samack got a reaction from Chardon Ne' in AOS November 2016 Filers
Update: we have a joint sponsor and I was so relieved that I immediately started crying. That might also have something to do with the fact that I barely slept last night, but still.

My husband was very resolute about having enough evidence to send, but the more I read the more it seemed like they only really look at the amount on line 22. I felt pretty bad because I started crying right before he had to go to work. I mentioned how much simpler it would be if we had a joint sponsor, even though I figured that was totally off the table because a) I couldn't think of anyone who'd be willing or able to, and b) my husband is very independent and prefers to make his own way, especially in this situation where, in his words, "they're making it sound like I'm poor and I'm definitely not!" He just told me that my brother in law agreed to do it and that he would have asked one of his close friends to help if that had fallen through. I still feel really bad that it's such an issue and I keep telling him it would have been so much easier for him to marry an American, haha.

I'm sure it'll take a few days to get all of the paperwork together, but the stress-ringing in my ears has stopped! Question, though: when we submit the stuff for the joint sponsor, do we have to resubmit my husband's I-864 too? And should we send some of the extra evidence we were going to send when we were going to try to prove he makes enough?

Mine too. We're not struggling or anything, but I've been in a constant state of worrying about money and not being able to work since I moved here. I mean, I've been worried about money for most of the past decade, if we're being specific, but it's particularly bad right now, haha.

To anyone who might search for this in the future:
I just got off the phone with USCIS. The woman I spoke to said that this happens sometimes and wasn't at all as fazed by it as I was. She said to make a photocopy of the documents in the packet just in case, but to just include it all with the AOS documents when I mail them and to write a short letter explaining what happened. That's what I was hoping the solution would be but I was definitely expecting it to be a much bigger issue than it apparently is. I'm going to make an extra copy of my medical stuff to include with the actual AOS application, but it seems like this isn't a huge issue.

Starting a new topic so that it doesn't get buried in the other thread.
My visa status was changed to issued this morning and I've since gotten an email from the consulate saying it would be shipped via Canada Post, plus a tracking number, and two emailed shipment notices from CP. The tracker has already been updated to show that its been picked up and is being sent Xpresspost to the address I supplied when I was arranging my interview. I'm glad that things seem to be back to normal because I was just about to look into renting a car for next week, but I also feel even worse for everyone who has already had to go out of their way because of the interruption.
I'll keep this updated as things progress just in case things change at the last minute.
