Our case was approved

They are just asking for more evidence. I have plenty that I am going to give them. It just doesn't specify on the paper they sent me on whether or not I need to send in more money or another i130. Im guessing I just need to send evidence with a case number but I want to just make sure. Tomorrow is when im getting everything together so id love if someone could help a brother out

Unfortunately today I got an RFE. I had pretty much sent nearly everything I had at the time. I have some western union slips and additional call logs now but not much else new. I suppose I can send more of our wedding photos. Will they accept video or even a thumb drive with files? I am hoping that my one and only trip there isnt going to be an issue. How do I go about recompiling this evidence for them? Im assuming I dont have to re file the i-130 all together and that they are keeping the evidence I sent safe somewhere.

Just wanted to give a small update. As you know I sent in my I-130 and received my form I-797 on the first week of January. I havent heard a thing since. They have yet to update anything on my case on the uscis website. I am assuming this is the normal wait time for this?
-
I have received the email today and the case has been accepted They have mailed out the I-797. What would be the next step I need to take?

Alright. I haven't heard of the DS-260 before. When is that done?

I have one more question. My wife's father is deceased and so in the space that asks current resident accidentally left it blank. What can I do?
-
Thank you. I have just sent the I-130 and G325A out. Will let you guys know how it goes.
-
Well the thing is that Melanie has already gone out and officially changed her last name to my last name. So her maiden name is no longer her official last name. So I am not sure if I need to re fill out these forms as her maiden name is used in both the i130/g325a.
-
Sorry I tried editing my first post. I have two questions regarding my wifes name on both forms I-130 and G-325A. I have used her maiden name on both forms. Will this work? Or am I going to have to redo the forms and write her name using my last name. Having to redo the G-325A would not be good since they need her to sign the form.

I have yet another question because I am so ####### and dont want to mess this up. I have seen multiple example pages and they show it being written in both ways although I think I likely messed up.. In the I130 page where I fill out her name, I put her maiden name for family name instead of my last name. I also did this on the G325a. Should I have put my last name for her now that we are married or would her maiden name be acceptable? Thank you.

sorry didn't need your question fully. I selected other and did in support of i130. Did you send it already?
No. I have the "status of perminant resident" checked off. If I check off other and write in support of the i130 , will that work or will it confuse them lol
-
I have a quick question.. At the bottom of the G-325A form do I check off "Status as Permanent Resident" or "Other" and write in "in support of spouses I-130. I checked off the status as permanent resident and realized I may have made a mistake.

Sounds great guys. Thank you!! Well I have the copy of the marriage cert and it doesnt hurt to send extra evidence.

Okay so I got the photocopy of my marriage certificate today in the mail. I am going to send that in as well as copies of a couple airplane ticket stubs, photos of our skype call history and a couple photos of us at our wedding. I think that should suffice as proof of a bonified marriage. Is there a preferred place to send the i130 and both of our g325a's? And what do I have to do to get her daughter here as well?
-
Her daughter would arrive as an LPR just like your wife. I suggest filing for them at the same time so they can interview and travel together. There is zero reason that your step-daughter needs to wait.
Okay good. I wasnt sure if my wife needed to be a citizen first. I am going to have to look up what I need to file into first.
-
Right now she is waiting to receive our marriage certificate from her NSO. So once she gets that (hopefully within a couple of weeks) she is going to send it to me so I can get this whole thing started. Also does anyone know if I have to wait for my wife to arrive to try to get her daughter here as a citizen?

I am curious, How many of you have been able to get a tourist visa for your wife while she was waiting for her green card? Of course waiting for about a year for her is going to be extremely tough and I wasnt sure if any sort of visitation to the states before her green card being issued was possible? Thank you! And just wanted to let you guys know that today was the day of our wedding. Most amazing and emotional day of my life.
-
I will use a photocopy of the marriage cert and wedding photos as evidence for the bonified marriage. I should be okay with that. Everything else about the forms and whatnot seem very straight forward so far.

I have read the guides. If it was that easy forums would be pointless. It helps to get details from peoples personal experiences which is why I made the post. It helps easy any anxiety and helps with knowing the specific steps others have taken and what the results were. For me this isnt as black and white as it might be for other people.
Also I dont think I need a naturalization cert since I was born here.
I appreciate any responses I get guys and gals. I dont want to mess anything up!

Thank you Mike and Mrs FC! I appreciate the kind words and advice.

Or would a photo copy of our marriage certificate work for the "relevant documentation"?
-
"5.
Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or 6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union."My best friend is here for this trip. Would he be able to make an affidavit for this? And would other relevant documentation be marriage photos?

So this is my last week here in the Philippines and man has it been one amazing and eye opening trip for me. I loved every moment of this trip but now am starting to feel the emotions of leaving my wife here for these months that I will be processing the papers to get her home with me. I created this post to document my particular process as well as to have a place for any questions that may arise although these guides do a good job explaining what needs to be done.
So once I get home this weekend I will immediately be starting my i-130. I understand that with this i-130 I also must fill out a G-325A. It says here that I also must have my wife fill one out as well? So should I just print hers out right now while I am in the PH, have her fill it out so I have it with me already when I am back in the states?
Also for the proof of the bonified marriage is the marriage cert not good enough?
A couple questions about Interview documents
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Hey all, so fortunately for the wife and I her interview date is on February 13th and while looking at the checklist for the documents I saw it says that she will need to bring a filled out I864 with her. Now my questions are these: Since my father is a joint sponsor is he also going to need to fill out both the 864 and 864A as well as including his taxes again? Or can we simply just fill out the forms and send them to her? Of course I did not save the ones I did before so I have to do them over again.
