Hello, I am Canadian and entered the US on a B-2, met my husband and got married before it expired. This was a year ago and we are in the process of waiting for my adjustment of status to become a permanent resident. I have received my work authorization and my Advance Parole travel document has been approved. I want to visit Canada but would like to ask if anyone has been in a similar situation. Were you allowed to re-enter the US. The document states that I am able to re-enter multiple times until 2018 but it also says that if there is an unlawful presence (overstayed visa), one may be inadmissible for 10 years.
Please let me know your experiences. It is very much appreciated. Thank you

Hello, just thought I'd ask how how long did others have to wait to have their interview scheduled. I received my EAD card on January 30, 2017 but still have yet to have a date for my interview. Please advise as to what I can expect or what your experience was like.
Also, does anyone know approximately how long I have to wait to be able to travel? MY EAD card says, "Not valid for US Re-entry". I am Canadian and would like to travel again.
Thank you!

Hi everyone,
Just had a question regarding what the average wait time is to get confirmation that the USCIS has received our application.
On October 25, we sent in the I-130, I-765 and I-485 and UPS confirmed that it was received on October 27. It is now November 16 and we still have not received the receipt number or a notice from USCIS.
Anyone else experiencing a similar wait time? I'd like to know that they got it and have been trying to speak to someone on the phone but will get a call back in 5 business days.
Thank you kindly!

Hello, I'm hoping someone can provide me with some info.
I am Canadian and met my American husband while I was traveling in the US. I am applying for an Adjustment of Status and am wondering which application type (Part 2 of form below) would apply for my situation. I can on a visitor visa and now my husband is sponsoring me.

Hello All,
I am referring to this link ( www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2 ) as a guide for my husband's application to sponsor me. I am Canadian and he is American. Can I please ask for someone to clarify if the I-30 package is to also include the I-485 package? Do I send them together or begin with the I-30? Any clarification I can get would be very helpful as I am not sure where to begin?
If someone could please let me know what document they sent first to begin the process, this would be very much appreciated. Thank you kindly for your help.

KierenHby - Yes, Canadians do not require a visa to enter the US and I never said I "went through the hassle" of applying for one. After I entered as a tourist, my passport was stamped with B2, which all Canadians get upon entering the US as a tourist.
Nothing else is at play here. I'm simply asking using this forum as a way to obtain advice from others who share a similar experience.

Thank you all for your replies and experience with my inquiry.
Boiler - what other issues would B2 suggest? May I ask that you further expand? Thank you!

Hello,
I am a Canadian who met my fiancé while on a B2 visa. I didn't know him prior to entering the US so applying for a K-1 visa would not have been possible. We would like to get married next week however, I would like to ensure that I am not overstaying my allowed time in the US (my B2 visa expires in 3 weeks). After we are wed, am I allowed to stay in the US while I apply for AOS? When should I apply for AOS?
Your assistance and advice is appreciated. Thank you kindly!
