  1. Thanks karachiite much appreciate but still dont get it...DOS have new laws about visa bulletin incase u dont know and now in every month they will publish two chats of visa bulletin one is DATE FOR FILING APLLICATION.and two is APPLICATION FINAL ACTION..in april bulletin the said all FB2 pertitioners should use DATE FOR FILING APPLICATION chart and EMPLOYMENT BASE should use APPLICATION FINAL ACTION DATE chart...DOS laws says if there are more visa numbers than applicants they will publish on thier web page that all farmily base pertitioners should use DATE FOR FILING APPLICATION chart ...i have not come accros any page that says that the DOS new visa bulletin which is.. A -DATE FOR FILING APPLICATION chart is for peoples already in the states and the

B- APPLICATION FINAL ACTION DATE chart is for people outside the states, but rather the DOS new visa bulletin charts explains that the DATE FOR FILING APPLICATION chart will be use for family base sponsores if only there are more visa numbers than applicants..and the EMPLOYMENT BASE will use the APPLICATION FINAL ACTION DATE chart....so in the next month if there is more applicants than visa numbers then the DOS will publish it as to which chart to use..this is my understanding on the DOS new visa bulletin chart...if there is any one on the FAMILY BASE CATEGORY who have use the new DOS visa bulletin he/she should tell us so we will understand it very well.THANKS

you got it all wrong my friend.

as karachite told you one for adjustement of statusfor those inside US and the other for consular processing outside .

  2. Thank you :) Will ask my dad to send the case number to me when they get back. May I ask please what are the calls and attorney for? Like follow up the visa processing? Will the latter fasten the processing? Will it cost me to get an attorney for this? Im really sorry for all the questions Maam, i am trying to get all the info I can since my parents have little patience in reading info like this, so I just tell them all this.

At this stage nothing can a lawyer do but waiting for pd
  3. I have 2 kids with me, but I am still not married. :) do you know how long does it take? I think it's slower if Im from Philippines.

yes indeed long journey if from Phillipines. For the last 5 years the vb went from August 1999 to mars 2005 means 5years and 7 months.

don t let your father update your status to f1 at least for now.may be down the road if things changed in f1.

f2b is ahead by almost one year now.

hopefully for you another 5 years or less .......

    good luck

  4. Hi, I'm trying to understand how everything works. My father petitioned me and my sister (plus my 2 kids) when he was a permanent resident. Recently, oct '15 he has his oath-taking as a US citizen. He didnt update his status yet on the petition as he is currently on vacation and will update it once he goes back to US. The only info I know is that he filed the petition 12/20/10. And as far as I know, since my sister and I are 21 years over when he filed the petition, so it would take 10 years.. Can anyone please

help me understand what and where should I check the status of my petition? I saw the Visa bulletin and if I am not mistaken, it says that the Visas right now that are being processed are year 2005 petitioners. So does this mean I still need to wait for 5 more years? We are currently filed under F2B. Please, please. I am desperate to know some answers, been wanting to spend time with my parents living in US since theyre getting older. Thank you, in advance.

    sorry charmedone,

f2b just for unmarried sons and daughters over 21 years. And it is only available for green card holder.

once the applicant get married the application is revoked. may be your sister or brother is still good to go if not married .he or she may even benefit from the naturalization of your father by switching the category from f2b to f1and keep the same priority date.

check the visa bulletin to see the processing time for each category.

your father can apply for you now under f3 .it is a long journey ahead ..........

  5. Hello everybody

a friend of mine overstayed his voluntary departure 12 years ago.never left the us.clean record.got married to a green card holder 2 years ago.she will apply for citizenship this month.

by the way his vd due to overstaying his b2 visa .

I know vd turns out automatically to order of removal.

does the ten years ban apply in his situation? Can he adjust without leaving? Does the ten years count from the actual departure or from the date of vd decision.

Any help with his options if any?????

I know a lawyer is a must? Any good one in Chicago area???
