    I met Juan while visiting family in Jalisco, Mexico in July of 1999. (Juan is from the same city my mom is from in the state of Jalisco). We remained friends because we did not want to begin a long distance relationship. However, we decided to give our relationship a try during my visit in the summer of 2001. We have been together ever since. Since I was going to college during that time (2000-2005), I would spend 2-3 months in Mexico with my love during my summer vacation. This past July of 2006, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary AS A COUPLE (it's about time we get married now, don't you think?)

    In the beginning, we maintained in contact through phone calls and letters. Then we upgraded to long e-mails and phone calls. Now we spend about 2 hours each night on MSN messenger using a headset and webcam, gotta love the technology.

    Now we are ready to settle down, it's been 5 years in this relationship (7 years knowing each other) and we are ready for the next phase in our lives.
