Nvc has not received my file after 21 days!!!!

our NOA 2 is one day earlier than yours, and NVC didnt receive our case either! Im so worried, why are they taking that long ?

Be careful what you read. Many times what seems to be obvious sometimes it's not. The rules are that you must meet in person within the past two years at least one time. If you have done that then you have no worries.

Thank you ! Yes we read the rules before applying for this visa, and we were calm all this time. Just so much stress going on during this waiting, so Im getting overworried over other couples messages on here, thank you againg for your answer !

Do you have pictures or any other proof from these 3 months together?

I got some questions because we got engaged after just 5/6 months of dating. But we had a lot of pictures / train and plane tickets from our round trip in Europe / entrance tickets from musea etc. and that was enough

Yes we have a lot of pictures, copies of airplane tickets, my visa, everything that they usually require. Im not afraid of any questions because everything is true and real love, even if we decided to marry pretty fast We think it should be fine, just this story with a guy from Morocco made me worry!

meeting only one time is not in itself a problem. I'm sure the visa denial was based on the CO not believing there was a real relationship and the key but not sole point of evidence for the CO was the single meeting time. many people get approved with only a single in person meeting, but those people can show evidence of a real relationship with continuity before and after that meeting.

if you can show you were together for 3 months, then your "single meeting" will not be a problem at all.

Hi everyone ! I have a question. I just saw story of a couple who got refused in k1 visa cause they met in person just 1 time. So, me and my fiance basically met one time as well, but we lived together for 3 months during this one time. So are here any other couples who have similar situation, and do we need to worry, because basically it was just 1 airplane ticket and 3 months together ? I got so streessed after reading that story, our time is coming and I dont know what to do

I posted the following message in the NVC forum the other day and only had one response, so I hope it's okay if I post it here too. The K-1 forum seems to have more traffic than the NVC forum.

My K-1 was assigned an NVC case number on 3/16. As of 3/17, when I check the CEAC tracker, it says it is "In Transit." For some reason I feel confused about this stage of the process, and the guides that I see posted are for the spousal visa. (If I'm missing a guide for the K-1, please point me to it!)

I have a few questions:

1) When I called to get the case number, I didn't give them any email address for updates. Should I call them back and do this? Or doesn't it matter?

2) Will the consulate notify us when they receive the paperwork and we can actually file the DS-160?

3) Does the CEAC tracker still show updates from the consulate, also?

4) Basically, do I just sit and wait for the embassy to contact him?

In transit means its bean sent to embassy in your country( so its probably in airplaine right now haha ). No you dont need to call them back, next email update will be message from your consulate with invitation on interview, answering the next question, yes embassy will notify you When your case will arrive in embassy the CEAC will update that as well. Yes you just need to wait letter from your embassy! Good luck !

I looked at your timeline, did you wait that long for NVC to receive your docs.. its more than a month ! We are waiting for our case number and calling everyday so Im curious about that.

Faster answer, my fiance didn't listen me when I start saying call to the Nvc we wait until have 30 days and they ask wait 45 days more just to check my fiance email

Unfortunatlly Im in eastern europe right now waiting for my visa as well, and my fiance is from Pennsylvania, so I cant help you with senator of Massachusetts. But If your fiance is american and he lives there for a while, he probably knows who is his senator and how to email him about help, I just heard that in cases like that people do that and sometimes it works, I really wish you good luck with everything and hope you will be together as soon as possible !

Hello, I also waiting the Nvc letter, my fiance and I call everyday to ask them if they have our case number, cause we been waiting 48 days until now since January 27th, as I said before my fiance sent on march 2 an email with our approval letter noa2 scanned, even we called to uscis, uscis said we have to wait cause they approved our petition and they sent it to the national visa center, its taking so long, always Nvc says the same they dont have our case number we have to wait a response for the email that my fiance sent them 13 days ago, I'm very stressed the petition will expires on may 26 th, the only I want is be with my fiance is getting hard wait so long time

Omg Im so sorry for you, I understand how hard it is I think in your case when its already more than 35 days you need to ask senator of your fiances state to help and contact the NVC, thats redicilous how long you are waiting !

Hello everyone ! Its 2 weeks since we got approved ( NOA 2 ). We tried contacting NVC to find out the case visa number and if they received it, they told my fiance twice, that we need to wait email from NVC and if we wont recieve it in 35 days than we can contact them. But it seems from the forums, that NVC dont send emails with case numbers, they are too busy I guess:( So what should we do ?
