Hi There,
Last year in some online account with USCIS, I could see the documents I had submitted to USCIS when filing N 400 and could see the copy of I 797 they had sent me. Anyone knows how we can do it now? They have sent some notices to me and I want to see them online before they physically arrive? anyone ?
Thanks

Thank goodness I did. Not easily though. It was a difficult process to get appointment and convince them.

Dear Boodaloo1,
I am in the same exact 100% situation as your husband. Do not listen to people who do not have enough information - you don't have to be a serious criminal to be asked to submit re-verification. Read the I-9 detailed handbook. Stamp has to reverified and it is not that employers forget about it. There are automatic flags in most HR systems to remind them that an employee's documents are expiring.
What I did learn though is that the employer was unfair and illegal in asking for a reverification when I showed them my two year un expired GC. I could sue them for that but I did not have that knowledge then. Now, since I am in the same situation as your hubby, I have done PhD on this topic.
Read Carefully what I have done and hopefully it will help you. If you find anything else, please please please share with me. I have a good job and don't want to lose it at all.
I saved all documents from USCIS - my infopass appointment letter, the cancellation of infopass due to corona closure. My notice of action, stamps and pending i-751 status from the USCIS account to show the HR when they ask for it that I have applied but USCIS cancelled. I have called USCIS and talked to Tier 2 officer and they said it is up to the employer to accept it or not but they recommended that I ask my employer to call or check USCIS website and confirm my pending status. I asked my sister who is in HR and she said that unless they are looking to fire an employee, in such cases at extreme, they put an employee on hold /freeze with no pay and ask them to get the documents or they can use the driver license and social sec card if license is not expired. In my case license expires same day as stamp. contact me privately if you want to discuss because my stamp expires on May 1 and in SF, we do not even get appointments any time soon. I am so worried and there is no way out but to wait and watch the situation unfold. Maybe we will be able to get our stamps before they expire!

Hi All,
I am from California. I applied for ROC in Oct 2018 and then became eligible for Naturalization in Oct 2019. Till then had heard nothing from the ROC and so I just applied N 400. My ROC got transferred to Nashville during this time and I have no ideas whats going on now.
It has been more than a year (close to year and half and no progress on ROC)
If I read and interpreted correctly, if we apply N 400 while ROC is awaited, we do not get a 10 yr GC? Has anyone experienced something similar? Thanks for the feedback and help.

Hi. I had to apply for removal of conditions two months ago but could not do that. I have only one month before my conditional GC expires and I just got a really good job. They need a proof that my work authorization will be extended. I am applying for Removal of conditions tomorrow. How long does it take to get the letter from USCIS considering that the GC renewal is taking two years at CA where I live. really very worried and so angry at myself for not handling the timelines efficiently. I really need this job. can someone give more information??
Does the employer accept the letter from USCIS??
Thanks so much

hello,
I have received USCIS notice of removal of conditions to be applied in the next month or so. How much time is it currently taking to get the permanent GC after the Form i 751 is filed from California?
Can I get a job meanwhile? Thanks

So finally friends ----- I have my Green card.....Yaaaaay
Exactly ten months after applying I have the card now valid for two years.
I have a few questions:
1. Who gets a 10 year green card? My GC is marriage based. Do all marriage based GC candidates get two years GC?
2. My son back home also got his immigration approved and passport stamped. He will be joining us soon. I want to know whether his card will also be two years conditional?
All comments and replies will be appreciated.

Guys I had my interview today and the lady was quite pleasant. She interviewed about all our past marriages and details of ex spouses and all kids and very minute details as to why the divorces took place and wrote names of ex spouses. She then said to me that was your family not skeptical of you marrying someone who was already married twice. She was nice and understanding.
Long story short - she said that I have to submit a birth certificate stating both parents names. I had submitted the one with mother's name only as those are standard in my home country. She said she would put my case on hold and wait for my birth certificate and I should wait for a letter in mail with details. She kept talking to us and looked reassuring though. I am soooooo worried. Actually sick now
Please please please reply back...I need a lot of support and guidance . Thanks !!

Friends, finally I have my AOS interview on 21st Sep. I am excited but nervous at the same time...
Can someone please tell me the kind of questions they will ask and what should we take with them in addition to the usual stuff they have asked for?
We do not have a lot of photographs of family and friends though...just the two of us at many places together.
Just to update, I came on visit visa and got married in some critical circumstances to my husband who is US citizen and then we waited for a couple of months because I wanted to go back home and apply but things did not let us do that and I stayed here.
I need your advice and blessings. Please write back!

Hello friends!
First if all, thank you all so much for being there for each other otherwise it would have been so difficult to keep guessing what happening...
Finally almost 7 months I got my EAD/AP combo card. You will be so surprised to know that my biometrics wer don after 6 months of applying for the GC and AOS. They completely forgot about it and then we had to shake these guys and after infopass appointment, next day I got notice for biometrics!!!
Anyways, the USCIS people are really sweet and they expedited my EAD and I got my card today.
Any idea how long before my i-130 and 485 get approved. I am so anxious now and everyday checking my status.
Most Importantly, can i get an SSN on my EAD? I went to get SSN and they told me they cant do it because I was on visit visa and needed 797 approved or any other legit document. Is EAD valid for getting SSN?
Thanks and love you all. Good Luck to all of us

Guys I finally got an email update saying that my new AED card is mailed to my address. You will not believe it but I got my biometrics after 6 months of applying for the GC AP AED and AOS!!!!! They just forgot about it and I was so stupid to not follow up till April when I woke up. From my slumber joined this group and started follow up. Went to info pass a couple of times sent expedited request and finally got this message today.
My questions to you are:
1. In how many days will I get the physical EAD card after email confirmation
2. What about social security number. Will I be able to get SSN with EAD and get a drivers license. I was so frustrated that I had applied for AB 60 License and got my permit. Will I change it to regular license after getting SSN?
3. After EAD how much time it usually takes for GC
Thanks so much waiting for your replies !!

Guys and gals, can you believe it that I applied in Dec 2015 for my AOS after marriage to US citizen and also my I- 130 and I-765 and AP. I have NOT EVEN HAD my biometrics till now!!! I called the USCIS people in April and they said they don't seem to find anything wrong with my application. I made an infopass appointment on May 17th and guess what! The next day I got an update that I will have my biometrics in early June. I don’t have an idea what was going on and where my file was but apparently they woke up after the infopass appointment.
Secondly, my 17 year old son is abroad and my husband has applied for his I-130. We just got an update saying that petition has been approved and we should wait for the notice for next steps. What does this mean? How much time it will take. He is in Karachi, Pakistan.
Please do reply!! this is a great forum and it provides excellent support. Love you all and best of luck to all of us!!

I also forgot to send a copy of the previous divorce decree in my local language. I just sent the English translation and got an RFE for one of the cases that they need it in the parent language too. For the other cases that I submitted, should I wait for RFE or send the parent language copies myself with the NOA?
Also, the RFE said that they need certified true copy in English and with the translator verifying that he is a authorized translater. I have copies in Urdu which is my parent language that those are certified true copies but it doesn't say that translator is a legit translator. Should i send these copies and take a chance or get the copies again from home country?
Would translations from home country be acceptable or do they have to be translated and notarized from the US? it is too extensive here!!!
Thanks people!! you all are such a great support
