  1. If they’re reviewing your denied case, will it update on CEAC or will it still say refused on x-x-2018? I have a family members whose case was refused in march, and were trying to figure out if she’s eligible for a waiver. Any idea how to go about doing so? the email that’s on the case is another person who was helping them before but we haven’t been able to get in touch with him so we don’t know if she has been sent the email or not.

her US citizen spouse is sponsoring her and her 2 kids have US passports but her visa was refused still.

Ya, i have plenty of family members here who are with her. If she was good she would have gotten them out a long time ago. She is mainly about the money but it doesn't hurt to here what she's got to say.

Hey, can you tell me more about julie? I have a family member who met with her and she said it's going to cost 7,500 to help them and that she'll apply for a waiver for them and if it doesn't work, she'll go to court in the US for their case.

Does anyone know anything about the embassy asking for proof of relationship between the co-sponsor and beneficiary?

Hello, yes, co-sponsor who are filling out the I-864A have to submit evidence of how they're related. ex; if a parent is your co-sponsor, you can submit birth certificate that has your name on their name on it.

but if the person doing the co-sponsorship isn't related to you or does not live in the same household as you, then they fill out the I-864 and i believe the don't have to submit evidence (i maybe incorrect though).

My husband was issued his visa today since May 2. The date started changing around the week of the approval. May you all succeed. ان شاء الله

Hey! My husband had his interview on Sunday and they updated his case on that day and then again today, were there many updates on the CEAC site when you were waiting for your husband's case or did they start doing updates when they were getting ready to issue his visa? Also, how long after the updates did they issue it to you? And about how many updates did they make?

The only way they issue the visa is in the passport. That tells me that they aren't gonna issue him his visa any time soon but honestly it's just a waiting game now and you're almost at the finish line. They will call you guys back to take his passport and they will stamp it. Insha'Allah it's not too long. Hang in there sis, you are literally at the last step.

Yes, I thought so too but my husband spoke with the other people who were going through the interview with him and the security guards too and they told him that for people with Somalia passport's, they don't put the visa on the passport, they put it on a document of some sort, so they'll be calling him to pick up the package with the documents plus the visa (which I assume will be a seperate document)

It makes sense because even though I went through the same process when I was younger, my mom said the same thing. They let her keep her passport and they gave her a seperate visa and package to take. (Back in 2002)

That sounds fine. They say to travel to Djibouti two weeks before the interview to take the medical exam early. It's good to arrive there just in case since it's crowded. As long as you take the medical exam before the interview and attend the interview, everything should be fine. The requirement to arrive two weeks before is just so you can complete the medical exam before the interview date.

Hello, my husband did his interview and they told him he has been approved but they didn't take his passport? Is that weird??

Oh, I figured since the beginning of the petition that when they update the case that they will give us news. We thought we would be approved after 45 days and then 60 days. Since May 2, the case last updated date changed to May 3 and never changed until around June 30. I thought maybe they will issue the visa if the date is updated continuously, and it turned out to be true. During the holidays Eid and 4th of July, the case wasn't updated and the date didn't change because the embassy wasn't open.

was your case expedited and how long did it take for them to schedule your interview and give you the visa?
