  1. The 129F was only the petition asking for permission to apply for a visa. The visa application is the DS-160 that's what needs to be correct. I'm actually really curious how you got a copy of the approved 129F, they don't send those out to people. That gets sent straight to the embassy from the NVC. Either way nothing the embassy is going to do to fix the 129f at this point, just make sure everything is correct at interview time so your visa will be correct.

i was also amazed when it delivered to our home this afternoon, while others had not received theirs anymore. USEM did send it to the beneficiaries but not everybody receives it. Im surprised it was mailed to me in a timely manner. It was actually along with the eligibility letter from USEM and IMBRA and medical instructions.

But the copy of i-129f is not needed during the interview, it's not listed in the set of instructions on what to bring.

  2. Jay make sure you tell them at the interview, nothing else you can do at this point. You've filed out the 160 and event else correctly. I doubt it is too big a deal. You don't really have a choice at this point in the process.

    thanks for the response.

As i have seen on the photocopy of our i129f, there are check marks on some items, i think those were the more important details on the form (such as the civil status, country of birth, etc.)

Anyone here knows the website i may e-mail regarding the corrections? because that's the least i can do i think. At least i notified them of the minor errors before my interview, whether they will or not do something about it.

  3. hi everyone!

i received the mail today of my packet 3 i think via Air 21. I scanned through the photocopy of our approved I-129f on hand and noticed wrong spellings:

We hired an attorney to fill in the I-129f and i think my petitioner hadn't double checked all the entries way back prior to submitting the petition.

    - on my address, the CITY was misspelled TANAHUAN instead of TANAUAN.

    - The consulate part where i will apply for a Visa was typed as my CITY of BIRTH instead of Manila.

    - My petitioner's CITY of birth was typed also as my CITY of birth.

But, and moreover, our case was already approved and those were all a minor mistakes.

Question is, should i request for a correction still since i am scheduled for interview on March 28?? Will i be able to let them correct it since it has been approved?

Will the CO doubt on our case because of misspelled addresses mentioned above??????

(On my G325a, DS-160, interview appointment every info are correct especially my address.)

    thanks everyone!!

  4. Nope the DS-160 doesn't expire. Remember you need the confirmation page from the DS-160 for the interview, plus a copy for SLEC on the 2nd day of the medical.

You will be fine, follow the embassy instructions letter.

Thanks! im afraid i might need to do a third DS 160 if it has an expiration. Because i had it done twice due to errors.

Oh, i have to bring a copy too on my second day of medical? Glad you mentioned it. thank you hank!

  5. No you do not need to re-print the confirmation. Your appointment has not changed, then you don't need a new confirmation page.

Did you complete your DS-160 before completing your appointment scheduling?

yes i did my ds 160 last february 18. yesterday i scheduled my interview.

Does DS 160 expires? because i did it last feb 18, and my interview date will be on march 28..Will it still be valid?

  6. I did the scheduling online a while ago. Then i realized i opt to change the delivery address to "pick up" instead of home delivery.

    questions:

    1. How will i re-print the appointment confirmation again after changing the mode of delivery?

    2. Is there really only one Barcode in the appointment confirmation such as the UID barcode? Coz ive seen one with the UID barcode and DS 160 barcode..

    thanks!

  7. The deposit receipt number is the RECEIPT NUMBER we printed in the deposit slip. It was also printed by the BPI on the upper left portion of the paper. I had a successful attempt at once to enter it and was accepted.

Others used the passport number but i guess it depends on what country they are applying. So for the Philippines we use what's on the deposit slip printed.

  8. Good advice.

May I suggest the following that was taken from my website http://dennyeyberg.wix.com/filipino-am-visa#!manila-process-usem/c95x

We recommend that you do three things to insure smooth processing of your documents. First, create a "dropbox", "google drive" or "just cloud" account for document storage. Dropbox is one of the easiest to use. They are free so take advantage of the opportunity. Once you have your cloud storage created then help your fiancé(e) learn how to log on and download or read documents from your cloud service. What's good about cloud storage during this process is that you can "drop" files, pictures and or scanned documents and your fiancé(e) will have access, almost immediately. Second item. Buy your fiancé(e) a 4GB thumb drive to store documents on. Now you have a no nonsense filing system which is safeguarding your documents. If any one system crashes you now have two others to access your documents from. Third item. Every single document you create, or receive during the visa process you put a copy in your cloud storage.

    Super agree to these tips!

Im the beneficiary, i have a 16gb thumb drive and stored everything on it. And for back up copies, i emailed everything to myself and my fiancé just in case my files got corrupted or if ever i forgot my thumbdrive i still have access to my files to open in a computer shop thru my email.

And ofcourse, Keep Praying althroughout the process. ?????

  9. :) Good to have less stress in ones life.

    thanks hank!

i made a new DS 160 and i found out that Education part was really missing in my old one. I printed the entire form (just for my own copy) and everything was there.

I scrapped the OLD DS 160 and kept the new one.

    wheeeeew! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

  10. Hi Amythyst88,

No, I did not take any vitamins. But 2 week before I had Allergic Rhinitis and Tonsillitis. Do you think that has an effect in my x-ray result?

not really. Xray images has this white and patchy image that sometimes conflicts with the findings. Sometimes it masks the normal image,i think SLEC are just making sure since it's their SOP and following CDC guidelines. Don't worry, all will be well. :)

  11. Thanks Greenbaum!

I had my medical last Tuesday and I was advised that I need to undergo sputum test, that the result will be released within 2 months :crying: I don't know how was that happened, for 5 years - annual medical in my company, I'm always clear with my x-ray test. Thus, I was not expecting this to happen.

I feel so depressed right now

were you taking vitamins before you had your medical??

2 months is not that long you'll never realized a month has passed and then only 1 month of waiting..

  12. I would not stress on it, as they said when you called USEM it is not a vital part of the process. Do remember, the DS-160 is used with many types of non-immigrant visas so it has sections that are not vital to the K-1 visa process.

What to do? Your decision. Personally I would relax, let it be. But if it really bothers you then complete a new DS-160 an bring the new confirmation page to the interview.

No so. Once the DS-160 has been submitted it can not be updated.

If i make a new one should i bring also the old confirmation during the interview?

  13. Because i believe i really filled up the education part of the form, coz if i did not, i would not be able to complete it at all, right? I would not be able to proceed to the next question and page. BUT everything should appear in the entire summary when i printed it out, even if i amswered it No or Yes, the question must be also printed, but there's none.

Well, i dont know yet if i'll stick with this confirmation or should start a new one.

  14. I am glad that you have done some research on this topic most do not. As the others have said, and I will say the same thing, you can still change things once you are at USEM. It would be a good time for you to relax and go to your interview as you seem to be ready. The CO's have access to the DS160 and can make corrections if NEED BE. Plenty of others have passed with items on the DS160 that were not 100%. Good luck.

I actually printed the summary of my DS 160 last time before i sign and submit it a while ago. I compared the printed final application to what i printed last time (in the REVIEW button), only to find out that the educational part was missing in the final printed application (after insigned and submit it)..

What confuses me is the fact that we cannot go to he next question if something was left unanswered. I regret i printed the whole application, i could have not seen and compare the previous summary to the final applications..
