  1. No approval here. We have (from CSC) an April NOA1 and receipt of IMBRA RFE of 5 July. While I am happy for everyone who has received their approvals, it is becoming very difficult to see all the approval emails without becoming despondent...

My life and that of my children have basically been put on hold pending magic approval from CSC. I am happy to wait, but it is the not knowing what is going on, when we can move to the states etc which is starting to make me a headcase...

Here's hoping everyone gets approved quickly and smoothly.

  2. Honestly, I have been increasingly thinking that this might be a story for the news to cover. We need something to get a buzz in the community or the powers that be engaged in the inefficiencies at the CSC location because right now they are like a deer in headlights. :help:

Does anyone have any contacts at the Washington Post or New York Times so we can pitch a story? One well placed article can spur a lot of reaction and folks jumping to attention. Many o' government agencies have had to change their tune after a media spotlight was put on them.

Also, with this being an election year, politicos would jump on the outrage wagon if there were enough sob stories.

Perhaps someone knows of some "news stories" links at some major publications where links to this site could be attached. Is a great investigative story for a journalist!

You don't need a contact to get a news story out...someone needs to put together a press release and then just forward it to the appropriate outlets via email (I can get my hands on the list), or if there is someone willing to stump up the money, to the wires. That is all there is to it.

The press release should have the basic facts, what has been done and the lack of gvmt response, the human interest aspect and contact details of those who would be willing to share their story and probably the owners of this website for comment as well.

There you go- press release 101. Hope this helps
