedite interview.
Thanks
-Jose

My expedite request has been approved by the consulate, case being forwarded to CDJ. Hoping to hear something from the nvc regarding my int date.
-
I'm sorry to read your wife is sick I hope get better soon and you can join her as soon as possible. Blessings
Thanks Karla!
My request has been received and under review.
I'd called earlier and they are not sure if they're still scheduling for CDJ at this time.

Anyone familiar with expedite request for interviews?
I've sent an expedite request due to sudden medical concerns with my wife. It seems like my interview might be on December just by looking at the spreadsheet, was/still hoping for mid November.
Anyways, at this point, will they consider the request?

Hi! This is my first time asking a question on here. We had our CC on September 9, 2016. We have been waiting for an interview date in Ciudad Juarez. Today I checked our status on ceac websight not really expecting to see anything diffrent it just makes me feel better to check. It always says at NVC but today it changed to ready. Never an in transit. I was under the impression that it would not change to ready until we had received an interview date. Does anyone know what this means? Have we been assigned an interview date just have not received the email yet? Or is it common to have it change to read before interview date has been assigned? Thanks in advance for any insight!!!
Have you tried calling the NVC?

Finally got interview date November 10 at Ciudad Juarez ???
Was your CC on August?
I am hoping to get my interview for November.
-
So according to the NVC rep, they are now scheduling interviews for November at Ciudad Juarez. Rep was not able to tell me if I was going to get an interview for November though. Is there a time frame that gets an interview for the next month?
-
Confirmed case complete as of yesterday 9-26. My consulate is Cuidad Juarez, so I should receive my interview date within a week and interview date might be in November?
-
Woot, I got 3rd N/A. Just checked this morning and nothing, checked again two laters and saw the 3rd NA.
Will call to confirm.
2nd scan date was August 15th, right at 6 weeks!
-
Hi, next Monday is gonna be my 6 week after my second scan date. Should I call to ask for a supervisor or should be wait? What do you recommend me?
My 6 weeks is up by next Monday.
Let's hope we hear something good next week
-
2nd Scan Date for a Checklist: August 15th. Hoping the review process is shorter this time.
-
How long does it take for the NVC to review a document requested by a Checklist?
NVC is saying 6 weeks, is this the case?

Received a checklist
______5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:____________________________________
Please send a copy of this applicant's original marriage certificate or a copy of the certified marriagedocument.Documents must be from the appropriate issuing government authority. Failure to provide the correctdocument will delay your case and may result in rescheduling of your interview, or refusal of a visa. For many countries, the U.S. Department of State has established country-specific criteria for ensuringthat applicants submit documents appropriate for visa processing. Please go to http://nvc.state.gov/ todetermine if the U.S. Department of State has issued any country-specific guidelines for the requesteddocument. All documents not in English, or the official language of the country where the visa application will beprocessed, must be accompanied by a certified translation. Your translation must include a statementsigned by the translator that states the following:Translation is accurateTranslator is competent to translateIf the certificate is a certified copy of the original it must come from the issuing government authorityand it must contain annotation by the issuing government authority indicating that it is an extract fromthe official records. If the applicant's marriage record is unobtainable because records have beendestroyed or the appropriate government authority will not issue one, please obtain a certified statementfrom the appropriate government authority stating the reason your record is not available.Called the NVC 3 times, one of them said the Marriage certificate did not look correct.
The second rep, did not tell me anything, so i asked to speak with a supervisor. She went on to explain me how the marriage from my country should look like and asked me to send another marriage certificate.
The third rep said my marriage certificate was missing and was actually very knowledgeable. She even suggested me to send my case to supervisor review.
Anyone ever had this problem?
I sent the original certificate's photocopy with a translation, perhaps they lost the photocopy and just looked a the translation?
Is there another person I should ask for? Supervisor review?

It is very frustrating to see others receiving their CC within 30 days of submitting documents.
Called the NVC again asking for an update, apparently they haven't reviewed the DS260 yet but the documents have been reviewed.
I ask them what it taking so long, their reply is that processing time was changed on May 25th, now it takes 6 weeks to review the case.
I told the rep that I am on my 7th week since I submitted the documents and close to 6 weeks since I filed the DS260. Then she said it should be reviewed by this Friday and I should call back on Monday to see if the case has been reviewed.
Then I asked her about the "missing marriage certificate", she responded saying it should take an additional 6 weeks to review just the marriage certificate. I told her that I've resent the marriage certificate and it should arrive by Friday (hopefully before they start reviewing the DS260).
At this point, I do not understand why it should take 6 weeks just to review the marriage certificate (which I sent in with the package but apparently is missing) AND I never received any checklist either through email or mail.
Should I request an expedite? Since they never sent any checklist, my documents were reviewed on June 21st. And some reps said the certificate was there, other said it was missing.
-
Called the NVC again, they apparently haven't begun reviewing my DS260.
Also they keep saying my marriage certificate is missing and recommended me to send it now before they start reviewing the DS260.
-
Scan Date June 21st, still no CC....
-
You always get the initial checklist with the welcome letter and you get the same one after ds 261, which is the same. but did you get a checklist after submitting everything, even after ds 260 and AOS and IV packages were submitted? If yes, then what did that checklist say?
If you haven't filed anything yet and have not filled out ds 260 or sent your packages then you have to follow what the welcome letter states.
No I haven't received any checklist after DS260 and AOS/IV package were submitted. I am looking at many CC in less than 30 days.. Hopefully I will hear something soon.
-
did you get a checklist?
I did get a check list for the DS261 after I filed it a week later.
I called and they asked me to ignore it.
-
I've called the NVC to request a status, some reps tell me the marriage certificate is missing, other say it is in file. It has been 40 days since my scan date and one month since i filled the ds260.
Should I resend the marriage certificate? Or is this something normal?

Finally got the “New Card is being Produced” status today for my wife.
Received Dec 7, 2018,
Fingerprints completed on Aug 6, 2019.
Case was processed in Lin Nebraska.
We were a bit nervous since I did the paperwork myself, we usually pay a preparer to do it... but that time we were really tight on money and couldn’t afford the $700 the prepared wanted to charge us. Another thing we were worried was the extension letter has expired and couldn’t get an appointment for passport stamping.
