I don't think so. I filed my AOS within 1 year and still got the rfe for medical exams even tho i already had the biometrics done.

Hi. I filed for my i-485 in January of 2017.  Today (13 months later) we get an RFE stating that we need a complete form i-693 completed by a uscis civil surgeon.  It states that my overseas medical examination expired on 7/20/2017 (exam was done overseas on 7/20/2016).  I didn´t think that vaccination records had an expiration date.  Is it true that I need to take all these tests again?  Thanks in advance.

Ok thank you.  We are just nervous about not sending in enough since we had to send in more info late last year for evidence showing financial support for the I-485.

Thanks.  One last dumb question:  The instructions say to include a copy of a document issued by USCIS showing present status in the U.S.  I thought this was the EAD card or notice of receipt of form i-485, but those are among the other requirements.  Which document are they asking for specifically?  Thanks.

Hi, I have already applied for AoS and would like to travel back home for medical treatment.  However, in the instructions for the form I-131 on page 9, it states that a letter from a physician explaining the nature of my medical condition is needed.  I basically need to have my dentist fix an ailing tooth of mine that I do not want done in the U.S.  Do I really need to obtain all this information if I came here on a k-1 visa and applying for adjustment of status?  Also, if they deny the application, do I get my money refunded back to me?  thanks in advance.

That was quick!  They received our paperwork on Jan. 4 and have yet to receive ANY  news on our interview or case at all   Should we start to panic?

Eu estou no mesmo desespero, mandamos o caso em outubro, tivemos um RFE (request for evidence) faz um mês que eles avisaram no RFE e nada de dar continuação do nosso caso.

Vai com tudo e segue ele. Recebi meu green card tem duas semanas.

Me conta vc atualizou teu passaporte com nome de casada pra fazer o ajuste de status? eu perguntei no POE se precisaria atualizar o passaporte e eles disseram que pouco importa o nome no meu passaporte se é de solteira ou de casada que o que vale é o green card..

Eu particularmente esperei o consulado entrar em contato para começar a agir, foram exatas 5 semanas depois da aprovação do uscis. Eles entraram em contato com meu então noivo por e-mail, que continha todas as informações necessárias sobre o exame médico, documentos pra entrevista, etc.

Em todo caso, pq vc não envia um e-mail pro consulado perguntando? Eles respondem rápido. Immigrationrio@state.gov

Olá amigos! Eu e meu noivo temos o numero rdj mas ainda não recebemos nada do consulado? Será que deveriamos agendar a entrevista mesmo assim? Se agente agendar será que o consulado nos enviará algumas instruções ou pacotes pelo correio? Estou cheia de dúvidas, não sabemos se esperamos pela bendita carta ou não...
