  1. My husband and I are anxious to receive his work authorization and ap card. He had his biometric appointment on July 19, 2016. We keep checking our status online and it still says our case was received. Waiting is torture, as you all know, so does anyone know if or when the status will change? Did anyone receive anything or hear anything in the mail upon completing their biometrics? Any info would make us feel better.... Thanks!

  2. My wife and I just moved to a new address this week. We filled out the AR-11 yesterday online. We did it for the I-485, I-765, and I-131 which are all currently pending. My wife is going to file our address change for the I-864 Affidavit of Support online as well. We are just curious if we need to do anything more. Does my USC wife need to do the AR-11 for each application as well? Is there anything we need to send in by mail? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you :)

  3. I arrived in the U.S. on 3/18/2016 and married my fiance on 3/21/2016. We had a reception and took some time getting our information together. All I needed was my vaccinations and we could submit our case. Unfortunately, we could not find a civil surgeon who was willing to forgo the exam even though instructions tell them they can because I had my exam in Pakistan in January of this year. So, we had to wait almost a month before our appointment for the exam. We went today and got my ppd read on my arm which is showing as positive because I received a BCG vaccine in Pakistan as a child. :( Now, we have to wait for my blood test to come back and then another week for the physician to come back into town and sign our documents. My visa expires tomorrow (6/14/2016) and we are a bit worried because we are not sure if there is an absolute deadline for filing AOS, EAD, and AP documents. Can anyone please tell us if we should be concerned? Thank you!

  4. My husband had his medical exam in Pakistan and received his k1 visa soon thereafter. He decided to wait until coming to America to receive his vaccines. We went and got them at the health dept. and when we said that the doctor needed to fill out the supplement page and ONLY certain parts of the I-693, the nurse said that they must have the results from his exam before the doctor can sign anything. Is this right? The only thing my husband received was a DS 3025 sheet signed by the physician in Islamabad Pakistan, that has the exam date listed at the top. He checked off inactive polio as my husband already had that. They of course are having him do a whole new medical before they will sign off. :( We need some help, pls!

  5. I know I'm late to this thread, but I had a difficult time finding a civil surgeon in Connecticut who didn't insist I needed the full medical exam again, even though my medical exam results are still in date. I finally found a doctor in Stamford who will transcribe the vaccinations for me for $50 so thought I'd share their name on here and add to the existing list:

    Dr. Marietta Vergara

    743 Hope Street

    Stamford, CT, 06907

    T: 203-964-1212

Your exam results are still in date....did you receive your results after your exam overseas? My fiance (now husband) had his exam in Islamabad, Pakistan but ONLY received the DS 3025 sheet with the exam date at the top and the vaccine list with inactive Polio checked off. The doctor signed and dated it. Was he supposed to receive something more? The doctors here insist they need the results or they won't sign the vaccine supplement sheet and required parts of the I-693 Medical Exam Report. :( They are making him get another exam!

  6. Hello. :) My husband and I went the past Thursday to get his vaccinations and the parts of I-693 signed and completed. Once he had his vaccines, the nurse told us the doc couldn't sign the thing bc 'they didn't have the exam results' from his exam in Pakistan before coming here. I even showed her the instructions that specifically state that if he had an exam overseas, then the parts of the the I-693 addressing tb and blood tests are not their concern. I even showed the nurse our DS 3025 with the exam date at the top. She acted like she was mentally challenged. Money is all these creeps care about. What I want to know is there a way to inform USCIS that these 'civil surgeons' aren't following the instructions given to them by USCIS? Thanks!

  7. It's basically for paperwork: it is so that your visa is not confused with the other type of visas.

Quick question, i never noticed that mine says non immigrant visa. I do not know since when, but it has been like that for a while. I have applied for a k1 visa for fiance. Should it say immigrant or non immigrant?

Well The fiancé(e) K-1 is a nonimmigrant visa, mine is k1 and stated "immigrant" for 6 months during AP up until 2 days ago and now it's changed to nonimmigrant and Ready
To be honest I don't understand the change either

It's for the paperwork: so that everyone can see which type of visa you were issued.

  8. I am worried, too. My fiance is from Pakistan and I hope and pray that our process will not be delayed or denied because of what those whack jobs did. I am getting fed up with crazies and their vile actions making it harder for good, decent people to make a better life for themselves. I just hope all of our processes go smoothly. Our case is currently being transferred to the embassy in Islamabad.....hope it goes quick!
