about the 30 days prior see below:

    Alright y'all.

    InfoPass was unsuccessful.

Because my Green Card expires on 1/27/19 they said I have to come back when the Green Card has less than 30 days validity and they will stamp my passport. The officer was nice and he double checked with his supervisor.

I asked them if they can check if NOA 1 was issued and mailed and they said, it was issued on the November 2, 2018 and then he said IF THE NOTICE WAS MAILED YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED IT BY NOW. So he didn't know for sure if it was mailed or not.  He double checked again the address and he said that everything looks okay.  LOL- I was about to say I know for a fact that it was not mailed out.

So we are at their mercy.

Hi! I see you are also Ukrainian. That’s nice. So my question is - can I just schedule myself an appointment and get that info pass stamp? How much does it cost and can I travel overseas with it right?

Did they send it back because you mailed it 2 days too early or because the filing date on I-751 form was 2 days too early.

If you do not have the extension letter by 30 days before your trip back home than make an infopass appointment to get your passport stamped.

Really ? Where can I do that? Never heard about that.

  3. Hey guys! I have a question. I don’t know if I’m writing in a right topic but we’ve applied for  I751 - got it back because we’ve sent it two days earlier than 90 days!!Anyways we’ve applied again and everything was fine. I’ve received that my fingerprints fee was received- wait for a letter via mail with further instructions. And still don’t have it. It’s been 3 weeks already. How long does it usual take to get it? Also my next question. Do they sent you a notice with which you can fly overseas while you are waiting for your next green card? Has anyone traveled while waiting? I really want to visit home this spring and have doubts that I’ll get my green card by that time

Surprising to see you write that "I know."  That would indicate you  know them personally.  Is that really true . . . or do you mean that you have only heard of several instances?  And just where did you 'hear' of these instances?  Do you think the instances were real; or just more of the hyper rumor mill ??

Well that's a really good message ))because I also hearing those phrases everywhere - "I know" but they don't know them personally. So, I was chatting with one girl from Uzbekistan and she said that her relatives were stopped in JFK and sat there 18 hours explaining why they are flying to US. They have GC for 10 years! She also having a friend who changed her inner Uzbekistan passport (not traveling one) to a new surname because she got married abroad and wanted to prove it. But on US border they TOLD her to show every document that she has and there was her own passport with new name which wasn't matching with GC and they have sent her home. Its weird because according to papers which are coming with GC - you don't need even to show other papers except GC when you are flying to US. So, obviously it's not Ukraine BUT Uzbekistan also not in that "banned 7 countries" and they are passing hard checking on a boarder. That's why those stories make me nervous a little bit.

  5. Good afternoon everyone.  I have a question to people who received first Green Card or GC in general. I just got it a month ago (was applying after getting married through K1 visa) and about to visit my relatives in Ukraine. I have already tickets and Im flying on March 14th and curios about returning back stuff. Have heard from some people here that with new Trump's laws, some green card holders are taken away from planes to the USA for some additional "processing". I really don't want to go home and not to come back to my husband. If anyone have heard something about that i'd be glad for an answer. Thank you so much

  6. :goofy: Hey everyone! i just got from Kiev, so I got it!!!! Passed medical in 22 and interview on 24!
Entered the embassy at around 8:15 (it was on 8:30) and went out at 9:30! In three words - fast, easy and positive!
Interview went so great! Woman who was talking with me was REALLY cool! It seems to me that she was asking me not like a "she is a serious worker", but like friend!
    So, questions were the following:
    1) when did you meet?
    2) how many times he was in Ukraine? how much time did we spend together?
    3) what is his job?
    4) what is my job?
(he is a musician and i'm an artist so she was interested in as she said ARTISTIC couple)
    5) why do I know English so good?
    and the last one
    6) retell me your rights from the brochure in Ukrainian : :secret:
and that's all! She smiled all the time and gave me back my papers and a paper - your visa is approved!
Today 25th I got home and the status of my visa is already "issued"! :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing: I am so happy! Thank you everybody, who are charing by information here! You've helped me a lot! An amazing web! Good luck everyone who is waiting! It is loooong but it is completely worth it!!!!!
  7. Ok, i have a problem now. Today i received letter with all financial documents from my fiance. Recently my street has changed the name. In each paper as well as in my ds160 i put my old adress ( because we haven't changed that name as well as my neighbors still - to much of paperwork), but John my fiance wrote in I-134 new name of the street. Im nervous about that. Do we need change it there or it can be like that and to add there a letter of explaination, that it's new name, but in my passport still old one, neither building number or flat hasn't changed. ?!?! Because I've interview soon...disappoint :(

    Please help with advice

  8. On CEAC it says "ready" but it said before:

    Case creation - 24 feb 2016

    Updated on - 29 Feb 2016

Today I checked on it and it said Updated on - 9 March 2016...

Does this usually mean that they're sending out a letter or something? Is there any way I can know what updates were made?

I've booked my medical but haven't got my letter saying the consulate have it yet. I've also already sent all forms off/even my readiness form.

    Oh, don't' worry!
We had the same.first date was: 24 of february, and the second - 26. Then when they have sent us a confirmation email in this day it was changed to 1st of March.
It means that you must receive their email these days about that you can schedule an interview.

Wanted to ask, do I need to take only DS-160 form to the embassy, or also DS-156??

    What is that form?

  9. Hi Dave,

We had the same situation. Our simple solution was for her to type a short note saying she plans to get married.she signed it in blue ink, scanned and emailed it to me. I printed it and sent it in. (Using blue ink signature, with the black letter makes it a bit harder to tell if it's wet or dry

Oh ( We have read about that , it is strongly recommended black ink don't know why.
    Keep strong there!
P.S. Hello Nashville by the way! I'm going to move there
  10. As long as the Tax transcripts show more than the poverty line (approximately 20k per year) then the money in savings is irrelevant.

Thank you guys! Yep, he has more than 2016 requirements. That's good information. Have an appointment on 22 to medical and on 24th of March to embassy, want to be sure in every paper you know.
Is it real that almost all people are getting approved? Because I have read and a bit nervous about interview. Our relationship is more than a year and we want to be together so so much. How to keep calm myself? :clock:
