  1. I dont guess anyone noticed my previous post asking for some insight into the "APPROVAL" status after the interview.

    This is my question!

How can you know for certain if you are approved after your interview?

The reason i ask is b/c my Fiancee had her interview yesterday on 9-25-06 and she was told to wait to be called again after the consular asked her alot of questions during her interview, so she thought she wasnt through with her interview, but in fact it turned out she was! Therfore, she did not ask if she was approved.

She did notice however that their was a printed out cardboard like sheet on top of all her documents that said "IV APPROVED" She went and paid the DELBROS fee, etc...

From all i have read b4 on these forums, they indicate that even if you pay the DELBROS fee, that still doesnt mean that you are approved. So i am trying to figure out, if even the CONSULAR officer doesnt say your approved, are you?

I wanted to get some insight from those who have already had an INTERVIEW. Any help that you can provide to alleviate my ulcer would be much appreciated!

    :D

    Thanks

  2. My Fiancee had her interview yesterday on Sept 25, 2006... She said that she answered all questions correctly and wasnt told by the consular if she was approved or not. She did however pay the delbros fee and she said that there was a stamp like "IV Approved" on her documents.

My question is this, from all that i have read on these forums, is it a possibility that she could not receive her visa without the "definate" "YES" from the consular? I mean the possibility of being on AR?

I really hope she is approved. If you guys have any comforting words, or thoughts, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  3. To all who have knowledge on this subject:

    Ok Folks,

I was wondering about this issue.

Question: Is it proper in thinking that all financial personal debts (weather it is a debt of Credit Card, or against the Govt.) should be paid completely off before the beneficary goes before the Interview?

I am not sure what the stipualtion is around the world at other U.S. Embassies, but my main concern is the one in Manila, Philippines. My purpose is so that their is no room for the consular interviewing my fiancee to deny her. I am not sure if they do any type of credit check on the applicant or not b 4 the interview!

Thanks for anyones in depth knowledge!

  4. Manila Embassy has updated their website as of today. Packets may now be downloaded from their site.

I think that the links to check on the interview dats, and download applications are all broken and non functioning. I sent the embassy a email telling them that they have been broken for the past few days. I wonder if any of you guys have experienced the same thing?

  5. Save yourself all that money if you are calling overseas and just call the D.O.S. (Department of State). If you have a cell phone with no long distance charges, just call them here at 202-663-1225. It takes about 20 to 30 mins to get through especially on a Monday!

Why spend all that money when you can get the same info state side?

    Hope that helps!

  6. Goldie!

I am in the same boat as you! I was forwarded to the CSC from TSC and got a NOA2 on May 1st! The last time i called was on May 22, 2006 and they still havent received it or said that their is no record of it! I will call on this Tuesday after Memorial day to find out what in the heck is going on!

I feel your pain, and It sucks that when we do things the legal way that we are tortured by the waiting and unfortunate happenings & on the other hand, well i am sure u are aware of all the illegals that are here and their benefits! (Sigh)

Hang in there man! We can make it thorugh this!

  7. Hi,

I just joined all this and wondered if the NVC has a way to email you all the hits and handles just like the USCIS does on their website. I have looked all over the NVC website and cannot find anything to that effect. I have seen numerous signatures here in these forums that have stated that they have been emailed by the NVC.

Does anyone have any Idea about this?
