  1. Hi All,

I guess you seniority on VJ by posting a lot seeing as I've been dealing with this on VJ for quite a few years now...

They are coming to a close though..My interview is on Friday!!!!I am very nervous but realize it's all out of my hands now.

The shocking part to me is that I was expecting it to take much longer...I only filed on July 25th, 91 days later I will have my interview.

I hope it's as easy as many have wrote it to be. I will report back on Friday, crossed fingers would be much appreciated and anything to calm my nerves would be too. Thanks,VJ!

Best of luck!!! I hope the interview goes very well. :)

  2. Wow!! well prepared and very well organized. Mine was organized more or less the same way. I put all my folders and envelopes in one big bag so it wouldn't be such a hassle to have to bring 3 or more bags with me. I also brought some office supplies just in case...extra paper clips, ballpens...Like you said, better to be over prepared than under prepared. Before the interview, I made sure I knew by heart all the important dates and facts. I also had someone (pretended to be a consul) give me a mock interview to help me get the feel of it so that I could be more confident and relaxed.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. We put all the immigration documents (K packets, AOS forms, birth cert., financial docus, etc.) in protector sheets, put tabs on each file to keep it organized and easy to locate. They are all in a big binder. As for the evidence such as cards, memorabilia, etc. I will most likely make a scrapbook out of them once the whole process is done . I am sure that my family and I would enjoy going through them in the future. :)

  4. My local office (not las vegas) also wouldn't let me get an infopass appt. and I tried for about a week doing this. Then I read a tip on the internet..... When you get to the page that tells you to "Select the kind of service you need", select "You need information or other services." It worked for me. Try if it will work for you. Another tip I read was to try scheduling during off-peak hours. Good luck!

  5. We have a similar timeline and same local office. I actually made an infopass last friday, not for my AOS though but bec my EAD is way outside the 90 day mark. I did observe several (NOT ALL) looking irritated and speaking rudely to the people they were servicing. Thank God I was serviced by a nice lady!!! and that my day wasn't ruined.... just wish that infopass did something good because there is still no sign of life with my EAD. I didnt ask about my AOS. I guess I was just in a hurry to get out of there! lol

  6. thank you guys for all the congrats and goodluck...finally i got a chance to post here again....oh boy i was so busy i already finished my 40hrs for this week and i have 20hrs more for overtime friday & saturday my rest is only sunday i really love my work, time is so quick when iam at work and all of my co-workers r too nice so im so excited to go to work everyday...goodluck for those who still looking for job your time will come thats for sure.

Things seem to be going really well at work! That's really great! Wonderful attitude...keep it up! Cant wait to get my ead so i can finally start looking for work & earn a bit...esp with xmas being just around the corner. ;)

  7. I know how anxious you are waiting for the EAD. Well, yours is still better. I've been waiting since May and I've called them and all they said was to wait for answer in about 30-45 days!

    It's just unbelievable.....

Maybe you want to try contacting your Congressman? I did, however, all they said was the USCIS is still processing your request. Duh!

So now, I'm just waiting for my AOS instead. :D

Sorry to hear that angelique. The service rep i spoke with said CSC is already processing June EAD applications, so HOPEFULLY you will get yours very soon. We'll be contacting our Congressman probably within the week and hopefully something good will come out of it. Trying to get an infopass appt. at my local office is turning out to be Mission Impossible.:lol:

  8. Oh my...I am also getting the same results with the infopass. I've been trying to make an online appt. since Friday.

What I did to find out who our district representative is was to google (ex. new york 8th district+congressman). The website tells what number to call and what documents/info. need to be sent if it concerns the USCIS. I haven't done this yet but I plan to do so within the week.

It is nice to have a hobby that will keep us busy but you're right in saying that it is not the same as working.

  9. Hi! I am also experiencing the same troubles with my EAD. Today I've spoken with two people telling me two totally different things. I don't know who's more confused at this point...me or them?! Anyway, one rep also told me that they are just getting to applications filed in June. My application was filed June 17th but accdg to the rep., since mine was transferred on July 13, I would have to go with that date and not June 17th! I am trying to make an infopass on the USCIS website. If unsuccessful, I will contact our congressman as arwen4433 and others whose EADs were delayed have done. I hope our EAD woes will end very soon! I too cant wait to start working! My brain is turning into slush! :o
