Gotta be in color. That was probably my fiancée''s review. Personally, I printed everything in color because it looks more professional and it's one less thing for someone to to say something about... But the DS-160 should be in color.

Fiance had her interview in Montreal today. Got approved!! Woot! I'll be flying to Buffalo at the end of August and we'll be driving down to San Diego with all her junk. Not looking forward to the long drive but definitely will be a good first (long) road trip together and the start of our second leg of this journey... Thanks for all the help.

Fiancée has medical on the 31st in Toronto. She's coming to visit mid June for a couple of weeks so we scheduled the interview for 13 July. She'll be living here end of August after her friend's wedding. Almost there!

Oh, I already sent it! I'm just waiting to hear back for Packet 4. It's just that they haven't said anything so we're still on the Packet 3 part. I haven't heard anything back at all, minus the automated stuff.

We're still waiting to hear back from Montreal for our packet 3 (which we need to get packet 4.. so I can schedule the interview). Also waiting to hear back about their mistake for my name! I feel like this is where it'll get more frustrating. I just want to be able to get an interview date and not stress out about Montreal not having any openings up in the next couple of months. And maybe perhaps be able to stop freaking out about them mixing up my name, that'd be nice.

You don't have to wait to send that. Once they receive your petition you can send packet 3. I sent mine the day they received it and was able to book my appointment the next day. I can't book yet because they have no dates open in July, which is when we want to book but still....

Haha no she needs to be there for her friend, I'm sure after being together that month waiting is fine.

Good that you can see each others that much! We are lucky too have see each other every 2 1/2 months. I feel for those who have to wait 6+ months to see each other must be extremely hard.

Thanks G. The waiting isn't that big of a deal for us because she flies here every other month for a minimum of a week. She just left yesterday actually, haha. And the August thing is something we can't avoid because her best friend is getting married and she's in the wedding. We know we won't get AP in time even if we took the next available interview date (at least not worth the risk just in case), which is next Wednesday. It does suck to see that on the screen and know we can't grab it though! Haha... I told her to tell her friend to just get married in Vegas since she's the only thing that's holding this up haha. Obviously not gonna happen... I'll see her again in June though and then she'll be living here in August.

Quick update... Visa got to the Embassy yesterday so we immediately sent packet 3. We filled it out a while ago in anticipation of this. Glad we did because this morning I received an email saying we were ready to book our interview. We paid our fee ($265usd) but unfortunately can't book right now. The appointment dates only go out until the end of June and since my fiancee is visiting me for 2 weeks in June until the 30th, that obviously wouldn't work. She'd have to stay here and our plan isn't for her to move here until late August... So, we'll schedule the interview in a week or two so we can get the beginning of July, hopefully...

I called earlier today and they hadn't received our case number yet! I'm debating calling again tonight or just calling tomorrow. Also yay for another Montreal person! I hope everything goes well!

Well, I guess it would depend. I called yesterday and was told that they received my case but no case number yet. I figured it would have one the next day because everyone else on here had theirs at NVC no more than about 3 days. So I called and got the number. Assuming it'll be out tomorrow. I figure once it hits NVC, it's about a 3 day turn around... But that's just going off of the timelines here, of course. Still about a week until it hits the embassy.

Quick update. Our petition got to NVC yesterday. Called again today and got our case number. Looking at the trends, I'd assume our case will be on its way to Montreal today or tomorrow and arrive within a week. Almost at the finish line!

Been about a week since I've been on here but CONGRATS to all that have recently received your NOA2s! Those still waiting, just be patient... With everything going to California now, it's not quite as fast as it once was. But, fortunately, it still isn't that slow... It was about 52ish days average before I filed and now it seems to be running around early 60s. So it's happening. Those of you with RFEs for the whole internet thing (or worried about it), my fiancée and I met online about 12 years ago on a chat site that doesn't even exist anymore. I simply went on Wikipedia and printed off their spiel about the website. All 10 pages haha... It worked out for us. If your website does still exist then print of their Terms Of Service. Usually a link at the bottom of the home page. Every site has one. As long as it isn't a marriage brokerage site then you'll be good. Good luck everyone!

I feel like I just need to turn off my email notifications because it's just sending me things like this... This place is for helping each other out and supporting each other; but you and a couple others use it as a place to just get others to do the work for you. Are you kidding me man?! You ask questions that are EASILY found and are right at the top of the forum pages! K-1 Guide, Flowchart, Process, etc are ALL PINNED at the top of the K-1 process page! DO YOUR RESEARCH! If you really care and really want to be successful in your application process then take a minute to read the readily available info that others before us have taken the time to post up for us. Your last post basically just says,"Hey Georgia, can you do some more work for me because I'd rather just be told instead of looking for myself."

This sounds harsh but it isn't and you really need to think about it. There are tons of weird one off questions that can be asked because they're one off situations, but asking about the general process is ridiculous and lazy.
