    Oi!

I was pretty shocked too as we even have a baby, how could we be faking it?! 😂 But then I realized that my postpartum brain forgot to send some important documents lol. Because I i said we had a son on the form, they asked for his birth certificate which was so dumb of me not to have sent in the first place. I also sent our tax returns unsigned and forgot our W2s so They requested that as well. We recently bought a house so I sent our deed and some extra paperwork. In my defense my son was 2 months when I filled the application so I wasn’t thinking straight! Anyways, I see that you sent over a bunch of stuff so my guess is that you might have forgotten a signature. When I applied to the 2 years green card I forgot to sign one page of one form (ugh) and they sent me a RFE asking me to sign the form and resend the form!

Don’t stress too much, it will eventually work out. I just came back from the immigration office and they said is really delayed, but nothing to be worried. I have been in and out of the country several times since my GC expired. I mean, honestly it can’t take much longer than this lol. It’s obnoxious, but there’s not much we can do besides wait. It will come!

    Vai dar tudo certo

Ugh how come I am still in this limbo lol? I applied November 1st! 😂 Biometrics on 12/12 ... It's been almost 13 months! No updates since August! #Depressing.

Now, jokes aside, does anyone know how to prove residency without the extension letter? I have a passport stamp bc I never got the extension letter, I am buying a house and my lender needs to see proof of legal residency, I sent the expired green card and the stamp, but the stamp doesn't have my name in it (just the USCIS number) and they are pushing back. Is there any other place (maybe online) that residency can be verified? is e-verify.gov used by banks as well, or just for employment? I wish this card would get here tomorrow!

I never received mine. Requested many times and ended up getting am infopass and a passport stamp bc I had to leave the country several times for work and leisure. Didn't have any issue, but if you don't need the letter I would just wait for the GC at this point.

    Hey there,

Did anyone had luck going to a local office as a walk in to get an infopass? My GC expired on 1/10 and my letter never came. I have travel plans for 2/14 and I just can't schedule an infopass. Called many times and they suppose to call me back to schedule but they only time I was able to get a call back I was told I needed to wait for the notice on the mail which is insane. My local office is Newark NJ and I really don't want to miss my President's day vacation which is non-refundable.

Hi guys just an update: My EAD was delivered in the mail today!

My status online changed to "card being produced" on Tuesday (July 5th). Today when I checked online expecting it to have changed to "card mailed to you" I was surprised to see the "Card was delivered to me by the post office". I ran to my mailbox and there it was! I also received two NOAs one for I-765 approval notice and one for I-131 approval as well. Online my AP still as "case was received" since April 5! But my card came combo EAD+AP.
    Have a great weekend everyone!

Mine was approved yesterday! I checked my status online Monday and nothing had changed, they only updated yesterday to "card being produced". It says that it was July 2nd, but I checked July 4th and there wasn't any update and honesty I doubt they were working a holiday Saturday (July 2nd) to approve my case lol. I think they just said July 2nd just so it looked like my case was approved before 90 days ahaha.
In any event, my case was updated yesterday July 5th (Day 91), so there's hope for the rest of the week!
    Good Luck everyone!

I did my online on my day 80 and status changed to card being produced on day 88. Not sure if there's anything to do with my inquire request online, but worth to try.

FlaviaJ got a reaction from jmcg1975 in Chances of getting F1 visa renewed after graduation after OPT approved but not yet working?
Let me see if I understood. You finished school, got your OPT and want to leave the country on vacation before starting the new job? Why do you mean by renewing the F-1? Do you want to go back to school, or are you just wondering if you can leave the country and come back only by having your OPT?
Let me tell you my experience and see if helps.
I graduated May 2015, got my OPT approved and also started working right away (In fact I started working with my CPT while in school). Our visa is valid while your I-20 is valid, you I-20 will have your OPT information, and should be valid till the end of your OPT + the 60 days grace period. While on my OPT I left the country twice on vacation and came back without a problem. Last time I went to my home country on my OPT was this past february (less than 3 months before my OPT expired). So if you are only concern about leaving and coming back, don't worry.
Now, if you want to renew our F-1 because you want to stay longer and you don't believe your current employer will sponsor your H1-B visa, then you must go back to school. Apply to another program, be accept, get a new I-20 go back to you country to get new stamp visa on passport.
    Good luck
