Hi. Did you receive your visa yet? My husband had his interview and was asked to submit a name change document. He submitted the document and his passport on September 10. We have heard nothing. Website still says AP.

Does anyone have experience with administrative processing in Jerusalem? My husband had his interview and was asked submit his name change certificate. He submitted the document with his passport and we have inquired. They say when the consular officer reviews they will contact us. We are still waiting.

My husband’s application is stuck in administrative processing. We have given all the information required but we do not have any idea of how long it will take for a response. Has anyone asked their elected officials to inquire with the embassy? Has it helped?

Thanks. I hope everything works out for you and wish you the best.

May I ask what were the circumstances that got you expedited?

Still waiting....NOA 1 date August 2nd at Texas Service Center.....
I called yesterday and they told me they were working on petitions dated July 7th
-
Me too! When is your NOA1 date. Mine is August 2nd and still waiting to hear something. No RFE. No nothing 😢😢
-
Congratulations. You are lucky and I hope the rest of the process goes well. I am 10 months still waiting for NOA 2
-
Has anyone in this thread received an NOA 2?
-
So sad. The processing time has almost. doubled
-
That sounds normal. I expected to hear something around January but have heard nothing. Also, when I applied in August the wait time was 6-8 months now it is 8-10, so I am not sure which is correct.

yes. i don't understand why the VJ timeline says TSC is working on petitions with NOA 1 date of August 23rd. My NOA1 date is August 2, 2018. I filed I-130 for my spouse. have heard nothing. The USCIS website says they are working on petitions with a date of June 18.

I am at Texas Service Center....
still waiting but thought we would hear something by now...

Hi. Are you and August 2018 filer? Have you received your NOA 2 yet?

Does anyone know whether the Jerusalem Consulate requires an IRS tax transcript or if you can use the last 3 years tax returns. The affidavit of support says you can provide either 3 last tax returns or IRS tax transcript. 3 years of tax returns is easier but i wonder if they will ask for the tax transcript anyway. Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes. He has been divorced and I know in Canada you need to do an extra step. I am most concerned about how long it takes to register the marriage. So the post telling me that Canada is slow to register is very helpful. Thank you. We are looking at Cyprus. The rabbanute in Israel is too difficult.

Hi. I am from the US and my fiancé is from Israel. We are trying to decide whether to get married in Cyprus or Canada. He does not have a visitors visa to the US. Does anyone have any experience? My concern is to marry in the place that will register the marriage quickest so that we can file our petition as soon possible after the marriage. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. thanks.

Hi. The same thing happened to my fiance and we are still waiting. This is at the Jerusalem Consulate. After he gave them everything on November 15th they called him and told him he would have the visa in 2-3 days. we are still waiting. The CEAC status changed from Ready to Admin Processing back to Ready and now Issued. But still no visa. I am going to email them today. But this is so frustrating and putting such a strain on the relationship.
-
If they told you it was going to admin processing that's good. I would email them to find out what's going on. You are waiting a long time. Good luck.
-
I am sorry to hear that and I understand your frustration. Did they tell you that you were approved and that they were doing final processing? We were told that the the visa was approved but then on the CEAC website the case went from administrative processing to ready which is backwards so we emailed them. They replied that everything is ok and that it takes time. I would email the embassy to find ourt what is going on.
-
My fiance had his interview and submitted his passport on November 15 at the Jerusalem consulate. The status on the CEAC was updated from Ready to Administrative Processing. Then a few days ago it was changed back to Ready so we emailed them to ask what is going on. They said that they are in final processing of the case. And then said it can be 2 weeks or longer. From what I have read on this website, most people seems to get their visas within a week to 10 days from when the embassy has all the information. Can anyone give any insight? This process is so frustrating and difficult. We are a very straightforward case. I would think all of the issues are addressed prior to the interview and that the interview is the last step.

We are after the interview and my fiancé received a call from the consulate advising that the file was complete and they are processing the visa. On the CEAC website the visa status has changed from "Administrative Processing" to "Ready". For delivery method, we have chosen to have the envelope couriered to a post office where my fiance will pick up the passport. My question is - How will we know when the envelope is at the post office and ready to be picked up?

Hi. We just received the green card last week. My husband entered the country at JFK on November 30. I called the USCIS 2weeks ago to ask what was happening and then a week later we got the card.
