Your application has been received by the Washington Field Office and is currently awaiting review prior to scheduling of the interview. Once we have reviewed your information we will send you a list of dates for you to choose your interview.

Yeah seems like you're in the background check stage. As soon as that's done your application will be "expedited" meaning you'll get priority dates for interview. Check your email often. Mine came through the email SEANATZRESCHEDULE@dhs.gov. SEA is for Seattle but yours will look something like that. You'll probably get a date by the end of the month. Good luck!

We filed N-400 application in CA and a few days later had to move to TX. I changed the address on the green card online. Not wondering what is the process now?

Will the N-400 servicing center for CA take care of this application even after we have moved? I am sure changing the jurisdiction is not an option.

Like Jimmy asked did you receive anything? Call them right away and see what address they have on file for you and if they mailed anything to you. It says on the website that you're supposed to update your address X days before you move.

So a bit of a backstory, they rejected our initial application because I pulled a bonehead move; I was in a hurry at the post office, and on the check, wrote $680.00 in the number field, but wrote out, "Six hundred and 00/100" dollars, so they couldn't process my payment. They sent the whole thing back, which took a few weeks since we're overseas, so we re-filed the end of April and they just cashed the check on the 6th, so here's hoping they process it completely this time.

Oh bummer! Mine was also rejected the first time. I suggest calling the military hotline at least once a week to check on it and as soon as you're inline for interview call the regular phone line and ask them to expedite it. I don't know if you know this but you need to have at least a year left on your tour before the interview date. Good luck!

Thanks again for your help. Unfortunately both me and my wife live abroad, so we can't ask for tier 2 and get a call back. THey don't call international numbers...

Oh I see. It looks like your only option is to email them. where did you send your application? You can email the lockbox LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov to see if they processed your application or you can email USCIS directly

uscis.webmaster@uscis.dhs.gov. It might take a week for them to get back to you.

I'm not military. I'm working for an American institute of research abroad, that's what qualifies my wife for 319b. So I can't call the military helpline. If I call USCIS customer service, I'm afraid they won't be very helpful. What other options do I have?

You can call the USCIS hotline and ask to talk to a tier 2. Tier 1 don't have access to that kind of information but they'll try to put in a service request and get you off the phone; politely decline and ask for tier2. Good luck! I know how stressful this process can be as my first application was returned and I had to resend it. It took me 3 weeks to get it back.

A bit over 2 months since we filed for N400 under 319b (expedited naturalization) with fingerprint cards included. We haven't heard anything since the notice of receipt. Is this time frame normal?

No no no. I suggest calling the military helpline. It's either they returned your application or they sent you a letter of action and it got lost.

I filed 03/21, received 03/23/, receipt date 03/30, fingerprint 04/18 but I did early walk-in 04/11. Called to expedite on 04/21, in-line for interview 04/22, got an email on 04/28 asking me if 05/05 would work for me and I said yes. They scheduled the interview right away and emailed me the interview letter. Oath is on 05/21. So exactly 2 months for me.

Yay! Congrats. Whether or not you get a checklist I'd still bring tax returns, marriage certificate, child birth certificate, passports, green card, interview letter and all the other evidence you have. My file was HUGE! So they probably collect everything about you that you filed that was federal and from previous Uscis applications. To be safe just bring everything lol

No. They sent it on the 28th and it usually takes at least a week for me to get USCIS' mail so I'll get it at the end of the week. I did receive a letter they had sent me on the 22 when I made a service request saying that they requested my file from Nebraska and it was in transit. That's about it.

The move is the reason why they expedited my application. So I had to prove it.

She only asked 4 and I got them all right. She looked a little sick to be honest ? she was not in a good mood.

I am curious to know what happened at the interview. What documents did the IO ask you to give him there?

She didn't ask for anything really I volunteered it( proof that we are moving overseas for 3 years) as soon as we started. We walked into the office, she swore me in, asked for passport and ID, then did the writing, reading and history test. She asked me these questions:

1.What group of people were taken as slaves...

2. Highest court?

3. Why were colonists fighting British?

4. Who makes federal laws?

Then she asked questions about the application, had me sign the bottom and as she was printing something out she stamped approved on the application. She then told that I have been approved and "they" scheduled for the oath ceremony at the Boeing Musem of flight on the 21st which is annoying because they do same day oath. Hope this helps

They cash either the day they pick it up or the day after although It might take up to 48h after the fact to show up in your account.

Can you get a certified copy? I would call and ask to be transferred to a tier2 (IO) or make an Infopass.

Interesting..they don't ask for tax documentation?

They didn't ask for it maybe I've only been married for 1.5 years ?. The N400 ask to bring it so I'll play safe and bring them.

Oh and the interview letter was just emailed to me yesterday after I accepted the appointment. A few hours after, my case status changed to interview was scheduled....we mailed you a notice...Now I'm wondering if they are talking about the N659?

Yeah it's possible. If you check the N400 instructions, towards the end, they give you the exact list of evidence you need to bring. It might be the same list as N659; it's long and detailed.

Hello, In addition to your appointment letter, did they also send you form N-659 (Naturalization Interview Document Checklist).

Someone told me that very recently (from last two weeks) they are sending out the form N-659 list together with the interview letter.

Apparently the checklist aligns with the list of items stated on the new N-400 application form instructions. It looks like now they are telling us exactly what to bring to the interview.

The interview letter does include a list of documents that I need to bring to the interview. I attached a picture for you. It looks to me that it is a pretty standard list as 90% of the items don't apply to me.

Congratulations! That's not much notice,,, they almost always give you 4 or 5 weeks notice for the interview... must be because you're a 319b filer.

Thanks! I know right! I haven't even started studying yet lol I'll get to it tonight. I also need to look up what paperwork I need to bring to the interview. The list they have on the website is so short it worries me; it's pretty much marriage license, hubby's birth certificate, green card and appointment letter.
