  1. Hello Everyone,

I got approved today at the Lagos Embassy. YAYYYYYYYYYY :dancing: .

I was asked about 4 questions and that was it.

The CO's grin was wider than mine.

Goodluck to everyone still awaiting interviews. All the best!

@OKUN i got approved. Thanks for all your prayers and assistance on this Forum. Its a life saver!

. I knew it. God is awesome. Big big congratulations. What questions were you asked.
  2. Hi Okun. Counting down. LOL :dancing: . Having sleepless nights already because i am starting to get nervous.

Had my medicals last week. To pick up results tomorrow. Did you have to see the doctor again when you went to pick up your results?

    1. What documents did they request from you at the interview?

    2. What questions were you asked?

    3. Where you asked for pictures?

At first I was nervous, but at a point, I came to realize that fear could kill a man before he is dead, so I thought less about it. You don't have to see the doctor again, just go with your passport, and the receipt given to you.

    1. I went with everything I could lay my hands on as a proof. The number you will be given at the waiting room is what will be used inside. All immigrants will go in together. Firstly, the following documents will be collected from you by some nigerians: passsport, 2 passport photos, birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate ( I think all original docs).

    2. Your number will be called to any of the windows. Just be calm and relaxed and be audible. Questions I was asked: 1. Who is inviting you to the US? 2. What year did you marry? 3. When did you first see each other? 4. What year did she go to america? After which I was handed 2 forms, one was collection of issued visa and the other was paying of gc fee. At the window, the guy didn't ask me for anything other than what I had already submitted. He then handed me my original docs and said after the payment of the gc fee, you can then travel to America. At that point, I realized what a great killer fear is. Realistically, my interview was not upto ONE MINUTE. Go with enough courage and don't look too desperate. Just be calm and relaxed. You are already approved. Goodluck

  3. It tells you right on the status what it means. Your interview was just 3 days ago. It means what it says The embassy has issued your Visa to the Visa center. Meaning your passport has left the embassy and is being processed to insert Visa.

Did they not tell you to pick up in 14 days? In 14 days (sometimes sooner) call Visa center if you can even get through and pick up.

Please be patient go there in 14 days from interview for you that's the 22nd and pick up.

. Thanks alot, I really appreciate the clarification.
  4. APPROVED!!!!

Got to the embassy 6:30am, was out 10.00am. Interview was less than 2mins, and only 4 questions asked.

    1. Who is inviting you to US?

    2. How long did you first see each other?

    3. What year did you marry?

    4. When did she travel to America?

After answering all the questions, he handed me 2 white sheets, saying I should pick up the visa in a circled location in 2wks time, and the other saying I should pay my green card fee after which I can then travel to the US. It wasn't as tenzed as I thought it would be.

Thanks to all of you for your help and support. This forum is really a good preparer.

  5. I'm at the Guyanese consulate so your embassy may have a different policy. My letter gave me a link to go to to read up on my interview preparation at my consulate and when I did that the instruction to register my interview was at the top in red. If your interview preparation info doesn't say to do that then it doesn't apply to you. Different embassies different policies :) Good luck with your interview!

@BeckyMaria, mine is lagos embassy. Thanks for clearing me up
