Sorry but I have to make this all about me. Just checked Status and it says ISSUED (the Visa has been printed) even though we know it hasn't. But now when we go back to Lagos next week to send me off we can pick up and I can leave Nigeria relieved and ready (So much to do). :dance:

Okay back to our regular scheduled programming. Man we are on page 59 on the 15rh day. We are chatty people here. hehe Love it. Debbie is a happy wife. I am telling you.

He received the Birth Certificate back at the interview. I'll have to double check on the marriage certificate.

Mrsgbovo what number did you call? I called (011 234) 1 440 6218 and after answering the prompts I got through to someone. I was told that the embassy would email us once the visa is ready for pickup. Have you or your husband received an email?

The embassy called my husband today. The woman forgot to collect a copy of his birth certificate during the interview so he emailed a copy over to them. So we're going to wait a little longer assuming this may cause a delay. ooh woooow!!! Guess I've been calling the wrong NUMBER. No email yet.. Will call this number(14406218) tomorrow. Thanks JASM. Dont think the birth certificate Wil delay the pickup date..just keep calling for update

Just got out of our interview and i got approved!!!! Gonna write a lengthy review later.

Hey Dwheels,

My husband traveled back to Abuja on Saturday so he wasn't able to stop by the collection center. But I called the Visa Center yesterday and was told that even though the status says issued we should wait for an email from the embassy confirming that the visa is ready before going to pick it up. We haven't received the email, but my mother in law is traveling to Lagos tomorrow, so she will check and pick it up if it's ready. I'll definitely let you know.

I pray that your husband feels better very very soon. All this stress and anticipation before the interview must have worn him down a bit. We will surely miss you on here tomorrow , but journey mercies to you both and I can't wait to hear the good news on Thursday!!

hey all my wife interview was this morning at 8:30 am and she got approval,i was there with her they ask her about six question & me three also ask for the 2015 tax form 1040 & W-2 told us to pick up the visa on the 3rd may and I ask if we could get it at a. early day and the co lady say yes come on the 28th of april at 2pm to pick up the visa I post a review at my wife country porta later ,so thank everyone for all infro on our journey especially Dwheel thank you & looking forward to your approval.

Our status changed to Issued today. Is that normal since the interview was just yesterday..? Either way since the embassy gave us a timeframe of 2 weeks to pick up the visa we have decided to adhere to that.

@JASM I know how you feel... Trust me, I do. This was how I felt last week Wednesday.. It has been approved in HEAVEN..so just relax ok..as for the K1 visa, i think that shouldn't be a problem rather a PLUS..saw same question somewhere(nairaland forum)asked by one of the members and the VO replied same as above....except if that's not the only reason he was denied. Secondly, hope he said YES and explain why on his DS-260?. My husband was also denied a visa in 2014.. Though he was ask at his interview but really wasn't a big deal..GOOD LUCK to you and your husband ..

Update: after my husband interview yesterday.... Checked CEAC. It changed from READY to ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING... Still desame today but with today's DATE..not worried though..LOL.. Cause I know it's suppose to from RD-AP-RD-ISSUED...?

So sorry for the late review post... Just got home from work not too long..... Like I said earlier my Hubbi was approved today.. @Loveinghana and shsl74 thanks... Dis how it went: after he went through the screening to giving them the original documents.. Few minute late he number popped up at a window...went to the window. It was a male VO.. Vo took his finger print and oath.... VO: who file for you ?, when,where and how we met?, who was present at our wedding?... Who took your wife to The U.S?... What year did ur wife left for U.S?... How and when did you propose to her?.... How many times has your wife visited you with your child?.... How old is your child?.... What year did your wife got pregnant with your child?.... What does your wife do?.... Dos you have your child birth certificate?,... How do you communicate?..... Apart from calling what other to you communicate? Hubbi: said yes through imo, what's app, viber, Skype e.t.c... Trust me VJ family we were really ready and every he asked my husband had and gave him.. All thanks to my beloved VJ family for equipping us with enough info... So the VO asked my husband to give give him the what's app chat.. He flipped through and said to my husband " do you need this what's app chat printout because will like to add to you file" and husband answered "no. You can keep it". I think,That right there gave us the approval....lol.. Because immediately after my Hubbi said that, the VO brought out 2 white slip (one for visa pickup add and the other was gree card payment.. VO collected his Facebook info. and ask him if uhe has any question.. All GLORY TO GOD... Thank you all for you support

@JASM my Hubbi & I barely use Facebook... The last time we used fb massager was in 2012....lol. The VO also kept our what's app chat.. Which its fine by us because we have not to hide..

@JASM NO he did not.. It was after the interview, the VO ask him for it... I think it's a new thing they started doing maybe not to everybody though and also depend on the VO..before our, Recently when I was going through Nigeria embassy review here(VJ family) notice some of them were asked.

GLORY to GOD... My husband had his interview today at US consulate Lagos and he was APPROVED... Was told to pickup his VISA in 15days..Will write review later... NOTE: VO Collected his FACEBOOK info..
