For the social security number it can happen a few days after POE some states work faster than others- the I-94 electronically helps- we do not the social security number for the marriage license.

As per the work permit - it is suggested to apply at the same time you request the AOS- the work permit will arrive before the AOS.

Hi! The AOS process can take several months anywhere from 2 months onward - after the permanent residence is granted the individual cannot be away for a year. The for I-131 can be filed along with the I-485 and the work authorization. Best of luck !

We recently got out approval - I front loaded a hefty I-129f package to the point that for the interview he went with another block of evidence and the CO laughed and told him not to worry that she had enough. It is a tough process - you lose patience, at times anxiety gets the worse out of you - God knows I was a nervous wreck. We met December 2015 I visited Casa in April and a week after I submitted the papers. I spent there 10 days. I would have visited again if it wasn't because I have lots of responsibilities at work and a daughter to care for.

It is difficult but not impossible. You have mentioned several times you are young - think where your futures collide - and realize that a battle that is. It fought cannot be won. I know that I would jump at the opportunity of getting on a plane and visiting Morocco again-

Your fiancée has 6 months to enter the US after K1 approval and when she enters the 90 days to get married start counting when she enter the US. She will need Advance Parole to be able to visit her country. Once you get married you have to request the adjustment of status - and while that process goes on she cannot leave the US. However, Advance parole can be petitioned of course for a fee and if granted she will be able to leave the US and visit her country for a specif period - parent being sick I think is one of the reasons. My fiance has her interview on 9/22 and I need some advice or where I can find more information to answer my question. Once she gets the visa, she wants to give her job 30 days notice and stay with her mom for 4 weeks. Does the 90 days start for us to get married start the day she receives the visa or when she enters the United States. If she does what she plans, is there a limit as to how long she can stay in her country before she needs to fly to the US. Her mom is sick and wants to spend some time with her before she goes back to the US. Just need help figuring out the time line we have to work with. Since her mom is sick, is she limited once she comes to America and gets married to when she can go back to her country to visit or stay for a few months?

Hello, We had the black CO and she was friendly but straight to the point. She asked my fiancé about my previous marriages, names and dates and about my daughter and what she likes to do. We gathered a lot of extra evidence for the interview, wedding plans (venues contracts, vendors, etc) She told him with a smile not to give anything else that she had enough- and only took a picture of me with his family. I sent a huge file with the petition ( chat history, photos, etc. )

We had the interview on September 2 and w were told 10 days to get passport, visa, and envelope for POE. The 10 days are business, so with the holidays we are on day 4.

The one downside with Morocco is the lack of information available- even how they update the site,and you check for status.

We emailed every other day- and we got the interview email only with 9 days before the interview notice

You have to keep emailing them they won't get back to you you have to keep following up I did this every 2 weeks and finally got a email about interview . Also for birth certificate when we went to get new ones we were there when the man was writing it out so made sure every word you could see but there are some on mine you can't see either I think most important is the mother and father names and birthday and city

Following out journeys Its amazing how each country differs in processes. Most of The time for is and Morocco We dont know what to expect. Visa approved on September 2 and waiting for the status change in CEAC for ready for pickup or at least issued.

Check the information in the Dominican Republic embassy page they usually provide more accurate info on K1

Hello everyone, i got my case number from NVC but at this point is so lost.... The agent gave me the number but she didn't give me an iin number or anything else... Asked her about package 3-4 and she said that they no longer send thise that it was the old way... I tried to check my status in nvc page but my case number comes back invalid... I wanna know whats next... How do i schedule my interview and medical ugh im from dominican republic

Is your case in Casablanca? If so, it does not follow the same process as UK, Manila, or others. The instructions we got is that we pay in the Embassy at Casablanca. THe files gets forwarded upon receipt of NVC number to the Casablanca Embassy, they will send the fiance the corresponding package and they will set the appointment date. The fiance will have to gather documents, and bring the copy of the DS-160 barcode sheet and the copy of the NVC case number, NOA 2 etc.

After over 4 weeks since my NOA2, I finally received my case Number and Invoice on Monday. Strangely though, they said the file was already sent to Casablanca - without us submitting anything (paperwork, fees, or DS-160) to the NVC. I'm thoroughly confused as to what to do next. We filled out the DS-160 today but when you check it, it says simply "No Status". I tried to pay fees online and it tells me that the NVC already forwarded my case to the Embassy/Consulate, and any fees will be paid directly there.

I'd previously requested an expedite at USCIS and was denied. I requested one at the NVC stage before my case number was assigned, but received an e-mail stating they had no record of my case. I'm wondering if they went ahead and processed the expedite request but the rep didn't mention it to me at all. And I was in shock to hear the case was already shipped out, so I didn't think to ask for more details.

I'm thankful, just thoroughly confused at this point! And I can't express how happy I am to see all of you setting appointments for medicals and interviews... and seeing wedding dates! We're almost there!

made a call early today around 1pm pst. NVC received my case, but no case number yet. I will call one more time this evening.

Call!!!!! They got my case today and called like 15 minutes ago and I got the number !!!

Happy! ?? Our case was received today 7/27/16 at the NVC when I called early afternoon - Decided to call again tonight around 8:30 Pacific and We got our number - stress, happiness anxiety - We will be together soon!!! Those waiting the wait kills but it will happen - keep on calling !
