  1. Hi 2 questions

    1) I notice on the California Center there are many notes about reusing biometrics and so on but nothing on the Vermont center. Does that mean no one that is using the Vermont Center got anything? I'm asking because we haven't received anything yet.

    2) The extension letter is good for a year. So what happens if it's approaching a year and we still don't have the new green card? What's the process? Should we apply for something else or apply again?

    Thank you

  2. We had gotten married in 2015 while we were still living abroad and when we moved here she still had her Maiden name.  In 2016 we arrived in the states and got here green card and later in the middle of the year decided to change her last name. After changing it we went to the USCIS office and asked about what we should do since we changed her name and they said to just wait for the 2 years and at that time you can update the name change instead of getting a replacement card.

So yesterday the lady asked her about the name thing and therefore told her that she'd have to do an interview or something. I don't know all the specifics cause I wasn't there but something like that. So i was wondering how soon they schedule them

  3. Hello everyone, I submitted my ROC on 2-5 and they received it on 2/7 and I haven't received my NOA1 yet.

I'm a little worried because I had forgotten to change the address with USCIS when we moved a year ago however I did change the address with the post office.

When I was checking everything for the ROC I put the new address in the current address and the old address on the additional information sheet.

I'm worried that they will send the reply to the old address and if they do I'm not sure how I can check since I live far away from there now.

Is there a number to call where they would tell you whether or not something has been sent out or is there a way to check?

    Thank you

  4. I have a question in regards to address change.

Last year we moved and I submitted the address change with the post office but I didn't do the form we are supposed to do for here.

    I'm hoping I won't have any problems.

On the I-751 I just wrote the new address and in the section that says previous addresses I obviously wrote the new one.

I wasn't that worried but now since I have submitted the ROC and waiting for the NOA I'm worried that it'll be sent to the previous address.

Did anything do something similar and if so what do you think or what have you experienced?

    Thank you
