I am happy hear your great news!
if you don’t mind me asking ,
what additional evidence did you send them!
Not at all. So at first I think I didn’t send enough, I was under the impression that we didn’t need to over file. Clearly wrong. After the RFE I sent over our house deed, mortgage closing papers, Copy of 2020 insurance cards, our son’s birth certificate which I didn’t sent at first, copies of life insurance that we recently got.
On my first package I only sent tax refunds, insurance cards, some travel tickets of previous vacations and our DLs.
🤷🏻♀️

They mailed my card! FINALLY!
EAC case. I filed in November 6th 2018, got an RFE asking for more evidences that my marriage was in good faith in November 2019. Mailed everything. Got the updates status (not sure when, I just checked online) and card was mailed yesterday. There’s light in the end of tunnel lol.

Oi Flavia,
Would you mind sharing what they requested on the RFE that you received? I just saw on my Case Status that they sent me a RFE today... When we filed, we sent a lot of solid evidence. We are shocked...
Muito obrigada,
Oi!
I was pretty shocked too as we even have a baby, how could we be faking it?! 😂 But then I realized that my postpartum brain forgot to send some important documents lol. Because I i said we had a son on the form, they asked for his birth certificate which was so dumb of me not to have sent in the first place. I also sent our tax returns unsigned and forgot our W2s so They requested that as well. We recently bought a house so I sent our deed and some extra paperwork. In my defense my son was 2 months when I filled the application so I wasn’t thinking straight! Anyways, I see that you sent over a bunch of stuff so my guess is that you might have forgotten a signature. When I applied to the 2 years green card I forgot to sign one page of one form (ugh) and they sent me a RFE asking me to sign the form and resend the form!
Don’t stress too much, it will eventually work out. I just came back from the immigration office and they said is really delayed, but nothing to be worried. I have been in and out of the country several times since my GC expired. I mean, honestly it can’t take much longer than this lol. It’s obnoxious, but there’s not much we can do besides wait. It will come!
Vai dar tudo certo

Still waiting over here. EAC number with RFE. Sent everything requested, my status still that they received it and are working on my case... going for a second infopass next Thursday to get an extension of my passport stamp (never received the NOA receipt) so I can keep traveling. This is dragging for so long is insane!

I got an RFE 2 months ago...
i sent out my package last month... What were the initial documents? And what did they ask for now?
Honestly it has been so long that I don't remember, but I think I sent all our insurances (health, life, car), tax refund and some vacation records. I am pretty sure I also sent our child's birth certificate, if I didn't I am a moron. Curious to see what they want. Will update here once I get the receipt in hands.

Exactly 1 year and 1 month since I sent my package and just got an update for an RFE. What could they potentially need now????
I filed Nov 1st., Biometrics in December, got my fingerprint review done in August and today just got the RFE status change. I can't imagine what this could be just know that my wait will be even longer. ugh

I would believe that driver license and couple bank statements will be proof of residency
I meant proof of permanent residency, proof that I am legal/ green card holder. My DL still states that I have a temporary immigration status as NJ has a very strict DMV.

Ugh how come I am still in this limbo lol? I applied November 1st! 😂 Biometrics on 12/12 ... It's been almost 13 months! No updates since August! #Depressing.
Now, jokes aside, does anyone know how to prove residency without the extension letter? I have a passport stamp bc I never got the extension letter, I am buying a house and my lender needs to see proof of legal residency, I sent the expired green card and the stamp, but the stamp doesn't have my name in it (just the USCIS number) and they are pushing back. Is there any other place (maybe online) that residency can be verified? is e-verify.gov used by banks as well, or just for employment? I wish this card would get here tomorrow!

FYI Vermont fillers, my friend just got her card in hands yesterday and she filled in NY (Vermont Center) in October, so the end might be close... 😉

Hey guys, quick question, does anyone have any experience changing jobs while I-751 is pending? I am pretty sure this should be a nonbrainner and no issues but wondering if anyone has an experience to share.
For the records I never got an extension letter but have a passport stamp and have been out of the country for work several times while my the approval is pending. I am just considering a job change and wondering if there's any implication on not having the approval yet. Any experience is appreciated.
Thanks!

Is it normal that I never received the extension letter as a November '18 filer? April '19 was the first time I received anything from USCIS after I filed, which was a notice letter informing me that they're going to reuse the biometrics, and then the second time was August '19 when I received the infamous letter: "nevermind, we actually do need your biometrics". I don't really need the extension letter. I understand that the primary use of it would be when traveling, but I don't intend to travel before I receive my 10-year green card. I was wondering if I should call USCIS and inquire about the extension letter, hoping it will make the application move a little faster. Does that help in your experience? Also did anybody not receive their extension letter either? Thanks!
I never received mine. Requested many times and ended up getting am infopass and a passport stamp bc I had to leave the country several times for work and leisure. Didn't have any issue, but if you don't need the letter I would just wait for the GC at this point.

Oooh! Nice! Are you a Vermont filer too (EAC)?
Yep, Vermont Center!

I had my fingerprint done in NJ back in December last year and my status just changed to “fingerprint review was completed” today. Continues to say that they will let me know if they need anything else from me or if my case is ready to get approved. At least something is moving! There’s hope lol

Go to USCIS https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do
click did not receive notice by mail. Fill up the application and submit. Trust me it works.
I was waiting for six months then I did that. Finally, I got my extension letter.
Aw I did it twice, they in theory “re submitted” but still I never got. I finally made an infopass and got a stamp on my passport back in February. I have been out of the country twice with that stamp and no issues at all. Is just annoying that absolutely nothing happened after my biometrics back in December. It’s a waiting game at this point.

I got my biometrics done in December and still nothing after that! Never even got my extension letter lol. I did my biometrics about 1 month after my case was received.

hi
do they stamp extension letter too? I called for infopass but they said just having expired green card coupled with extension letter is enough to travel overseas.
The extension letter + CG is enough for travel. The only reason why I needed the infopass was because I never received an extension letter and I had travel plans already so they had to stamp my passport instead. If you have a letter you are good to go.

Just wanted to add my situation. I never received the NOA, called multiple times and they said they sent me twice, but I never got it. I received the biometrics letter and got my fingerprint done the first week of December in NJ. Super quick, in and out in less than 15 minutes. I had to travel internationally so called for an infopass and was able to schedule one for the next morning, again, in and out in under half hour. I traveled to Spain mid-February, came back with the passport stamp and had no issues whatsoever either in Spain nor in NY.
Currently my case online just say that my fee was received even tho I already did my biometrics a few months ago. I guess we are back to the waiting game at this point.

Hey there,
Did anyone had luck going to a local office as a walk in to get an infopass? My GC expired on 1/10 and my letter never came. I have travel plans for 2/14 and I just can't schedule an infopass. Called many times and they suppose to call me back to schedule but they only time I was able to get a call back I was told I needed to wait for the notice on the mail which is insane. My local office is Newark NJ and I really don't want to miss my President's day vacation which is non-refundable.

Anyone in New Jersey area already have their interview scheduled? My status haven't changed since application on April 5th!
So frustrating, is there anything we could do to try to expedite? Is an enquiry worthy? -
Hello,
I am changing jobs, my current company has been my employer for two years, originally using my EAD - OPT card. I am now going into another company and I need to fill out an i-9 form to prove employment eligibility. I current have AOS pending (applied on April 4th) and an EAD card based on AOS.
My question is what to fill on i-9 (since I never had to fill it before), lawful permanent resident or alien authorized to work?
Thanks
