My fiancé's interview is tomorrow at 12:30PM. Should he only arrive at 12:15? Can you show up too early? When should he be in line? We just want to be sure as he's traveling four hours to get to London.
Thanks. -
Lol, that's what I figured! Thanks again.
-
We wrote it by hand, and I had already sent it off to my fiancé. If we have to do it again, I will. But I do think my print is legible enough? Should I not worry too much?
-
So we were filling out the affidavit, but after finishing it, my fiancé mentioned about print meaning block capitals. Is it okay if we didn't do that? It's not all lowercase, but it's not all capitalized. I'll print it out again if necessary and send it over, but just want to be sure.

Thank you all!

What is it?
A certificate that states there's no record of marriage.
-
We are gathering things for the interview and were wondering if the Certificate of Non Impediment was needed for his interview at the London Embassy? It doesn't say it it on the checklist through https://uk.usembassy.gov but we keep hearing abou it. Neither of us have been married.
Thank you.

Which affidavit of support form do I use for the K-1? I-134 or I-864?
Thank you! -
Super late reply, but thank you very much! I have also decided to send an updated letter of intent.

Hello!
We received our NOA2 a week ago (while I was in the UK), and I am wondering of everything I have to send over to my fiancé for his interview! What's an absolute requirement vs. not required but recommended? My dad is going to be supporting him.
Thank you! -
The list is very helpful, however I saw an entry of several RFE's because of problems with the Beneficiary's birth certificate. At what part of the process is this certificate required? I do not see it on my checklist for the I-129F. I will be submitting my application in a few days, and I am VERY NERVOUS about getting it right the first time.
When it asks about your proof of US citizenship, several choose the birth certificate as proof of that

Hi everyone! Very silly question, but I am super specific about things. Where should I write the original submission statement on the envelope that I am sending? Under USCIS in the address? At the bottom alone?
Thanks! -
This was a question I had, too! Thanks
-
Congratulations! We hope to have ours sent on Friday! I'm excited and nervous.
Depending on how fast it all happens, I'd love to be able to go with him to the interview... but I'll only be visiting him for a month in March! -
That's the one I was looking for! We have our return address on our own.
thank you!
-
Thanks for the advice, everyone! He has visited twice before, so we have proof of that.
Just wasn't sure if my future plans to see him would count for anything.
Also, when putting the address on a cover letter, letter of intent, etc... what address did you use? I'm seeing different things. And do I sign the bottom of G-325A? It doesn't leave space for that, only for printing your name?
Thanks again! -
Hi everyone! I am assembling the first part with the I-129F and all, but have a few questions.
1. With the cover letter, should I list all the proof that I provided for our meeting? Or is it okay to just state that I have listed proof (and keep it neatly together)?
2. A little silly, but do I need to sign proof? Like copies of boarding passes/itineraries? I sign everything else, right?
3. I have booked a flight to see him in March (I've never flown before, so I won't have stamps in a passport from a previous meeting). Is it a good idea to use my itinerary as proof of an ongoing relationship?
Many thanks! -
This was my 34.a:
Had no problems. I more so just listed where we initially met (online), where we met in person (Airport), and the subsequent visits afterwards.
Also, note that if you put you met online, regardless of a game or not, you can get hit with an RFE asking for more information about where you met on the internet. My fiance and I also met an online game, we expected a RFE because we just put we met online, but we didn't get one. At the interview when my fiance was asked where we met he said online on World of Warcraft and the interviewer just laughed and said he got that a lot lately lol.
Ahh, I thought we should have included that. Okay.
Thank you! And lol, we met on MapleStory and League of Legends. xD.

Oh, oh. For proof, I can use tickets and stuff, right? We went to movies and hockey games while he was here... will that be sufficient? And for his passport, does he just need his main page with the pages that were stamped? Or everything?
Thanks!! -
Lmao i didnt know it could actually be THAT short. Mine was also a page long with 6 paragraphs and it almost didnt fit
It went fine too xP
Just keep it as it is. Mine was full page A4 with a lot of details and it was fine.
LOL. Okay, so it's fine if it's as is? I might add the timeline idea at the bottom though, it seems smart.
-
Ur welcome!
Good Luck!
Did you just put the dates right underneath the paragraph? Or say something before putting a list?
-
It's good! Much better still a bit long but its goid still. Now at the end I put a timeline. You do not have to but sometimes the dates get lost in all that wording so I did this after my paragraph.
Xx-xx-xxxx. Met online
Xx-xx-xxxx. First in person visit
xx-xx-xxxx. Second in person visit
Thank you so much! That was very helpful
-
Should be very short and simple. Mine was 4-5 sentences, a very short paragraph. We met online on Xx-Xx-XXXX. I visited on these dates......
That's all they need. Keep it simple.
Ahh, okay. So I omitted a lot but still kept key dates. Is this better? Or should I cut out the proposal part?
"[fiancé’s name] and I started a romantic relationship together on April 13, 2014. After eight months of Skype calls and texting, we met in person for the first time on November 24, 2014. He spent seven weeks here in the states and stayed with me and my family over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
He came to visit again over the summer for three months, staying with me and my family from June 21, 2015 to September 15, 2015. While on our family vacation in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, he proposed to me on August 2, 2015."
Show up no more than 15 minutes before interview?
