Hello , we just had our interview March 20 and when we got home our status online changed to " Interview completed and case must be reviewed " it's already 3 weeks .Yours took how long ? What's the outcome ? Kindly reply
Hello. Well, our case needed to be reviewed because I (the U.S. citizen) did not bring an original of my birth certificate to the interview. Of course, we did not know that was the reason until we received a letter via post saying that was the reason for the case not being approved. And in that week we thought about all of the reasons why they might be denying my Syrian husband status. Duh! So after I sent in my birth certificate original (which took about 3-4 days for me to get and then send on), then 7-10 days after that his AOS was approved. I hope that the reason that your case is being reviewed is as simple as ours was.

Hello all:
My husband and I went to our green card interview today at the Fairfax, VA, office. The interview lasted one hour. We were asked about how we met, when things "got serious", when we got engaged, who was at the wedding. We didn't answer with specific mm/dd/yy, but rather in general terms, as we aren't much for celebrating anniversaries (anniversaries of the wedding - yes, anniversaries of meeting, or getting engaged -- not so much
). We handed over our holiday photo card (a good idea), proof that he is on my medical insurance, co-signed car loan, etc. We were asked all of the I-485 "yes/no" questions. We were asked for his divorce certificate from previous marriage, my divorce certificate from previous marriage, my most recent tax filing (I file late every year
), his sealed medical records and immunizations. At the end of the interview, we received a notice of interview results with a "reason for continuance" saying that our case is being held for review. At this time, USCIS does not require any further information from us. I'm not quite sure what to think. My husband and I think that the interview went well. He is Syrian, and it may be the case that the interviewer's supervisor needs to sign off, or that there is an additional background check. In any case, I will write an update to VJ once I hear of the next step, for other July 2016 AOS filers who may be in the same situation. Courage, everyone!

Hello all:
We are mailing our I-751 package on Monday to Texas P.O. Box. I used the tabs idea for all of the Annexes -- I have Annexes A all the way to Z! Our 90-day window opened on October 13th. But it has taken us more time to get our package together than I thought. Good luck everyone!
