It doesn't add up. so you cannot afford a nanny but could afford your in-laws living expense?

That's because my in-laws pay for their own expenses when they are here . And hiring a nanny is expensive lol

  2. So here's our situation , we just had a baby and she's  about 5 months old. Its only me and my wife who are here in the US( no other family members) I petitioned her on a K1 Visa and she now has a conditional green card and will be applying for ROC by early 2018.

We are thinking of allowing her parents to come in the US and stay with us so they can take care of the baby so both of us can work coz its  really hard if only one is working to support a family.

Her parents already entered the US with a tourist visa before once in our marriage and second time was on our daugthers' christening.

What if we just let her parents come here and overstay their tourist visa while were waiting for her to be a citizen?? ( about april 2019) and by then she can petition them without leaving the US. Will there be any problem in the process ?? I read somewhere that as long as they enter legally and had not had any crimes there's a huge chance of peition approval??

Thanks for all the inputs :)

  3. My parents plans to visit me here in the US using their tourist visa. They visited me once and stayed for 2 months.

My question is how long can they stay per visit? is it 6 months? if so, should we book a ticket with a return date of after 6 months?? Is that okay with CBP? And if they ask why would they stay for that long what's the best answer to answer??

    Thanks for all inputs.

What about utility bills?  You have a child what about medical bills?  You have a driver's license - Car insurance, Title of the vehicle, or Personal Property statements

Her mom pays for our electricity, for medical bills its covered by her insurance and for the car she can't add me to the title since its on finance and she had it before we got married. For car insurance , its under her moms insurance.

Just wanted to know if affidavits submitted with ROC needs to be notarized?

my name is not on the rental agreement for the apartment so i'm thinking of letting the apartment manager sign an affidavit stating that I lived there with my wife. Can we do this?

    Thank you.

as far as evidence for ROC we have:

    -joint tax returns

    - joint bank account and credit cards

    - Bank statements showing separate deposits of our individual salary on the same account

    - Used  checks with our name on it to pay for house rent

    - health insurance cards

-Health bill info with we as beneficiary and our son

    - Dental plans

-DL and letter showing same address

    - retirement plan showing me as a beneficiary and our son

    -birth certificate of our son

    - Colonial Disability  Plan with me as a beneficiary

    - Several pictures

    Question:

    - Phone Bills ( she also added me recently  but before that I was under her mom's plan, whay to do with this?)

Do we need will or Dpoa?

Answers are much appreciated . Thank you ?

They may ask the reason why you weren't indicated as his child, and may request a DNA test too.

If you're confident that any DNA test would indicate he is your father then go ahead.

I forgot to mention that on my birth certificate he is indicated as my father. But to be honest, I dont really care if it get's approved or not. I just want to do this so my relatives can't say anything bad about me.

I appreciate your input about the DNA test :)

  8. Hi,

Just want to know if ever i petition my dad will it get approved even if he didn't declare me as his daugther?

I was born when he and my mom was not married. Then he remarried and had a family with someone else. On all his legal papers he did not include me as one of his children. And has no evidence he supported me while I was growing up.

    Help pls.

    Thank you

  9. My rel'p with my father is not great but still I want to help him. So basically I was born when he and my mom was not yet married but on my birth certificate he's written down as my father. After years of being together they separated ,my mom went to the US, got married and became a US citizen while my dad stayed in the Phil and got married.  My mom eventually petitioned me to be with her here and now I'm a USC too.

Here's the crazy part, my dad visited me here 2 months ago and been staying with me. And he told me that his life in the Phil is  a nightmare . So he's asking if I can petition him.

    Question:

    Can I petition him?

    What are the forms?

Do i need like pictures to proved our rel'p as father/ child?

Thank you . I appreaciate the Help!

  10. The answer to your question is yes. And although I would agree with the guys not to drive in Manila unless you're going on a road trip (e.g. Manila to Subic, Manila to Baguio, or Manila to Batangas), I would give you some tips if you still decide to DIY. :-)

We have number coding in Metro Manila which means you cannot use your vehicle on the following days depending on the ending number on it's plate.

    Mon - 1&2

    Tues - 3&4

    Wed - 5&6

    Thurs - 7&8

    Fri - 9&0

In Makati (Downtown) we have what we call yellow boys, they would be waiting under a tree or any shady place with an eagle eye to catch the slightest violation they would see and either give you a ticket or ask for money. So if you're driving avoid Makati under any circumstance.

Other than that, practice defensive driving all the time. The jeepneys & UV vans will cut into your lane every chance they get. Private vehicles would change from one lane to another like it's a game. And most driver's don't use turn signals especially the buses. Avoid EDSA too if you can especially during rush hour or do not travel during rush hour at all. Enjoy the happy hour in your hotel's lounge. Waze "was" helpful when I was driving in Manila, I'm not sure if it still is.

Good luck! And I hope you enjoy your vacation.

Yeah, I heard about the coding lol

Thanks all for the tips and reminders. I'll keep them in mind. Godbless!

  11. We just got married on the 7th and her I-94 expires tomorrow. We've been waiting on getting married for everything so that we can apply with her new married now, but time is towards the end on this piece. What should we be looking at or expecting. We're still waiting on the Marriage license to get back to us since we've already mailed it out to the county. Just ready to take the next step and looking for advice. Thanks everyone.

I'm assuming your waiting for your marriage certificate?? if yes, then you can actually go to a county registrar near you and get one. And btw you can file for AOS even with expired i94. If no, then sorry I misunderstood your questions ???

  12. For those of you who had received RFE for some reason or another, how long did it take after 'RFE received' to change to 'ready for interview'? It is now 30 days since my RFE response for I-485 was received, and there has been no movement since.

we received RFE on march 03,2016, replied to rfe on 03-23-2016 , rfe response received by 03-28-2016 then i485 approved without interview on 04/20/2016 . ? goodluck on your journey! ?
