  1. Hamza fmly,

Its simple all i did was to develop a timeline of my own with information giving by individuals here and a pattern will be notice... eg folks that receive

WL in may2015 had PD in Sept04>> receive IL in july month

WLin june 2015 had Pd in Oct, Nov & Dec 04>> receive IL in Aug month

WL in july 2015 had for Jan, Feb 05>> receive Il in sept/ Oct /Nov month

WL in Aug, Sept 2015 had for March 05>>//// will receive IL in Dec/Jan month

no more welcome letter was sent out until Jan 2016 for all those PD in april-july 05

after this period they only sent welcome letter for 21 more days for those with PD Aug 05

NB: this info is not cast in stone its my opinion, In my view its a general idea how things are going I can be wrong but i am sticking to this platform and I can guarantee there will be no more visa after April 2017.

so when do you think the ones with PD April-july 2005 will get IL ?

  2. Hello- my priority date is April 15 2005- if anyone in the same it would be good to keep in touch

Also- does anyone who is already current- can advise, what exactly happens when the date goes 'current'- do we then get to arrange the interview at the embassy or is there another long wait?

    thanks

    my case is in LONDON

The NVC will schedule an interview for you in london, you'll have time to do the medical examinations before the interview date. Your wait is almost over :)

  3. In this post I'm going to go through our interview experience. One thing I cannot stress enough is to follow ALL instructions as provided by both the NVC and the Embassy/Consulate as it will make YOUR life easier. Our son turned 21 last year and was to be determined under the CSPA rule, however, he was not listed on our IL so we had the added stress of not knowing whether he would be allowed to the interview.

We arrived at the Consulate at approximately 7:40am (our interview was scheduled for 8:30am) and there were approximately 15 people already in the line. The security guard at the door was letting in a few people at a time. The 2 individuals who were in line in front of us and were not together were both turned away by the security guard as they had large backpacks and mobile phones and electronics devices.

At around 7:55am, we entered the building and were directed to a security person who had a handheld device.I produced both the courier registration letter and the IL and she checked the names on her device. Our son was listed to our relief and I pointed out to her that he was under CSPA review and that he was not listed on the IL. We were asked for all passports, on the back of which a label was placed. She handed us a card with instructions and a number on top (#3) to our relief. We were told to go to the 19th floor and sit in the section marked Immigration Visa.

We proceeded up the short staircase and after entering through the door, went through airport style security. We were told to go down the stairs and take the elevator. When we exited the elevator there was no one waiting in the IV section and we were directed directly to one of the many windows for the processing of the paperwork.

We arrived at the window at around 8:02am and the lady processing the paperwork specified the order in which she wanted the documents passing to her. She asked how many of us there were and we explained there were five. She only had four listed. We explained the situation regarding CSPA for our son. She went inside and came back with another person, who wanted to know about our CSPA and whether NVC were dealing with it and whether an application had been submitted and fees had been paid.

We explained that the file had been passed to the Consulate for them to process. He wanted to know if our son's medical had been done and we said yes. He was extremely upset that this had been done by the doctor without written instructions from the NVC as it could have cost us $300 if our son was not eligible under CSPA. He went off to do the calculation while the lady continued to process our paperwork. She took everybody's fingerprints as she was processing each person with the exception of our son.

By the time she had finished processing four of us, the CSPA calculation had been completed and she began processing our son's paperwork and fingerprints. It was 8:50 am when all the paperwork processing was completed and we were instructed to go back and sit in the IV section in the waiting area to be called for the interview.

At around 9:45am, we were called to a different booth and the CO asked us to take an oath and then asked us some questions. My wife was asked about the relationship to the petitioner. We were asked about where we had lived and how long we had been married. He asked both my sons whether they were or had ever been married. After reviewing the paperwork, he explained what documents we needed to provide and returned our passports to us, to be returned when we have the documents to have the visas issued. We were out of the embassy two and a half hours after we had arrived.

Overall, it was a relatively painless process. The biggest relief was getting the CSPA issue out of the way. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions anyone may have and I'll try and provide some tips in another post if I remember.

    EOT

Thanku EOT for sharing your experience !! Your post is definitely helpful to me, however I am worried about the fact that you need an I-864A for your Aunt, since my Joint sponsor is also my aunt's husband. What do you think I should do ? And how long did the interview take ?

  4. Hello Friend,

The Primary Applicant with local residence address has to send a wriiten request letter to NVC, to review your (beneficiary) son/daughter's case cunder CSPA.

You may send this letter now so that when your PD becomes current, the NVC could exercise CSPA review (the beneficiaries CSPA calculation age should be (=<) 21 years).

You need to have follow-up with NVC after 10-12 working days to confirm whether they have received your request or not.

You may even send the CSPA review request through online public inquiry.

I will write that letter. Thank for your help

  5. Right now there is nothing you can do. Speak to NVC and find out if they have done a preliminary CSPA review and if your child has been removed from your application or if they are going to do the CSPA review when your pd becomes current. As soon as your pd becomes current make sure that you contact the embassy anyway and make them aware of the CSPA review.

In our case they performed a preliminary review and removed our son from our application without telling us. When our pd became current they did not mention our son and we only just found out after several phone calls that we have to request a CSPA review.

The embassy here in Beirut are not that helpful, especially on the phone, and it seems that the NVC might delay our case for months in order to do the CSPA review. This process is turning out to be more complicated than i thought. Anyways, I hope that your issue gets solved without any further complications, so you could all take the visas without anymore delays :)

  6. Speaking from my personal experience it does add a slight delay. From my understanding the application of the person under CSPA review will be processed separately. My eldest son turned 21 just before our paperwork was processsed. It was sent for CSPA review which we were told should have been done within 30 days, which it wasn't. It was then escalated by a supervisor automatically and we were told his application would be processed when a visa became available. We never received a case complete notification, however, when my wife spoke to NVC (either January or February) she was told our case was complete. Now we're just waiting for visas to be come available.

If you call NVC they will tell you that they cannot give you a timeframe for CSPA review. No one really knows how long CSPA review really takes. My son doesn't finish university for another year so it isn't that big of an issue for us right now. When you speak to NVC you can get different answers from different agents because even they don't seem really sure. As long as your child qualifies under CSPA review, then a visa will be available for them as part of the original visa application which means that they don't have to start the process all over again.

Thanku for your time, that was really helpful :)
