Hi everyone! Been a long time since I've asked for help on here. Thank you for all the past times you all have helped out!
Should we notify them after we change our phone number and if so, where can we go to do it online? or what number should we call?

Was anyone out of the country when the card was shipped and if so, did you have any problem coming back in without the card?

Hi Starsky, I just wanted to update our information as it appears I forgot to.
We received the 18 month extension on 08/06/2018 and our case was transfered to Texas on 02/08/2019. If you could kindly update my status on the board it would be appreciated.

Hi where can you go online to see if there's an update? Usually I just wait for emails they send. Thanks!

I got it, thank you for the information. I just read the last 20 pages or so of this and I'm more informed now haha

Hi 2 questions
1) I notice on the California Center there are many notes about reusing biometrics and so on but nothing on the Vermont center. Does that mean no one that is using the Vermont Center got anything? I'm asking because we haven't received anything yet.
2) The extension letter is good for a year. So what happens if it's approaching a year and we still don't have the new green card? What's the process? Should we apply for something else or apply again?
Thank you

We had gotten married in 2015 while we were still living abroad and when we moved here she still had her Maiden name. In 2016 we arrived in the states and got here green card and later in the middle of the year decided to change her last name. After changing it we went to the USCIS office and asked about what we should do since we changed her name and they said to just wait for the 2 years and at that time you can update the name change instead of getting a replacement card.
So yesterday the lady asked her about the name thing and therefore told her that she'd have to do an interview or something. I don't know all the specifics cause I wasn't there but something like that. So i was wondering how soon they schedule them

My wife did the biometrics appointment yesterday. During the appointment they mentioned that she will have to do an interview at a later date but didn't specify when.
Does anyone know how long after the biometrics they usually conduct the interview? Perhaps a time-frame?They just told her that she will receive something in the mail about it but that was all
Thank you

For those that have already gone a few quick questions
1) Are you allowed to bring your spouse or do they not allow it?
2) Same with a child, could you if you wanted to?
3) What exactly happens at the Biometrics? Would you describe it as stressful?
Thank you

Question about the biometrics appointment
Can you bring your spouse or do you have to go solo?
also, if you have a baby can you take them or again are you not allowed to go in with someone?

question about the biometrics
1) Can your spouse come with you? or should you go alone?
2) Can you bring your child?
I have just received my biotmetrics for the vermont center on 3/27 but I'm not sure how to update that list, thank you

It appears that the biometrics appt comes roughly a month after receiving the NOA
Also,
For those who said don't worry about the issue regarding address change you were right. I received my NOA and everything appears fine. Thank you

as far as the Biometrics appointment goes, do they email us and automatically assign us a date or are we given choices or should we do something?
Thanks

I-751 - submission 2/5
NOA1 - received 2/15

Hello everyone, I submitted my ROC on 2-5 and they received it on 2/7 and I haven't received my NOA1 yet.
I'm a little worried because I had forgotten to change the address with USCIS when we moved a year ago however I did change the address with the post office.
When I was checking everything for the ROC I put the new address in the current address and the old address on the additional information sheet.
I'm worried that they will send the reply to the old address and if they do I'm not sure how I can check since I live far away from there now.
Is there a number to call where they would tell you whether or not something has been sent out or is there a way to check?
Thank you

Does anyone know what I can do if I don't receive the NOA1 due to the address problem I was asking about? I'm thinking it may go to the old address even though I did write the new address for the current address.
Over the phone would they give me the info or would I have to make an appointment?
-
I’m just wondering if they will send the NOA to my old address or my current one since I didn’t update it and am unsure how to check.
is there a number to call or a place to inquire?
-
If that happens, when you call do they actually give you the information?
I know sometimes people who answer those calls are very cryptic
-
I'm pretty worried now. I'm going to call the number Monday morning. Thank you for the information.

I have a question in regards to address change.
Last year we moved and I submitted the address change with the post office but I didn't do the form we are supposed to do for here.
I'm hoping I won't have any problems.
On the I-751 I just wrote the new address and in the section that says previous addresses I obviously wrote the new one.
I wasn't that worried but now since I have submitted the ROC and waiting for the NOA I'm worried that it'll be sent to the previous address.
Did anything do something similar and if so what do you think or what have you experienced?
Thank you
-
how do you get the stamp
-
why do they call the green card i-551? it's not a form, it's a card
makes it confusing
