  1. I have heard the same about FOIA. I'd started to inquire about a year ago and decided against it because I heard it ties the case up even more. For the peopel that did fond out the specific reason why their case was returned, I feel like its their hard work in not giving up until they get it. I haven't found out. I can only assume why my husbands case was returned.

For the folks that did find out, hopefully they will be along shortly to let you know what they did. I gave up on trying to find out "why" a long time ago. Besides I hear that once you are issued the NOIR/NOID, the reason is on that letter.

Am I wrong about that people?

If it seems to you that I wear my emotions on my sleeve, that would only be because of people like you, think you are the only people that know how this immigration system works and you refuse to look at others suggestions or ways of looking at things. I am here to help, not to bully people to believe everything I say. I am glad I have been able to help others through the process and thank God none of them gotten denied. I do not claim to be the cause of their success, but I can see with the work they did for their own cases and willingness to understand their case better to present it better (at all steps) proves there are many ways of looking at each immigration case and if they look at it differently they might better prepare and in the end be successful. But from day one when I first remember you on Visa Journey, you have attacked everything I've said. This only proves to me, you can't stand anyone that thinks differently than yourself, that you can't see what appears obvious to others because you want things to work your way. Well guess what, nothing works any one person way, expecially the immigration process. There are immigration laws in writing, true, but we all know that some cases are not handled properly or couples wouldn't be denied. So except that it isn't fair, that maybe you should do what you can to think outside the box to help you case at whatever stage your are at.

Please just listen to suggestions, without showing you think you know it all and others are clueless, when that only proves you are not trying to work this out or that you want to really help others.

For everyone else, all I ask is for you to make your own decision and do your own work figuring out the immigration process and anything that you can do to better help your case. That means at whatever point you find yourself in the immigration process, when you first apply and even more importantly if your case was denied. The advantage of talking to others that have gone through this same process is for them to share their experiences, give you suggestions on things they would've done differently, glad they did or bounce ideals off of to see if it could help your case or only hurt it.

In my work experience these are the skills I have needed to be successful in my work to help myself and my employees succeed and I found it even more important that I had these skills during the immigration process. And I am lucky to have been able to help people and to see them through the immigration process and their thanks and appreciation is worth more than any money I could've received. Plus it makes me feel like I am paying back for my husband, if you know what I mean.

For those who want someone to bounce ideals off of, or any help I can offer, let me know that is why I stay on VJ. And for all of you stay positive and work your ### off in everyway possible to be successful with this immigration process. Don't give up, just keep plugging away and I am here to help and so are others. I wish I could do more, I am not able to force the government to give your case approval, I am not an export, but I am no dummy, I have some useful skills that can help you like I've helped my own case and others.

God Bless you in your steps to get through the immigration process and I hope people can see what I am saying and to stop being childish.

    Sorry, I know I haven't been around in a while... but I couldn't resist!

    How DARE you, Chi!!!!!

  3. i will most definately do that and thank you for the number. Now let me ask you a question? do they know the reasoning my case was sent back for AP/AR?

Are you on AP/AR, or was your case returned to the US for review? Those, to the best of my knowledge, are different things.............

    Limah (L)(F)

  4. I called the Dept of State today and they told me that after my fiances interview that the case was sent back to USCIS in California for AP/AR because he was refused ; not denied. Please...anyone... tell me what THAT means?

There is a pinned topic at the very top of the page in this forum. If I were you, I would read that. Its got a lot of pages, but there is very valuable information there. I can pretty much assure you that you will get all types of information! People that have NOT been thru this will NOT give you information that is 100% correct cuz they aren't speaking from experience. I, myself, HAVE been thru this, and am still going thru it. I haven't quite reached the year mark since my Hubbyz case was returned to the USA. There are though, some ladies here that will sincerely, want to help you out. Just to name a few, Kiyah, Visa in Hand, Chiquita, Moroccogirlny.............. I want to say myself, but I have to admit, they are far more intelligent than I am when it comes to this. I have to go to then for info alot of the time.

I'll send you a personal message, too..................

Good luck in your case, no matter how long it may take to get it resolved. DON'T GIVE UP!

  5. Hi Limah, I moved from Los Angeles and about the heat I feel like I'm in haven I really love hot weather, my energy is the sun. I suppose I have to get ready for the winter, I heard that it get very cold, is something I'm not looking forward, winter is not my season.

In what part of Las Vegas are you?.I leave very close to the Sahara hotel.

I live "very" close to the Sahara hotel, too! I am looking forward to the winters here only because I am 1000% sure it does NOT get as cold as Chicago does!

    That I can take......

    Limah

  6. Appletree reporting for duty, getting ready to send send I-751 in a couple of days, we moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas about 3 months ago, so things are a little crazy here.

Once in a while I come and check how things are going. Thank you for remembering us.

    Love (L)(F)

    Alma

Well, that makes 2 of us. I moved to Las Vegas about 2 months ago. Is this heat NOT ridiculous? Where did you move from Alma? I can say this, I am from Chicago and I am looking foward to a winter without 6 feet of snow!

For the record, I come to VJ, every now and then, I just don't sign in. Too much garbage going on. Happy for all of those with successful interviews, I can relate to those who weren't so successful.

My heart goes out to those with marital problems, whether you have posted your stories or not!

  8. The woman was made from the rib of man

She was not created from his head to top him

Nor from his feet to be stepped upon

She was made from his side to be close to him

From beneath his arm to be protected by him

And near his heart to be loved by him

    Awwww. That's cute!

  9. I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO FRIGGIN CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with USCIS and this lady tells me the I-129 is still valid. What the?????? She told me not to be concerned with the dates on the NOA 2, and that it is still being processed and when the make a decision on it, they will either deny it or send it back to Casa for a 2nd interview????????? I am so trippin right now and I dont know what to think!!??? :help::help::help::help:

    i sooooooooooo understand!

    it is ok though.

    check this out!

i was told yesterday by an immigration officer in our local office that those people who answer the calls are people who are contracted out and know NOTHING!!!

i wanted so much to ask WHY then do we not get to talk to a REAL officer. but i wanted her not to get pissed off since she was already was a ######.

we are trying to get our green card situation straightened out now since Aug 06. we are in the black hole again where one office says one thing and another says another and those on the phone say another. trust me it is enough to drive you nuts! but i at least have my husband here with me to go through this together.

i would not put to much into what anyone says until you get the official notice. maybe, just maybe then you will get a glimmer of what the heck is going on. event that notice could be wrong from my experience.

hang in there. no one will ever understand what is like going through this until it happens to them. many claim they do but it is not true. we know and that is all that matters.

The things that make you go HMMMMMMMMMMMM...... What's the purpose of their jobs then? For the people that dont have internet access. I dont get it? Where are they getting the "extra" information from then, are they just making it up?

Even when I do get the hard copy in the mail, its going to say the same thing as the email does. I've forwarded both emails to the reps and I am waiting on a reply from him. I'm just anxious to see what he says.

  10. I am really wondering whats going on with this I-129 that is allegedly supposed to be expired.

  12. Hey Guys n' Gals,

I don't know how true it is that filing an FOIA actually slows down the process. I have heard that it does. There are very few people that can actually get that info. I have the letter from my husband giving me authorization to request it but I never did. Too many people say its a waste of time, and now that I'm hearing more often than not... that it slows down the process...................

I hope thats not the case for your sake!

Good Luck and I hope your congressional reps have some answers for you soon. My reps have been pretty consistent.

  13. Abdel and I both got this email this morning..... I thought the I-129 expired. Why and how was it transferred? What are they processing the return or the expiration?

Ok folks, as if this ain't confusing enough!:blink:

  14. For those of you that have had the opportunity to face USCIS with a rebuttal..... what are some of the things you did in preparation for it. I know how to write a letter and I have an idea of what it should say. Is there anything "special" related to these letters? Should they be constructed in a certain way? I know I have a minute before they request this from me but I feel like I can't just sit here and do nothing.

This question is being posed to the people that have ACTUALLY prepared a rebuttal packet after your spouses' petition was returned, of course anyone can reply. Thats not what Im saying. Experience is the best teacher. Sorry but I just want to get straight to the issue I'm having.

  15. Very, very interesting.

My fiance and I were denied just last week, 4/12 with the explanation:

221G-Recommendation for Revocation and the CO told my fiance that he was just doing this for immigration benefit.

The CO was also the Assistant Chief Consular Office, so the chances of him admitting he was 'wrong' are slim to none.

I really made a BIG stink and contacted every government official I could think of to stop my petition return.....appealed to Chief Consul of the Embassy all the way up to President Bush and, in between, names of any high-level official in Foreign Affairs, NVC, USCIS to no avail. I begged and pleaded for a chance to submit evidence AND quoted their own policies and memorandums to them!!! We were ignored. The Embassy was h*ll-bent on getting our petition our of their offices and headed back to the U.S. They were successful.

    So, now what?

    Hire an attorney?

Wait it out until we get the NOID?

    Cancel the petition and re-file?

When is someone going to put a stop to this madness?

I'm headed over the Albania to see my fiance in 10 days

Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. There are a few really good threads on here to point you in the direction of what u can do now. There is a pinned topic in this thread to start with.

You will get the help you need, I am 100% sure about that.

  16. Limah, thank you for your update. I'm very happy to hear that you recieved a notice about your case. Its an awful feeling being in limbo. Today has been 2 months since my husband's interview, if my paperwork is processed at the same rate as yours, I should be hearing something from USCIS in July!!!!! Good luck with the next step, I'll keep you in my prayers.

    Dre

Thank you and I hope u do hear something soon. :luv:

    Limah (L)(F)

  17. This really is good news Limah. I know it has been a long road, and you still have a long way to go, but at least it is being addressed. Now you start really organizing and preparing your evidence. When I sent in mine I wrote a letter explaining our relationship. This was an 8 page letter btw. I spelled out everything. The things on the NOIR that they stated the reason for the return, plus everything else. The age difference, his family in the US....everything. In this letter I would reference my evidence often. I had my evidence in catagorized so that they could easily view what was in the letter as they were reading it. The consulate pretty much told my husband that this was an extremely organized rebuttal, and I believe it was a factor in readudicating it so quickly.

Hang in there Limah, and all of the others. Your time will come.

I know its not over, but we feel like we are making progress. Hearing something from them specifically is really good I'm jotting ideas down for a rough draft of this rebuttal letter so I dont forget anything. I'm trying to cover all the bases here. What I "think" the issue(s) could have been. VIH!, might you breeze thru the other group today?

    Limah (L)(F)

  18. I call him by his name to get his attention. Especially when he's watching football! Other than that, its honey, babe, habibi, love, my love, sweetheart, sexy, my moroccan love. All the normal stuff, I guess. I wasn't really into all that b4 I met him. Sometimes I dont call him anything I just start talkin.

He calls me all the same, plus these........ flower, sweet cream, my sweet, queen, queen of emails, my american love. I guess that about does it.

    Limah (L)(F)

  19. You need to address the religion issue, you know who this is.

    what does that mean?

    chi

she thinks because we are of different religion that it will cause a problem at the interview. but again, i've met people here who are of different religion from their spouse and had no problems...

    on the language note:

thank god my emails are in french, proving i speak french, because my fiance is not fluent in english and i recommended he do his interview in french.

    oh ok

i dont think religion is a problem.

now the speaking French is great!!

    best wishes!

    chi

My husband and I are both Muslim. We still had problems. Go figure...........
