  1. Just so you all know, my wife is the same way and I'm the the one stressing all the time. They won't understand the pressure until they petition for someone.

You don't act stressed. Lol. See I knew it was a front.

Hope all is well with you my dear :)

    :dancing: Approved !!! :dancing:

Thank you everyone for all the help.

Asked for all the original doc. marriage certi, PCC, birth certi. no other proof like photos together or anything.

Questions asked - how did you guys meet

    what does your husband do?

    does he like it there?

Done withing 45-50 mins of entering the consulate.

Currently the CEAC status says Issued.

Good luck to all. Hang in there. :goofy:

    Awesome!! Congrats.

  2. Hon-tee, I know and everyone says....enjoy where you are right now because life is going to change soon. (sideeye) Okay.....If he's tell me to "relax mon, relax" one more time, I promise y'all gone see me on World News. "Woman looses it after husband says relax." And if he's not saying that....it's (brace yourself)..."It's just gas..". So if I say, gosh...my head has been killing me all day...."It's just gas...you gas will make your head hurt." Last night I was telling him that my iron level must be really low because I have been feeling light headed and dizzy...."It's just gas, gas will make you feel like you want to pass out." Really? Okay.....

He didn't tell u to drink tea. Lol I know mine would. Smh ha

  3. So, this morning while sitting in horrible traffic I read this and chuckled. Not at you but with you...because there have been times where I wanted to scream or scratch someone's eyeballs out with dull fingernails. The ironic thing about this post is that just last night I was telling my husband that this process is "getting oooooooooooooold" (and I emphasized old in that exact manner). And I added that I can't take anymore and ready to fight. He laughed and told me, "just relax, relax." Well he has the patience of something or someone from another light year...which is a good thing in some respect because I am the polar opposite. But I went on to explain to him how this process is like having another job (but I am so glad that I didn't pay someone else to do it for me) and I have been consumed by paper, pens, binders, folders, markers and tabs and if I NEVER EVER SEE ANOTHER FREAKING OFFICE SUPPLY I would not complain and it wouldn't bother me one bit. And (I know it's not grammatically correct to start a sentence with AND but I did it), it seems that I have been doing everything that he has not a care in the world because he knows that "I got it."

I say all of that to say this....yes, this process can get the best of you. It's not so much the tons of paper that you go through but the wait. I have made it a point to ensure that whatever phase we enter that I explain every (and I mean EVERY) detail to him..not because I want him to feel my pain (well kinda) but because I want him to truly understand the process. So now here we are about 5 business days from the interview, and boy have the tides changed but poor little thing is starting to see it (he doesn't know that I know--my mother-in-law keeps abreast). I think that it will all come to fruition for him when the days draw nearer and he's sitting in front of the CO (if he hasn't done that yet). And (yes, I did it again)..men are built to be tough on the outside, he's not going to let you or anyone see him sweat. So, yes, it does feel like a lonely road, you are a party of one and your better half often leaves you speechless because they not get the full magnitude of what this encompasses--in the end it will be all worth it and your frustration will be a thing of the past.

*If this doesn't help--opt for a bucket of Garrett's popcorn :dancing:

Speaking alot of truth yet again. This process is draining and they really don't understand. He who feels it knows it. Lol. Only the strong survives I guess.

  4. So...my mother-in-law..smh. You all think no am crazy..check this...

She send me a voice note of this lady talking and she seh.."mi dunno wuh mi a duh...took mi son to the doctor and him seh, him sick in him belly from da watta from da pipe...its no good. Give him gas station arthritis in him belly and mi don't no wuh him gone do. Him must buy puralized watta."

No...you see why I am always laughing because she now sends me messages all day to make me even crazier!

Heard that one yesterday and nearly died. Lol

Sorry I laughed at the little lady because she really think it's a real illness. Poor soul.

  5. Really sorry you are getting slammed when there is no reason to Many parents have to leave their children behind and he was with a family member unfortunately we all know life happens. Really sorry for your situation.

Why not apply to get the child a visitor visa and you file for him in the meantime. One of you would fly down there and be there at interview stating your case.

Nothing is impossible. People always saying no denial that you can't do yet I know someone who applied for visitor visa while his I-130 petition was at service center in security checks for 21 moths when he applied and he was approved. In US now since November going back just before his 6 months is up.

I said that to say NOTHING is impossible and you could apply and probably be seen fast. Give it a shot. :goofy:

This was going to be my advise. Just had to read to see if someone said it yet.

A visitor's visa would be perfect for her situation.

  6. Good early morning all...this is my 3rd attempt in trying to provide an update after speaking to my husband...internet connection issues...apparently an outage in my area. So here goes:

Important Tips (in no particular order):

    1. He said it's best to arrive early

    2. Once inside, you will be briefed on what documents are needed and the order in which they should be in.

    3. Although numbers are issued for each person, make sure you listen for you name to be called throughout the process.

    4. If you don't have the FREE downloadable medical form, they have them on hand for purchase for approx. 37JMD

    5. Cellphones are allowed but limited use

    6. You will need the address of where you will reside abroad and a local number and point of contact

    7. Ensure that your name is written on back of 4 passport photos

    8. Mothers will need to provide the name and date of birth of all children. This will be one of the items you will be briefed on before they start calling names and numbers to be seen.

    9. The longest wait in between services he experienced was about 30 mins.

    10. You will always be instructed or escorted on where to go next.

    11. You will visit the cashier twice. First time will be to pay for the exam and the second for vaccination payment.

    12. You will be provided receipts for all payments rendered. The receipt for the medical will have when the results will be ready for pickup and anyone can pick up the results on your behalf as long as they have that.

    13. He said it's good to be organized, He saw many people with "Fedex" type envelopes rambling through a lot of papers...he said make its easy even though you have time to get things together.

    Exam:

He stated that they check eyes, height, weight, blood pressure...routine vitals. X-Ray was taken prior to seeing the physician--this where he experienced the longest wait. Once in with the physician you will go through a exam like any other exam; remove clothing to your undergarments and checked. The doctor will also go through a battery of questions to collect your medical history, basically confirming what's on the medical form.

The doctor will tell you what vaccinations you will needed and you will be sent to the cashier to render payment. After payment, you will be given the shots and blood taken. The nurse or receptionist will ensure that you have visited every "department" to have the required services rendered and then you are done.

    Fees:

    1. Medical -15875 JMD (based on the picture of the receipt he sent me).

    2. Vaccinations - 8400 JMD (this will vary based on the vaccination each person needs. He needed 3).

He said that even though there were lots of people, the staff is very efficient with moving people through the process. Don't look for any small talk, he said. Hope this gives a little insight.

Can't wait to see the APRROVAL confirmations flow through for each and everyone. Blessings and good vibes!

*I will not say "good luck", as luck has to do with a game of chances. I pray for the very best for every single one of you as you move forward in this process and Godspeed.

Alright. Thanks for that information hun.

Now let the countdown really begin.

  7. Good morning!!! Hope everyone is well...even Picobenz who say he is "selling out"....hahaha

Just wanted to let you all know the hubster is at Andrews right now for his extremely early medical appointment. I have received 3 calls --- poor thing. Anyways, I am being told that when he arrived (before the rooster crowed), there was already a line formed for Immigration medicals. Didn't realize that, that was the way it worked but any ways, I wanted to share with you all so you can be a little prepared for a possible line when you arrive. The last call I got, he indicated that they are already inside and even though there was a line..they were moving quick.

I'm sure that I will get a dozen or so more calls before its over with. I am positive I will get one when it comes around for the vaccinations, as he as admitted that "mi don't like needles..." If only I could be a fly on the wall to see that go down.

*Thanks Princesslee for checking on us and wishing us well!

Yes, I would love to see too. The "big, tough man" scared of a little needle. Lol

Tell him patience. Lol I know mine will offer me the same annoyance that day. They truly are a blessing (blank face).

It's getting real my dear. D-day in 14 days. EXCITING.

  8. I am kicking myself because it was 460.00 and I said I will wait until next week...we'll it never went back down. In June, after the interview, the price is showing 560-something.

Oh well....and Petes30 is right...I refuse to pay that...you know how many times I could circle the globe for that price? Heck, I could almost get to Dubai and back.

You can say that again. Call me cheap lol

  9. Morning...

Just checking in on my peeps. Picobenz, Petes30, Princesses and Mrsbrwn and msbrwn...how you guys holding up?

Good morning my dear. I'm doing better. Just making preparations for hubby's arrival. Lol I'm so excited, I'm not even worried about interview....I lied I am, but you know this man say to me this morning? "Babes, I leave this all in God's hands, so the interviewer can ask me anything him want. Mi ready"...alright now. I'm taking my chill pill. Lol

    Just PM you...

I know...one wait to another...but I am telling you the time is going to fly

How you holding up? Time drawing close. Waiting for your approval.:)
