just an update. we got our i485 approved Yay! thanks all ??

we filled our i485 last Jan 31,2016 and just got our approval on April 20 2016 without an interview. Yay! Hoping that you guys get your approval soon ??

we've been there , you just need to pass all the documents they need and just wait. Now we are only waiting for my wife's green card ? we filled jan 2016.

i read somewhere that a passporr stamp is needed? what are the requirements for this?

And also what do we need to apply adter this? is it the 10 years GC or naturalization?

Just want to know if its possible to apply for a cr1/ir1 petition after i485 denial? Is there a special consideration under certain circumstances such a pregnany?? what steps can we take? shall I let my spouse go back to her country? need advices can we fall under prosecutional discretion? **sigh** don't know what to do.

After 2 months of waiting and an RFE we just had our EAD/AP application approved and i'm just curious if EAD/AP approval means a strong chance of i485 approval? Any ideas??

Hmm I'm just wondering that if I received an rfe on my i485 petition based on i864 issues, that does mean that I don't have any problem on the other documents I submitted in my i485 packet?? such as medical/ proof of marriage etc..

The CSC has not handled the interview waivers for years now. Family based AOS cases are all sent to the NBC. They are processed there without interview, or sent to local USCIS offices for interview.

Now that you mention about NBC, our noa1 and Biometrics letter all came from NBC- does that mean were jnder the interview waiver class?? or its pretty uncleato assume ? Thanks

on Part 11 of i864 form titled Additional Information do I still need to type in my sponsor's name eventhough we're not using that part/page? or do we just simply leave it blank?

We got exactly the same RFE, just filled in the missing part on page 3 and sent it back. Rang them to ask is that what we were supposed to do but person on the phone just kept reading what the RFE said and I was kinda saying I know what it says as I have it here in front of me and can read it myself! Just let her ramble on until she was finished, said Thank you for all your assistance and put the phone down.

what do they mean on item 2 anyway talking about a joint sponsor even though we didn't have one?

the part that confused us was on item 2: they stated that we have sent an i864 from a joint sponsor and that the names on page 1 and page 3 didn't match wherein on our packet page 3 has no name written on it ??

They oulined two items that we needed to submit back to them.

Item 1: going back to our packet weve noticed that we indeed left part 4 blank lol ??

Item 2: we didn't include a co-sponsor as we didn't need one but they are asking us to send an i864 from a co-sponsor. So that's really confusing.

it doesn't say on the RFE letter that my spouses' income was insufficient. it just states that the name on page 1 and 3 are different even without passing a i864 for a co-sponsor. I' ll try to attach the pic again , wonder what happened the first time lol

how about on the interview checklist for the AOS is says that i693

is needed even though there were no RFE's sent regarding medical records on the process leading to the interview?

so: item 1: says that we passed an incomplete form, upon checking the photocopy of our packet we did missed out on that one lol ?? so i'm clear on that

item 2: asking us about an i864 from a co-sponsor, problem is we did'nt file for a co-sponsor since we didn't need one. I'm just a little confused on how shall we respond on that??
