I wish to thank all the "old-timers" and the newbies for all the responses!!!!!!!! This ole dinosaur (medial moose){lol}
has just wrapped up a night of homework with my three kids and I am reading all the wonderful posts......
I have written a letter to Ekaterina and am waiting for her reply. She is 11 hours ahead of me so she should soon be opening her email right about now.
I just wanted to again say " thanks " for all the support from all my allies in this terrible "trench-war". I would not wish this torture on anyone!!!!!
Ekaterina and I have now surpassed 1000 letters!!!!!!! We have made one of many decisions in our new marriage...........we will definitely not have a computer in the bedroom!!!!!
!!!!!! We are SICK of computers and letters!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL....LOL.....LOL.......LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway..........I pray that I was the last of the March members. I kind of figured I'd be one of the last to go.......just the way my life goes sometimes!!!!!!!!
Any way, thanks again to all, and lets start getting those wedding bells ringing!!!!!!!! "goooo'innn to the chapel and we're..............goooonnnnna get ma......ha......ha......ried!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I finally found the time to send an pm to my friend E&K. Our RFE's were recieved the same day. Emma told me that they were approved one day after the RFE was received. She was concerned and told me to call CSC and find out what the word was........
Well after waiting another 15 minutes.....I give 'em my receipt number and they calmly say....."oh......you were approved 2 days ago"!!!!!!!!
Then 5 minutes after I hung up the phone.......I get the CSC email saying I was approved........Efficient to the end.....Thanks CSC.........
Now on to NVC.
Thanks all who have helped. I hope all those still waiting get yours soon. I never realized how long 210 days were until this year................
I'll keep everyone posted.

I cannot imagine how it has been for the two of you. I am looking at seeing my love in a couple of weeks while you are still waiting to just get the petition out of California. I do pray that everything will be smooth sailing from here. These long distance relationships really suck after a while. Good luck!
Thank you for your considerate words. If I were to type some words, it might sum up the picture of how we have handled these 198 days.
How 'bout Mack truck sitting on my chest when she writes to me that she cries some nights after a bad dream and rolls over searching for my comfort and embrace just to find an empty bed!!!!!
How 'bout razor blade slowly slicing thru the core of my heart when she constantly asks me why there is no approval letter from the great American Government!!!!!!
How 'bout 2 x 4 slapping me full force in the face when my kids ask me constantly - "when's she coming Dad - when?"
Our letters have now exceeded 800. It is only through the grace of God that we find the strength and determination to continue to write each other every single day. We thank God for the internet!!!!!! I could not imagine waiting 6 weeks for a single letter to arrive!!!!!!!!
Have I ever wanted to quit......and selfishly abandon the woman I promised to cherish and love for the rest of her life? Never......!!!!! What kind of a fool do I look like?? I tell her she's the most beautiful woman in all of Russia!!!! And I mean every letter of that statement - I'll wait for her as long as it takes.
If there is one good thing that comes out of this agonizing wait......I now know how much I love her. I now know how much she loves me. "Love is patient" - yah......I totally understand that statement now!!!! Our day will come.
I wish you and yours good luck in Moscow.

I laughed.
...on the Blue cover sheet......it stated, " This RFE MUST be returned by December 23rd" !!!!!!!!!
yah like I think I'll just leave this sitting around the house for another 2 more months!!!!!!!!!
LOL
Hope it goes REALLY fast for you now!!! (Then you can join the rest of us waiting to get in the door at NVC!!!
)
Thanks for the hope.........I'll take every ounce of it now

Celebrating a RFE is crazy , but celebrating none the less! Congratulatons
If a person just surfing the net would stumble across this vj website and just happen to look at all my posts and see that I have been through all this sh*t for a over 197 days now just to receive an RFE......for the main purpose to be married to a girl from another country - 6000 miles away.....where this curious web surfer would think to himself that more challanges and troubles are sure to be on the horizon....like the approval "mountain" to cross, the NVC log jam "mountain" to navigate through, the scaling of the "mountain" of the sending of packet 3 to arrive safely in Russia, the "mountain" of the interview in Moscow, the "mountain" of the visa arriving to her house safely, the "mountain" of the long lines at the Moscow airport in the security section and then the "mountain" of the long 24 hour flight to JFK airport and then yet another "mountain" of the long line at the immigration counter in JFK - then the "mountain" of finding her luggage just so that she can navigate her way to me waiting for her..........I am so much out of breath just looking at all these mountains to cross.......I did not know we were going to need a "Mt. Everest climbers" permit to simply fall in love and get married so that we could live happily ever after...........
If this innocent web surfer saw this journey that still awaited us......I wonder if he would call me and my girl idiots or crazy for taking such a journey!!!!!!!
Well, then I guess I'm just an idiot and crazy for love and that I better but on another layer of clothing because I'm gonna climb those mountains and one day, one day we can feel the warmth of our souls embracing near the fireplace of our new home.
Men are such stubborn creations I guess - to do all this for love!!!!!!! I don't remember Adam having to scale any mountains for Eve!!!!! Heck........how would that fig leaf keep him warm?????
Sorry for being so long winded........I guess I am in "complaining limbo" with the CSC - that I'm ready to mail back my RFE......and now back to patiently waiting again.
Thanks for your reply - Mike
-
And then with my luck, I had a holiday on a monday so my IMBRA RFE arrived one more day later!!!!!!!!
The email stated sent out on Sept 30th.......
postage mark was dated October 4th.........
at my house on October 10th...................
Now first thing tomorrow morning.....It gets certified next day delivery......
I laughed.
...on the Blue cover sheet......it stated, " This RFE MUST be returned by December 23rd" !!!!!!!!!
yah like I think I'll just leave this sitting around the house for another 2 more months!!!!!!!!!
Today is day 197 since my NOA1............I really do not want to be the all-time record holder here!!!!!!
Any other March or April members get their IMBRA RFE's yet?????
Will keep everyone posted of further developments.....
Mike

Everyone has been waiting for the Mr. Lonely to change to Mr. Happy, and hopefully it will soon cause you guys have been waiting for a long time now and you deserve to be approved soon!
Thanks for the reply........I am inching forward again....now let's all put our prayers and attention to E&K....they have been waiting longer than me!!!!!!
And I read that you live 40 miles from the CSC.......ever get tempted to take a drive and pay them a visit?????? This would have crossed my mind after 120 days of waiting.......today is day 188!!!!!!!
Mike
-
Thanks all for the replys..........yes indeed, that was my biggest fear......the file was lost!!!!!! There has got to be in the neighborhood of 25,000 to 50,000 visa applications at the CSC......not just fiancee either.....ie work related etc.........what worker would want to look under that pile of papers for just another application!!!!!!
I just received a pm from E&K.......they are now waiting for their RFE in Mexico Together!!!!!! I told her to stay on top of her Congressional aid. I am now totally convinced that this was the key in my case.
I just checked my status today and I was touched today again!!!!! So now, I have been touched before the sending out of the RFE, during the Sending out of the RFE and now after the sending out of the RFE.
I haven't received the hard copy RFE yet but I will keep everyone posted on developments.
I haven't seen myself run to the mailbox every day like this since I was a kid waiting for that birthday card with money from Aunt Mary in it!!!!!!!!
I received a reply from my gal in Russia......needless to say, she was equally ecstatic of this news!!!! It has been 7 months since we have seen any ray of hope during this process. We thank God for helping us.
I hope my info helps others still waiting for their RFE or approval.
Mike
-
It seems crazy to congratulate you on an RFE!! I can't believe you've been waiting all this time for the IMBRA RFE - that's absolutely ridiculous. I would have lost my cool by now.
'E&K' is in the same situation. His NOA1 is 7 March and still no RFE. See: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34882
I look forward to reading future posts from Mr Happy!
TRUST ME losing my cool did occur many, many times.......I credit this baby step to constant prayer and a few 7 & 7's to mellow me out.......and the hard part hasn't been keeping my cool.....it's been trying to explain to a beautiful wife who has been crying thru her letters to me that she just doesn't understand why?????
What made it absolutely worse, our agent told us back in February that we would be married in 120 days!!!!!!!! If we were told that it would take a year to process........then the let down would not have been that bad!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I didn't know (nor did my agent) about the IMBRA when I sent in my application on March 20th!!!!!!!
I have been pm'ing E& K with some info as well.........Gary........my Congressman's aid DID call your Senator's aid and they DID compare notes and he told her that a phone call to the Congressional Liason was extremely important!!!!!!!! So all you members take note about this........if you are speaking to a Congressional Aid.......ask them to call the Congressional Liason and not just send an Email.......My Congressman's aid told to me that when a phone call is made and a conversation takes place.......IT does get attention FAST!!!! Just look at all my touches after I made contact with my aid.......
So Emma.........make sure your aid calls the Congressional Liason at the CSC.........let me know what happens!!!!!
Kit........thanks for all your information as well and support.....it helped alot
Mike
(a.k.a. Mr. Happy)!!!!
-
LOL!!! It's been a long time coming. Please keep us posted on your development(s) and success stories. I'm still pulling for you and I'm glad to know that you are still in the fight. I love the soon to be Mr. Happy line... That's classic! Cheers!!! - Sheriff Uling
"WHY THANK YOU LITTLE PILGRAM"...(my best John Wayne impression - how'd it come across on-line?)
Anyway.....you betcha I never stopped fighting. Love and fear are driving forces that are not to be messed with!!!!!!! When MR. Lonely (a.k.a) Mr. Happy
wants to smile he persists to the end!!!!!!!!!
I'll advise any future events......
Mike
-
OK........This is what happened today. After work I checked my emials..........I got FIVE (5), pyat, cinco, emails from the CSC ( guess they didn't want me to miss them)!!!!!!!!!! I recieved touches on 9-22, and 9-23 and 9-25 and 9-26!!!!!
The snail mail hasn't arrived yet so I will check it then. I am pretty sure that it's the IMBRA RFE because all the paperwork was filled out correctly and checked by my agent. Let's hope there are no surprises!!!!!
I have been repeatedly in my congressman's office. Thankfully, it is only .75 miles from my house!!!!!
After another second generic response from the CSC to my Congressman's aid, I told her that I did not want to wait another 30 days for a response when August applications were being approved.....I gave to her a second set copies from my application. ( I made triplicates of everything)!!!!!!
Because the response said that an officer was reviewing my file. I told my aid that that was not true because if it was, they would see right away that the process cannot continue until I answered those IMBRA questions!!!!!! So now, I wait for the snail mail hardcopy RFE.
Has any other March member's received their RFE's yet?????????????? Please let me know. I am sure that the pressure from the Congressman's office did it. I told her that I thought that my file was lost.......so she continued to write and call them continuously.
I'll keep everyone posted!!!!!!!
Who would think that it would be celebration time after receiving an email about a stinking RFE????????
Mike

I believe God heard the prayers and approvals have been rolling in.
No let us praise and thank HIM for that.
Lord you deserve all honor and praise.
I thank you Lord for hearing our cries to be united with our loved ones. For seeing our tears we cry day and night.
We believe that the approvals of all will continue to come swiftly.
We thank you for dispatching ministering angles to the USCIS, NVC and embassies all over the world to grant us supernatural favour for the blessings to overtake us .....as many have mentioned they can't keep up with all the approvals coming in now.......Lord let them continue to overtake us.......
What God has joint together let no man tear apart, no man, no USCIS......
We thank you for all you have done and keep doing and we want you to be the center of our life.
In JESUS name, Amen.
Our Father who art in heaven........I thank you for your response to all the prayer requests either in this thread or those made in private. Once again, you show ALL of us, believers and non believers how powerful and generous you are to ALL of us. Just like in the days of your Son Jesus, when he instructed his followers to cast their nets to the other side after a long night of failed fishing. When it was clear that they desired to obey you and trust you, the net was so heavy when they retrieved it - it was filled to it's breaking point. Now we see members creating posts that they cannot keep up with all the approvals.......where days before, the posts were of complaints and disbelief. Now they are simply amazed!!!!!
And again, when your Son turned the impossible into the possible. When 10,000 were hungry after hearing Jesus teach them........you once again showed ALL that your gifts to us cannot be outmatched!!!!!! Just like today, when we see an impossible, broken visa system currently handing out visa's like never before!!!!!
Father, I am thankful that many members on this site no longer hunger for the approval. But there still remains many who have been waiting for a long time for your blessing. It is understood that each of our approvals will arrive when YOU have determined for it to be so. Your reasons for our long waits cannot be fully understood by our simple minds. So we simply turn to our blind faith and believe.
Jesus, you told us that all we have to do is believe and it shall be done!!! If we simply let go and trust you then we shall see great rewards.
And finally, I pray that you bless all the members on VJ who unselfishly give of their talents that you gave to them, so that others can benefit and be calmed and to know that they are not alone during this most difficult journey.
In the name of Jesus - Amen

Mike, c'mon...I remember that thread. You make it sound like you were a martyr. I remember there were quite a few people that told you it was a good idea. Some just decided it wasn't for them.
At any rate, I hope it works out for you...you seem very determined and that's a good thing. Hopefully the congressman will actually help you out. Good luck!
Hi Mrc.......and thanks for responding to my post.
The simple fact that you responded to my post is proof that I do get responses when I write something. Whether it is a positive or negative response........you still took the time to type out a response.
Martyr.......nahhhhhhhhh........determined husband who won't take no for an answer when it involves my wife......you bet your as#!!!!
I'll see you all at the finish line.
Mike

Mike,
I wish you the best of lucks!!!! I really admire your persistence and positive attitude
Please let us know how it goes today, I really need to hear good news, specially from you and Icey who are in USCIS limbo with us since March without RFE or anything to give us hope of approval
Just so you know, my fiance called yesterday the customer service line, and after trying to give him the canned response - he told them that we've been waiting for over 6 months already- they agreed to put an inquiry in our case, but they said it would take 30 DAYS to get an answer
Amazingly enough, they tried to tell him that we had to wait 6 months from the date CSC received our application! but of course he didn't accept that answer and told them that our NOA1 from Nebraska was March 9th and that is the date they should consider.
AFTER posting these statistics on Sunday, I saw something interesting. During the month June everything came to a screeching halt. The wheels of the system just stopped. This was the bottom of the barrel so-to-speak. Then note the numbers again began to climb again in July and again in August.......my estimate is that September will also climb..........so it seemed to me that any phone call to the customer service center or to the Service Center or to a Congressman would not be helpful during this month of June since the engine was completely stopped. And since finding out about the 4 job openings for all the directors at all 4 Service Centers, it just seemed to me that now was the time to go to my Congressman.
The aid, who by the way, just sat and stared at me during my emotional story of how Ekaterina and I met......(I have a talent for quickly getting a woman's attention using a "love-story-tone to my problem- she sat there listening to every word I was saying).....after I finished she told me that she was touched at how we met and that she would do anything in her power to help us!!!!!!!!!!!! I so wanted to hear this- I read many posts where aids were simply rude and uncaring to other members who attempted to do the same thing.........So anyway.......now that the engine seems to be cranking again........now seemed like the right moment to act.
She was stunned at the copy of the USCIS website that had the processing date of March 8th......and then to see Gary's list of all the April, May, June and July approvals. She instantly made copies of everything I gave her.
Another thing she was happy to see was that I had proof ( email rejections, notes from Customer Service agents, proof of certified letters to The Director....and on and on........she told me that all this was good for my case. She even made copies of my "rejection notice" after I tried to send to the CSC an amended application..........she was especially stunned at the cover letter which clearly stated that this applications was an amendment to an existing application and my receipt number and receipt date were in bold red lettering!!!!!!!
Anyway.......Today after I gave to her my detailed, professional letter for the Congressman, she smiled at me and simply told me "this is perfect Mike"......"I will start working on this immediately."
Another thing that the below statistics proved accurate........most approvals come on Mondays..........and yesterday's posts on this website proved that correct. So it the trend is correct........I predict another big round of approvals on Thursday of this week.
Also, someone posted a question of how many March members remain........this was also included in the "waiting the longest list".
So, I will keep everyone up to date as to what happens with my RFE and approval. I have faith that September will be the month I receive both!!!!!!!
Mike

I think you did absolutely the right thing.
Most members of Congress will be back in their districts campaigning for the next 2 months. If we could each get time with them, we might have FAR more impact then sending emails or calling.
Tom
Tom........you were probably not around then, but months ago, I suggested this to all the vj members.......the more inquiries from more members of congress from vj members will get the USCIS's attention quicker......but I was shot down and told not to rock the boat...........they were afraid that our inquiries would get the service centers mad and put our cases to the back of the pile. Well it appears to me by the way they are not following any patterns or sense of order that there is no beginning or end of the piles. Sort of like a free-for-all for any file that is in close proximity will do.
Today, the aid in my congressman's office told me and I quote,
" when a government agency receives a congressional inquiry......they MUST respond.........all inquiries get moved to the head of any problem within that government agency"....

I just found this in Webster's dictionary;;
Taurus: Noun. (a.k.a. Bull or Mike or Mr.Lonely). Extremely STUBBORN, persistant, determined and passionate ANIMAL. Requires love for survival. Do not attempt to stand in this creature's path when he is charging at a red object like a heart. When he is in love, even a firehose will not seperate his passion.
Just thought I'd share........
Mike

Thanks for all the replies.........i'll answer them all in this post.........
Jabree......you are 100% correct......I also have heard that sometines God just shows us the door.....it's up to us to walk thru it.........!!!!!!
Icey.......As long as my heart continues to beat and my love is alive for my wife......there will always be a ray of sunshine for her forever!!!!!
Kit........I'm greasing that fast track as we speak!!!!!!!
William........my unstoppable persuit will ONLY end when I'm in my wife's embrace at JFK airport.....this is what I have sworn to her!!!!!!!!
Gary.........Your correct.........I DO NOT accept ANY forms of grey any more..........
Icey.........I hear what your saying but I do not trust that they will have all the March petitions completed by september's end........I recall that post yesterday of the poor girl who has a February petition filed and they sent her an IMBRA RFE...........I'm not taking any chances...........I using the other Ace in my sleeve again!!!
Uling.......keep the 7 & 7's chilled..............I'm coming to the party!!!!!!!!!! Nothing's gonna stop this charging bull when it comes to love!!!!!!!!!
Barry.........Thanks.....and congrats..........We ALL on this website deserve better.....any man or woman who goes thru all this #######......deserves true love for the rest of our lives.......don't you agree??????
Signed
Mike ( soon to be called Mr.Happy)!!!!!!!

Well, after spending 30 minutes in the office of my Congressman, I was pretty much assured that they will help me with my approval.
I handed the aid a copy of Gary's September 9th VJ approval list along with the USCIS website processing date and I showed her all the approvals after March......she was amazed!!!!!! First, she was amazed at all of us VJers who network and help each other with tons of information and then at Gary's list I provided her. She could not believe the amount of information that was in the list!!!!!!!! Especially all the approval dates after March!!!!
I am writing an official request along with all that I have done and all that CSC hasn't done now. I will be back in his office tomorrow and the aid promised me that the Congressman will get a response from CSC. She is familiar with USCIS.
Then I showed her a copy of my rejection notice after I tried to amend my petition......she made copies of that as well......!!!!!!
So stay tuned sports fans...........I'm going for the RFE first then for the quick approval.........
I'm still pushing onward.........

Michelle1976,
I believe it is the prompting of the Holy Spirit tugging gently at your heart strings.
Yep, seems you guys might be right.
I have always been a caring and sympathic person - I've just never attributed that to God before. So maybe I'm learning more than just patience on this visa journey.
God, please give me continued strength and persistance to continue this journey. Thank you for brining me together with my new friends and through their words allowing me to begin to see your wisdom and beauty.
How's that for a first go?!
Michelle - I was happy to receive your resonse. But trust me - I was not the one writing to you. It was God himself. He used me to relay these words to you. Many people will not believe this, but this is how God works - through others. God was simply using my hands to transcribe what he wanted to tell you. Now that the seeds have been planted in your heart, the rest is up to you to either accept it and to nurture it or to reject it.
Trust me, I'm just as normal as the next guy. I'm crawling my way through this world exactly as you are. I have my moments of fear and uncertainty as everyone else. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that we have a Father who cares for us.
You ask how's that for a first go........you have taken that first step to an eternity of heaven......keep going...
Mike

I'm not sure if 10 to 17 days is considered the average time for my petition to arrive at the NVC and to be prepared to be sent out to the Embassy.
I understand that there was a huge delay at the NVC with many petitions being backed up.
What has been the average timeframe for the petition to be sent out to the various Embassies???
And........ is New Hampshire the only NVC location where all the paperwork is being sent out of country???
