  1. Queue? Montreal? 🤔🤔 Thanks, this will be a bit of a rush for us. I think we will have to bite the bullet on those new fees .... 😭
  2. Hello everyone I am a US citizen and have been in a relationship with a foreign citizen for over a year. My partner managed to get a work visa (TN) and has been in the US for a bit. We are thinking about getting married and adjusting to our status. A few info points: - I have solid job and education credentials, as does my partner (white collar jobs), who has a solid financial situation. No fool play whatsoever. - We know our families and friends very well and plan to attend weddings together, so we have evidence to show. We have tons of photos and communications. After reading for a bit, we settled on the following approach: - Get married - Open joint bank accounts. add partner to work insurance, add them beneficiary for 401k, and add to family cell plan. All of that for evidence. - Apply for i-485, AP, EAD, all together in one go - Wait ......... and wait till EAD/AP comes Any gaps in this approach? The only disadvantage of waiting is paying extra after April 1st, but water under the bridge One question about AP. If we file the above forms, can we travel for a week abroad while applications make their way to the processing center, or do we have to stay put once we send them? Thanks a lot
