Its status have been updated since Yesterday but i am not sure if we have to schedule for appointment or embassy will call and schedule for interview.

This is what i got in email. The last part is more confusing

"The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in ISLAMABAD, PKST approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in ISLAMABAD, PKST for their action. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview."

    Hi there,

were you contacted by embassy or you scheduled online?

    Thanks!

My email, my husband (personal & work) and my lawyer emails are on system. Plenty interaction with NVC during one year trying to get his Welcome Letter.

Our case was manual/paper filling so my CEAC only shows status. We received an email from NVC on January (when we got DQ) and we all were there (husband, lawyer & me, they even updated my husband work email)

I read on some FB groups that many applicants received this email and their DQ dates ranged between May 2019 and November 2020. Also somebody claimed that he called NVC and they told him it was just a reminder that their cases where in line for interview, kind a "thank for your patience, we are back online"

I believe we didn't receive that email because we don't have 60 days since becoming DQ. So it may come soon.

Ciudad Juarez consulate posted in their website:

Individuals Previously Subject to Presidential Proclamation 10014:

If your March or April 2020 appointment for a visa interview in the IR-5, family preference (F), or employment preference (E) classifications was canceled, the Consulate will contact you, at the contact information on file, with a new appointment date.

NVC scheduling for these classifications will resume after all previously cancelled appointments have been rescheduled.

Consulate capacity and available appointments remain limited by the pandemic.  We have begun rescheduling interviews for applicants in classifications previously impacted by the Presidential Proclamation who had an appointment cancelled in March or April 2020.  In addition, consular officers have begun adjudicating the cases of applicants who were previously interviewed but who were refused due to the Proclamations. We will send you a letter by DHL with further instructions once your case has been reviewed.

So I am not expecting any movement there until all canceled interviews are done. Then I may try my luck with an expedite (somebody in other post got an expedite for a delay between USCIS-NVC which is my case). I guess he will get interview in one year, based on the current processing month for LPRs (Oct-Nov 2019)

Is this current processing for mexico?

    Oct Nov 2019?

I am from Pakistan DQ Jan 2020 maybe 2 3 months more?

Based on some feedback from people filing in Mexico and UAE, they just restarted scheduling (for March) normal interviews for IR/CR-1 and IR/CR-2. However, relatives of LPR, investment or employment based petitions still on hold. I guess things are gonna start to move when proclamations 10014 and 10052 expires in March 31st (or get cancelled before, which I doubt)

Even if pp10014 and 10052 are lifted there will be no interviews for some time they will start sending IL that means maybe after one month if the ban is lifted.

Husband is still waiting on a new interview date his was March 2020 has anyone heard anything new since Biden took office. Was hoping to get a new date by now.

Are you part of any lawsuits? Like jacobVbiden?

if not you have to wait till the ban is lifted and it does not look like the ban is going anywhere but extended again in the name of covid and job security..

@PalRish I stand corrected, @HlyEK post just now seem to confirm that the USCIS is indeed still processing and approving F2A I-130's despite Trump's ban.

Based on @SusieQQQ's post here it sounds like USCIS and NVC are continuing to process the petitions and once they get to the consulate, the consulate will withhold issuing visas till the ban expires. So that's very good news. I feel so relieved to hear that as the application is only stuck on the last step.

I am waiting for the interview too since feb march 2020

Trump already said he's going to extend it. So all F2A petitioners will have to wait until after the November elections to boot this President for this to be lifted. Honestly, our family members are "probably" better off right now where they currently resides.

Its been almost 3 years already in Que.

Even if they open up.. seems like it will be half the speed they were before.

You know embassies have been closed since around mid March and no reopening date is yet set? They won’t schedule interviews until they are open, and even then probably not for your case until It is clear the EO banning such visas won’t be extended.

Correct the embassies are closed, but i don't think the EO effected the spouse visa for Green card holder and Citizen.

in my case i am a green card holder and applied for my wife in Nov 2017.

  9. Email received waiting for INTERVIEW LETTER (4+ MONTHS)

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.

NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in ISLAMABAD, PKST to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable).

    Anyone got interview letter?
    How long will it take?
