  1. I applied on February 1st 2019 (Detroit). Estimated time to be completed was 12 months. I can see there are some other applicants applied after me stating 13 months. So it can be translated as maybe applicant numbers has been increased after February 2019. Maybe I am wrong but just wanted to share my idea without any exact knowledge. Good luck to everyone on their exciting journey.

  2. Hi, my husband is from State and We got e-mai from NVC. It says

    20APR16

'' The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa

case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a
consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.''
How long does take get the interview in Ankara ? Any idea please ?

12/9/2015: NVC received all requested doc. email

    3rd NA day: 1/11/

    NVC CC email notifiCATİON: 1/20

Interview scheduled for March 29th ANKARA Embassy

  3. What things did you have to bring with you. Our letter indicates that we only need his passport, birth cert, and medical report but the Ankara website states that they require originals of pretty much everything as well as an additional $325.

To be honest I brought every original documents but I missed one of the original document( previous marriage termination) and they insisted on the original document and I told them I don't have it and I showed them my vital records that shows the divorce. I was very afraid about that but they still approved my visa. I brought bunch of documents including our wedding album etc that was so much and even the officer laught at that. So it all really depends on the officers decision. I would recommend to bring all the originals which they requested. Just for making your mind relaxed My interview questions were

    1. How long have you been in Turkey with your wife?

    2. What are you doing in Turkey?

3.What will you do in US?

    4. My previous J1 2 year rule requirement?

    5. Where is your family?

    6. Do you have relatives in US?

I don't even remember the officer asked me more but even if she asked for sure it was very easy to answer that I don't even remember.

The funniest part of the interview was, even if I needed to show my wedding album there was not enough room to put throught the hole of the window.

    Good luck

  4. You think this guy is crazy and what a stupid question. Let me explain. I applied for a job in US and the interview date for the job in US is just 3 days before my IR1 visa interview in an overseas embassy. I have an issued B1 visa. Can I enter and turn back with that for 1 day?

Also in advance even if they postpone the interview for one week, I don't want to enter right away since I have 6 months to find a job?

What is your idea about this crazy topic?

  5. Congratulations. You are added to the spreadsheet. :goofy:

Thank you. I,m sorry that I couldn't have added my exact timeline but at least maybe someone can benefit from tihs information

  6. 3rd NA day: 1/11/

    NVC CC email notifiCATİON: 1/20

    STATES THAT

    20-JAN-16

    Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments in a first-in, first-out manner. Most appointments are set within 60 days of NVC receipt of all requested documentation. However, we cannot predict when an interview appointment will be available.

When we are able to schedule an appointment, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable). The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassy’s interview requirements online at http://nvc.state.gov/interview. Thank you for your patience.

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview. In particular, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

    • He or she is more than 16 years old;
    • The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
    • He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.

The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

    Sincerely,

    Director

    National Visa Center

I hope this document will be helpful

  7. Today is my 30 day mark at NVC after my scan date... :( Ok come on NVC give us all good news please...

just for giving you an idea

Nvc checklist recieved notification (12/9): They stated they have recieved at 12/4

    3 rd NA: 1/11

Still no notification email about CC

I talked to my lawyer and she has just said ''The fee payments and documents are processed. We are waiting for the interview date''

So either she talked to NVC and got the confirmation about CC or she is estimating like that.

Anyways eventhough my case seems to be completed (with 3rd NA) , I have not recieved any notification from them.

    Good luck

  8. It is obvious to me: the subtitle in the NVC wiki guide is CASE COMPLETE.

Why will I assume CC's date is different from the one the three N/As appeared?

How important is to know when EXACTLY is the CC date for you?

I am just curious, maybe I am missing something here.

Personally I just want CASE COMPLETE so I can just relax from the NVC bureaucracy and prepare for interview regardless if the CC date is + or - few day

Why will I assume CC's date is different from the one the three N/As appeared? Answer: even scan dates can be different from the NVC's email notification. So we can assume there is a possibility. Evenif you won't assume, I can assume.

How important is to know when EXACTLY is the CC date for you? Answer: people are counting days one by one. You can take a look for case complete to interview schedule spreadsheets as everybody put their EXACT CC date so people can even count 1 day. Besides, my personal interest is my wife will need to turn back to US so if we get a checklist before CC and if we need extra documents etc. I would like to know exact date. Also people can have their own personal reason.

Thank you for trying to convince me about unnecessary point.

  9. Yes there are various topics on 3 N/As, including a screen shot o and also is mentioned in Saylin's NVC wiki guide:

    http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

    Case Complete

There's currently a way to know (not 100% guaranteed though) if you have case complete by looking on the CEAC site. If the AOS fee changes from PAID to N/A, (THAT IS 3 N/As) then I'd suggest calling NVC up pronto as most, if not all, people who have reported seeing this have a case complete.

Although case complete emails used to be rare for non-EP folk, it's becoming more common (it might even be that everyone is getting them now). But, they're severely delayed (sometimes a week or more!), so do not rely on it (unless you're in no rush to find out). The fastest way to find out if your case is complete is to call an operator at NVC and ask.

After the case is complete, the case is put in a queue to get an interview date scheduled.

Probably I couldn't explain it right. My question was about EXACT DATE of CC. I was not asking about the meaning of 3rd N/A. I searched all the topics and READ wikiguide. I'm asking it again Is the day of changing PAID to N/A same as the exact day of CC?

  10. I´m sorry it´s taken you all this time. I hope you can get CC soon.

So I just called NVC and guess what...we don´t have a checklist but also our Scan date has changed from 12/02 to 12/07!!!!!! Is that even possible???

I have two emails from NVC stating that they´ve received our documentos on the 2nd of December. The operator told me that our case will most likely be complete on 01/18 if we don´t get any checklists along the way. I´m so frustrated right now.

    Here is an important issue.

If the scan date is 12/07 , 01/18 will be 30 BUSINESS days. So 30-days letter means 30 BUSINESS days???

  11. Gotcha. Yeah I had the same 2 year HRR myself after doing an AIESEC (J1) internship in the U.S.

Wouldn't it be nice if immigration attorneys had customer satisfaction guarantee ?

"If your case is delayed while I'm on the case, I will give you a full refund!".

I should just shut my mouth.

To be honest still I trust my attorney since she has a good reputation and excellent customer reviews on her. My case was really complicated because of 2HRR and 2 year marriage (CR1 vs IR1) . Application timelines my job etc. Things can happen even with a great attorney. Thanks God that my wife is with me. I can't imagine being seperate and waiting for that.

  12. I´m sorry it´s taken you all this time. I hope you can get CC soon.

Thank you for the information you provide. I was expecting something like that beacuse of Christmas time. I think NVC step is really annoying evenif you have a good attorney.

  13. Day 40 today and no CC. Scan date 12/02.

I´ll call NVC when it´s 7am there because I´m afraid we might have a Checklist :(

Right now, I absolutely hate weekends and also the time change between countries :clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock:

    Don't worry. My story;

    Ncv recieved documents: 10/19

Checklist request: 12/01 ( My attorney talked on the phone and sent all the cheklist documents (military document and spouse domicile) by email and mail. My attorney told me my case proceeds smoothly and she doesn't expect any other checklist. )

    Nvc recieved documents: 12/4

so I think we will get CC in this week.

I don't want to ask my lawyer to talk to them again just wait and see.
