we got our visa on 4/15 it was supposed to be delivered to Bayawan but Delbros said they wouldnt be able to deliver it to her house and that they would just give the visa to the Ceres bus driver to deliver

I find it hard to understand why we pay extra to have delivered in province and they wont deliver it.

My fiancee had to go to Dumaguete and pick up her visa .

They held it since the March 21st and I called my Congress-woman and she had it released.

I wouldnt put so much power on the cogress womans shoulders there my friend.

They have no power over the visa process other than making enquierys about the status of your case.

Its more likely that the administrative process was complete and they just finally processed the visa for you.

I am glad to see you finally get your visa,we got the same delbros info today as you did and we been on AR since 2/27 and i didnt contact any congress or any outside help other than calling on occasion and checking the status myself.

Sometimes the AR is for simple name checks and NSO documents being verified.

I fail to see that as a derogatory word.

It is only a discription of a texture, i dont see how the texture of someones head or in this instance their hair is derogatory ,unless they are not happy with the way their hair is and they find the description offensive.

so i dont see the race card here unless he has history of making racist remarks.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but i did several searches and could not find it. Assuming our packet does not arrive or we dont want to wait on it, do we fill out the electronic ds-156 online? I can't find the straight hardcopy form online now. Even the link to the form in the packet instructions on Sheriff Uling's signature goes to the online electronic version. Is USE Manila ok with the electronic submission of that form?

PS...When I clicked on the link to the ds-156k form in the online packet 4, it also takes you to this same electronic ds-156 form.

as of Nov 1 2006, the electronic version is now the required version. That is why the search, and the link now take you to that site. If you fill it out, make sure you have al the information before filling it out. Each time you click on it, it will use up another accession number, and they prefer you do not do that as it uses up their accessions, and bar code entries. It dont really matter, but it save s them a lot of entry doings, so they want it this way to speeed them up.

Ds 156k form is differant than the DS156 electronic form.

The link when you click it goes to the DS156 form and they dont have the DS 156k form there on the site.

PW, we are still on AR the embassy was unable to do simple math and subtract 9 months from december and see when i was in phils with my fiance and see that the baby we have could actually be mine.

They requested we do a DNA test to verify the baby is mine.

I had to pay almost $900 to get the tests done ,but all is finished now just waiting for the results to be sent back to manila and for them to release the visa and passport for the baby.

I know that the embassy is just doing what they are required but they have know idea the stress they can cause someone when they are keeping someone from being with their family.

I see my daughter growing every day and its so hard not being able to hold her or hear all the new sounds she is learning to make.

I am hoping we will be together at the end of april.

Our photo's were returned to us on the day of the interview.

I guess it depends on what embassy you go through.

They gave back all of our proof of relationship with all the photo's submited.

Well we are on AR i believe its only because she needs to go back on tuesday for registration of birth of our baby and they wont finalize one without the other.

They didnt tell her we needed any other documents or anything just said to wait until they contact her.

She did pay delbros for delivery so we will know more tommorrow on what else is needed.

I live in jacksonville FL. and there is a philipino hangout on atlantic Blvd. accross from brumos car dealers called Rusty's grill They have alot of couples there on thursday,friday,saturday night and they have kareokee and buffet style food.

Maybe you can go there and meet some nice couples and help with the homesickness and all will be ok.

My fiancee isnt here yet but when she gets here we plan to go there on occasion to get to know others that have been through this process.

They have good food and are very nice people.

Hey PW, as much as i wish our interview is the 16th it isnt until the 26th. I wish we can cut 10 days of waiting from our life.

We also have an interview on the 27th for the registration of birth abroad for our baby and they want the same things required for the k1 interview.

You would think they could just forward the info to the appropriate office and save us all the headaches but that would be asking too much of the govt.

They did have us for the 22nd for the babys registration but i asked them to change it to the 27th so she didnt have to travel to manila so much.

Hope someone can help out here,after my fiancee went through both days at St.Lukes and completing her medical exam

on the next day while waiting for her flight back to province she lost her X-ray's at the airport in manila.

She thinks she left them setting on the seat next to where she was sitting and when she got on plane the stewardess said she didnt have enough time to go back inside and get them.

What do we need to do about this ?

Are the xrays needed at all once the medical is finished or are they only needed for the medical report that is forwarded to the embassy for the interview.

I see where alot of people say they are never asked for the X-rays ever again so i am thinking its not really a big issue.

My fiancee was all upset and worried that because she lost them that it will cause us more delays,but i told her its no big deal.

I just completed our baby's nursery using everything from walmart Paint,crib,wall boarder and all the little accesories to complete the job and i only went to 1 store.

I think that most people that bash walmart are the type that think they are above walmart customers like they are too good for walmart.

They think if they spend a few dollars more for the products they are buying they are getting better quality but walmart has all the big name brands and i think they have much better merchandise than some of the highend stores.

She wasnt really wanting to spend a weekend there in manila at a hotel with the baby if she can avoid it.

Also if she declines to get any shots needed and gets them when she is in the states if that can make a differance for the 2nd day.

There is no need to call or fax embassy about extentions of the noa2. They automaticly extend it past the 4 months. The manila embassy is the busiest in the world and this is routinely done, they realize it usually takes longer than 4 months and so automaticly extend it.

The extension is fairly routine, but in no way is it automatic.
