Those who are LIN, I just checked USCIS processing times.  It looks like there is a long wait for us!

    Wow! That's a long time.

I found a page that someone posted on another group for all LIN filers. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Buo_drIy4zaCFZUULdT_L9JrA6YZgrVtt7Cj6nUsvv0/edit#gid=0

Seems like the average for them has been 9-10 months for approval. And September filers are just now getting their biometrics appointments. Hopefully we luck out with a shorter wait than that but it helps see the processing times in Nebraska. For now we can just expect to have our appointments somewhere in February next year.

  2. Hi!

We are so happy we had our interview last Thursday and got approved! Now we are waiting for the Visa, hopefully it was sent that same day or Friday since they are in holiday this Monday. The interview went so smooth, I waited for about 2 hours and it´s line after line. Once I got to the actual "interview", they asked me the name of my fiancé and that was it. I said that I had some photos but he said they were not necessary, that everything was ok and he approved the Visa. I thought it was going to be more complicated or that they were going to be a little too harsh with a same sex couple, but nothing like it.

We can´t wait to be back together.

Good luck to everyone waiting for their interviews!

  3. Hi! I'm really excited this is moving forward, from our noa2 to get our nvc case it took exactly one month and soon after the status changed to ready so it was received at Juarez. It's been almost 2 weeks so we prepared out documents and are waiting for the letter from the consulate.

My fiancé got a letter from nvc and somewhere I read that we can schedule the interview with that one. Should I wait for my letter to arrive or should I start calling medical and trying to schedule an interview as well as CAS and Juarez interview?

Thanks for everyone's help, you've been great guys! :-)

  4. Hi!

My fiancé is getting all the evidence for the i145 form. He bought his business partner to become a sole owner last October. It was a big investment so his last year´s income tax return is below the poverty guidelines, however his bank statements this year are showing that he is doing pretty good with his business. He wrote a letter detailing the investment, as well as a projection for this year´s earning. He also has documentations that proves how much the business has done in the last years. Would the income tax return, the letter, the bank statements and the business records would be alright or should we get a co-sponsor?

I would really appreciate your help if someone know´s the answer or something that might help us know what to do. Thanks so much and congratulations to all the approvals.

  5. We got our NOA 2 a week ago, this Monday it came on the mail and we were so excited when looking at the actual letter.

We are waiting for the NVC case number, we´ve read it´s usually 2-3 weeks. We want to get ahead in the meantime to get all the documents for the interview to speed things up a little bit. We are gathering the form i-134, proof of support and all that. What documents do they usually ask for? We want to be prepared with everything they might need so we can book an interview once we receive the letter from the interview. We are also getting ahead booking medical once we have our cade number.

Thanks for your support and good luck to everyone :-)

  7. I'm glad to report back we got APPROVED!

We took a little heat at the Juarez consulate but I think it was a combination of the officer she got and the fact my fiancée has 2 boys... but when you have nothing to hide, there shouldn't be a problem.

    Love wins!

Case status updated on Thursday to Visas Issued!! They should arrive next week and she'll be in Cali with me for Memorial Day Weekend!!

    Congratulations :-)

  8. Hi!

    We are getting really worried.

    To be brief:

    Dec28 we sent our I-129

Jan02 papers mailed back to correct info and sent back Jan04

Feb08 we called immigration because we started worrying about the check not being cashed and they said that we forgot to sign it and they forgot to let us know

    Feb10 we signed the check

Feb18 we were notified that we needed a document translated

Feb23 we sent the translations back

It´s been two weeks and still the check has not been cashed and we don´t have NOA1

Has this ever happened to someone else before?

Do they normally ask to correct info before NOA1? I thought that was like a RFE between NOA1 and NOA2.

What we are worried about is that it´s been almost 3 months and we still don´t have NOA1. This means our visa process has not yet started?

Should we keep waiting or just ask for our documents back and apply again?

  9. Hi!

My fiancé and I sent our I-129 form the 28th of December and we´ve had so much trouble. Hopefully we are good to go now.

Jan 2 we were mailed our form back because we needed to correct some info, so we sent it again the 4th.

Feb 8 we called USCIS because our check was´t cashed and we still did not have our NOA1. They said that they tried cashing the check but Eric forgot to sign it and they forgot to let us know so we lost a month here. Feb 9 Eric went to sign the check but they were not ready and had him come back Feb 10 to sign it.

Feb 18 we were contacted because there was some documents that needed to be translated. We had them translated right away and mailed them Feb 22. Hopefully we get our NOA1 this week. They said that it was a matter of just sending the missing translations because everything else was in order and ready to go.

We´ve seen that it doesn't take a while and hopefully we get sent to California since it´s apparently faster.

We would consider late February as our date for applying since we had so many things to correct. We'll wait along everyone with the same timeline to make this wait more bearable being informed and surrounded by similar cases and timelines. :-)
