Thanks for the updates.. Although Uling seems to be out of the office right now.. he said he was just going to lunch.. geez what a slacker.. doesn't he know he has a job to do here at VJ.

Our letter was exactly like yours, we just added this paragraph:

"I found a copy of the RFE on the internet and I am attaching it in case this can speed up the process. Again, if I need to wait for my actual RFE to arrive please see if you can help to have my RFE sent to me."

One of my many blessings in life is that I love to work with charts and figures. I am a very analytical person. I need to see the forest from the trees and not the ground floor.

I do what I do because my heart feels the extreme pain that mingles with my own pain of all the March members. (Especially those in the "C" list. I have always been a fighter. I have always cheered for the underdog. If I do something that helps another and if spending a couple of hours a day sitting in front of a boring computer screen makes someone's day.......then it's all worth it. I know you know what I mean by this.

I also believe in the saying, "what goes around comes around". One day, I'm gonna need some help and I hope that someone else believes the way I do to be there for me.

I call it karma, and who knows, I may be running a serious deficit, but I'm certainly aware of the fact that I am not perfect, that I am but human. I can only hope that I will be forgiven for whatever past transgressions I have committed, and rewarded by the simple blessing of love, that greatest of all gifts. I thank you for your inspiration and leadership in this crisis of the heart. I am a very capable person, and have been able to meet many professional and personal challenges in the past, but this thing has forced me to my knees once again, as I realize i do not have the power to change what needs to be changed. Not only Sleepless in Oregon tonight, also Lonely in Oregon. How much more of this can we take?

We take the abuse because of him who awaits you in France and for her that waits for me in Russia. How much more can we take?.........because of them......ALOT more!!!!!! Like the old song from the seventies goes......"Love hurts".......How much more pain can I personally take? For her love and kisses......I'll go to the ends of the earth for her.........

To be blessed like we have been blessed...........can we be forgiven for our past transgressions............of course we can. When he stretched out his arms and died for us.....this was the truest example of love and sacrifice that a human being can ever offer to another......it is now up to us to sacrifice ourselves for those whom we pledge never ending love forever and ever amen!!!!

Please. I know there are a few of us out there. I called the USCIS and spoke to someone requesting a new IMBRA RFE be mailed but the person told me that none has been sent. What I'm confused about is that there have been people who have NOA1's around the same time as mine (June 14th) who received their RFE's back in June and already turned them in, yet my case hasn't even been touched. Not sure when to contact my Senator on this, so I'd like to know how many others have yet to receive their IMBRA RFE.

Still no RFE for us, starting to get a little worried seeing everyone in my time frame has theirs.

After reading your post I asked my fiance to do the same thing, and he mailed the letter yesterday. We received confirmation that they received it today so..... we are just waiting for our "touches" too thanks to you!

There's just one thing we did different from you: we included a signed and dated copy of the scanned RFE with our letter, hoping they would take it and finally get things moving. Hey, it was worth the risk

E & K.........you may not realize it. but what you did was absolutely tremendous!!!!!!!!!!! Now, all the March members still in the "C" list will see which method, mine with just a "polite" letter and yours with a letter and a scanned RFE.....will be more effective.............this is a marvelous test of proactive will power.

O.K...........for all those who are wondering if my letter to the CSC director did any good...........this is the sequence of events thus far..........

July 31st - sent certified letter to Director.........

August 1st - Postal service indicates that my letter is accepted at CSC

August 2nd - I get touched for the first time ever...........

August 3rd - I get touched again for the second time ever.............

I do not know that this means.........but to me this is minor progress...........

it is alot better that NOTHING.....................

Get those letters in the mail March people..........you have got nothing to lose..............

I will keep every one up to date of my progress.............

Sent the old application on June 1st

Reached Nebraska on June 5th

Transfered to California somewhere between June 5th and June 17th (last touched), who knows

Received NOA1 on June 20th

Nothing since but it could be worse I guess. I have been in the immigration system for the last 14 years so I know how things work over there. Patience is the key. I did a timeline search for applications mailed in June for both Nebraska and California and it looks like no K1 applications sent in June have received their RFE's so there's some hope there I guess.

You stated that you have worked in the immigration system for 14 years...............what do you make of all this confusion.......we all knew that patience was the key prior to the IMBRA.......why do you think that 26 people from March still have not received an RFE yet......thanks..

I Guess now when you call them, they update case status.

Icey.........I don't know what to say. But If I can sum it up this way.......I felt like a "virgin petitioner" at the CSC until I got (using Ulings favorite term - fondled!!!).......all I know is that last night after I received the email that I was touched..........I almost needed a cigarette!!!!!!!!!!! Icey.........I don't know what to say. But If I can sum it up this way.......I felt like a "virgin petitioner" at the CSC until I got (using Ulings favorite term - fondled!!!).......all I know is that last night after I received the email that I was touched..........I almost needed a cigarette!!!!!!!!!!! And I don't smoke!!!!!!!

they did get your RFE on the 7th though, so you may very well be getting an NOA2 soon!

PS - It appears Mr. Lonely got a similar email when he sent in a request. And lots of touches.

If I could possibly shed some light on this mystery, I shall try......I sent two different and separate messages to the CSC..........the first was by email which I received the address from tim......he said that he received an actual reply from a real person via the email........I on the other hand received the message that the CSC does not reply to email inquiries.........on the other hand......

When I sent a certified. next day delivery with a return receipt letter to the Director of CEC ( I doubt she actually read the letter? but anyway.......the very next day after they received my letter........I received the standard touch via email that they will review my case.

To me, this could be important......I was afraid that my file was misplaced. Still am not 100% sure......but at least I was recognized by someone at the CSC if they took the time to send to me a reply message.....I agree with dwar........there is no clear pattern to determine how the CSC is punching out NOA2's......my theory is as with any type of system that has to meet quotas.......they could just be grabbing any file that they can reach within arms length just to hit their quota for the day or the week............So if yours or my file is sitting at the bottom of some box somewhere in the corner of the room.......it could be months before they eventually get to it........who knows.........

But one good thing about it is that we got the RFE already and we had resend the documents needed its not the IMBRA thing (lack of missing a document reason for our RFE) and they touched our case today saying that on Aug 01, 2006 they got our response to the RFE.

but i hope we wont get an IMBRA RFE or the 2nd RFE I've been hearing about since we got out NOA1

Jan 05, 2006 few months earlier before the IMBRA LAW had been implemented.

I was wondering if there are still NOA1 receipt in Jan 2006 who doesn't have a NOA2 until now?

jshaft........your comment made me curious.......so I went to the vj timelines and punched in all california noa1's in Jan '06.........this is what I found.

there are 69 vj members in the CSC in Jan.......out of that......there were only 5 that did not have an Noa2............now how many of these people just did not continue to update their info.......I am not sure.

But like I said......I was curious so I checked out our timelines.

I filed my petition on the old petition forms after the new IMBRA took effect on March 6, 2006. Due to the new IMBRA, I understand that I need a RFE (request for evidence) to be filled out so that my application can be updated. To date, I have not received my RFE. I understand that all the RFE’s were sent out to the petitioners on or about July 1st.

I have a number of friends who have petitions with the California Service Center and they all received their RFE’s and have returned them.

Director Poulos, please look into my file and forward my RFE so that I can be current with the USCIS. I have already surpassed the 120-day processing time for this type of petition.

As much as I would love for that to be the case YnaYe........it's not likely......I still am waiting for my RFE!!!!

But baby......let me tell you, when I saw how much reaction I recieved from them in that short amount of time.......I am just warming up now>>>>>>No way I'm gonna wait for 30 days for the RFE. I will give them 7 days then I act again and again........then I'll go for the NOA2.........then the NVC.........then to Moscow...
