  1. Hi

The way I did mine when emailing to NVC, I did the AOS Documents first, putting the cover sheet as the first attachment followed by the documents, then did my IV documents, with the cover sheet attached first before documents. When emailing remember the file size can't be over 5mb or they won't get it. I think this is why I got an RFE for the I-864 form, because I attached it as a file, so in the end I scanned and attached every page separately, you will probably end up with a lot of attachments but that's how it works, didn't have a problem after that. When you get to pay for the AOS & IV they will give you instructions on how to send anyway.

And yes you have to send the passport photos, I asked the same question to NVC themselves and yes you do. As for the tax side of things, can't help you there, my husbands was pretty straight forward and had already done this years taxes, sorry! Hope this helps and not to confusing  . Best of luck :)

  2. I am so enjoying reading all the APPROVED!!! messages in here. I still have a bit of a wait, but it is really reassuring. I'm not till the end of next month, but already stressing so much over it that I have just about bitten all my nails off, if I keep going it will be my fingers next  , lol, Anyways just wanted to say congrats to all that have been approved and good luck again to all those interviews coming up!

  3. Actually now i think of it, I had the same problem, and it was because the file size was too big. It was the RFE documents that they didn't get. I rang not long after I sent them through and was told they hadn't received. I ended up scanning each page and saved as a PDF and attached individually in the one email, ended up being something like 15 attachements, rang the next day and they said they had received it, it just hadn't been entered into system yet. So file size may have something to do with it, or you could try ring again at the end of the week and see what they say. Or you could do what I did lol!

  4. Hi,

When I emailed my documents off originally, I never got a conformation, but when I resent the RFE documents via email, I did get a confirmation email straight away, stating they have received and to allow the usual 30 days to review. Both times though I did wait about 4 days then rang NVC to confirm they had received my documents. Hope this helps ?

  5. I'm guessing it wasn't your error- the same thing happened to us (we applied March last year- whole process finished in November). From the time we created the profile on ustraveldocs until the end of the process, it had K1 visa information. I was a bit worried about it, and thought about calling someone, but I was also busy relocating myself, three small children and two dogs to the US without my husband, so I never got around to it. All turned out fine and we never actually used the ustraveldocs website for anything at all.

Reassuring to know, thank you. Considering I've enquired via email and haven't received a response ?

  6. Yep, pretty sure it was my mistake, (that's what you get for not concentrating on what you're doing lol) I'm an IR-1, so I will just contact them via the website I guess and see what happens. Everything else on there is correct and still waiting for interview date. ?

  7. So, it seems due to an operator error (me)?, while I was on the ustraveldocs site, after putting in all my info, I was checking a few things out, not really taking notice of what I was clicking on and now on the dashboard page it says I'm applying for a K-1 visa, this is not the case!!! I have gone back to try correct it, but it won't let me. Does anybody know how to rectify this problem?? Thanks ?

  8. Thank you for this! It is encouraging to hear. I'm still waiting for my interview, but knowing that I will be leaving all that I know and love, is still an emotional time, especially starting a new life. Don't get me wrong one that I'm looking forward to, especially being with the man I love, but it's scary! It's a big difference between holiday for 6 weeks at a time and staying permanently! ?

  9. Hey all, just found this topic :-)

Just wondering, does anyone know if the flu vaccine is a compulsary one? I never got it through work etc when I had the chance because the one and only time I've had it I had a major allergic reaction to it. I'm wondering if it's a non negotiable for the visa medical. Any idea?

PS I'm getting mine done in auckland. The cost is $360 (currently) and that includes chest xray and blood tests.

    Hey there,

I'm not sure about over there, but I did read for the Australian medicals held between April and September the flu vaccine was a compulsory requirement. I've never had it before, had it done 2 weeks ago and have been a bit blah since, won't be in a hurry to get another one lol. If only our medicals were that cheap lol ?

  10. About 3 hours. Our appointment was meant to be at 1:15 but doc was running behind. The actual appointment was probably an hour, then you have to go to the nearest bathroom in Sofitel to the urine sample, then over to the nearest pathology for the blood test (it's to test for syphilis but its required even if you have already tested for it). You also need to go somewhere for the chest x-ray. The machine was broken so my partner had to go back the next day, her documents were then ready for pick up 3 days later. Make sure you DO NOT open the results!!! It doesn't say on the envelope but the lady told us not to open, it's for the interview.

Happy to provide more notes on the medical if you want. You'll need medical records that prove you've had those vaccines, if you can't get the letters, they'll give you a booster or the vaccine again.

Cool, thank you. Something to look forward too lol. Off to my doc this week to get proof of my vaccines, so pretty much got everything covered. One more thing though, the price they charge does that include X-rays and blood tests?

  11. My partner had her medical at ANZAC Square in Brisbane last week. It costs $465 AU + any required vaccines. There are 3 - MMR ($50?), Influenza ($20) and DTP ($30?). The websites say you need like 8 vaccine shots and that they cost a million dollars, ignore them. Our total cost was $550 including vaccines

That's where I'll be going, how long did it take? Thankfully all my immunisations are up to date ?
