Damn.... I had no idea, I went to the Us embassy here and asked them if I need to file taxes and they told me no, there was no need because I was below the income they ask for in order to file, so I believed them and have not done them.

I haven't filed taxes, I've been living here in all Salvador for quite some time now😣

I don't have a way to proof my income, I work with my mom who is an entrepreneur. We both have family in the states therefore we have sponsors and a place where we're gonna go, but is that sponsor that we need what I'm in doubt with....

I'm in doubt with this form. This is the situations: currently I'm living in El Salvador with my husband of almost 8 years and my 2 daughter ( 6&4 ) which are US citizens, I'm trying to go back to the states and petition my husband my question is do we all need a sponsor or will the sponsor just be for my husband?

So as you can see on my timeline my case was approved quickly, had some family issues and had to pospone the process, I contacted NVC and they have retaken my case, of course I have to pay all fees again since more than a year passed by without me notifying them, but we are back with the process.

 

Have any of you received mail from NVC? Or is everything actually thru email?

My case was transferred. Just got an update. April 25 PD. Im so upset. I thought I would get an approval going into month 5. This is beyond upsetting to me. The new office could treat it like a new case. the hell is this

My case was transferred to TX and 2 weeks after it was approved so transfer is something good my PD 04/15

Our PD is March 29th too. Its so frustrating to see a lot of approvals and our case just sitting there with the " case received " status. I would appreciate if someone could answer Jeniafrench question. When should we call them after the 5 months mark or before that and what to ask ?

You are free to call them now but for what I read before they might just tell you that you are within the 5month mark and they will tell you that they are working in a certain date which sometimes is not even true. You can try calling and just ask them for an update in your case

Around 5-10 days, I got mine 6days after they sent email notifying they received my documents

When your status changes on the uscis website to "Sent to department of state"(NVC). However a few times USCIS send petitions to NVC and not update their system to show that it was sent.

So I asked before if there was any problem with me going back to my husband's country while the process is completed and had a couple of responses saying that there was no problem, the situation has changed cause my case was approved on 08/15 so it will be soon sent to NVC, can I still go back or do I have to stay in the US also who do I notify about me leaving the country? And last but not leas (lol) does anybody know how can I pay the remaining fees I read it has to be through US bank account but I don't have one.

They will use April 19. It wasn't sent to the wrong service center, the problem is that Nebraska is overloaded, some files like your friends and like mine got transferred to Texas for faster process, so the fact that his/her case got transferred is a huge plus.
