Hey, my dear friends!!!
Girl in orange here speaking... Now (well, not yet, gotta file for SSN first) Mrs. Caruso!! Yay!!
We got married on Monday in a very intimate but still magical and beautiful ceremony at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, CT. When we exchanged rings, it begun playing "all you need is love" out of nowhere. It was a guy sitting closeby with a guitar and him and his wife were there and they had adorable baby turtles. It was magical, I really loved my wedding! His parents were there and my now mother-in-law said a few words welcoming into the family, it made me shed a few bride tears haha ^^
We are planning on having a more elaborate wedding in the summer, it's gonna be just as beautiful, if not more! =)
Now we are gathering the docs for the AOS+AP+EAD and when it comes to proof of relationship, has any of you submitted anything? We don't have joint bank accounts or lease or mortgage together yet. =( all we have is pictures, really.

I'm sooooo happy over the moon ....am approved tnx my novembr family for ur help it means alot ....

After all this waiting, I finally have a date to look forward to for my fiance to arrive here. She will be here on March 31st. We will be getting married on May 7th. These next 3 weeks are going to feel like forever! I am happy to start planning stuff though, that should keep me busy. All I know is when we are together, I will never take our time for granted.

I did take English classes, I studied at Wise Up, Jaque has probably heard of it =)
But I also spent a very long time in Europe and Australia, so that improved my English tremedously - pulling out a "Trump" here hahaha -, so my advice is speak speak speak. If she has zero knowledge of it, a class is absolutely going to work better than self study. I also speak Dutch and first I started studying it all by myself, but once I started taking classes, my performance improved considerably.
Overall, taking classes is the best option, not to mention it would also be a great way for her to make friends!
And you, Shawn, be really patient with her and don't make any fun of her mistakes, cause it will make her go back in her shell and feel bad about herself. Just talk, talk, talk, that's the best way you can help.

Hey tab. Welcome. Wait until it reaches the consulate. After it says ready, it will be there a couple of days after that. Then schedule your interview. You do not have to wait for packet 3, this will save you 1-2 weeks of wait time. If you have any other questions, just ask. Good luck to you!

Do you have the Nov I-29F kit?
Inside the kit you will find the following items:
1) lunch size paper bag
2) case of kleenex boxes
3) case of vodka or Johnnie Walker (Black)
4) case of aspirin
Instructions on use
When you feel yourself starting to hyperventilate from stress pull out the paper bag and breath into it until of one two things happens:
1) you regain composure; or
2) you pass out
Either option your hyperventilation is now under control
When you start crying grab a box of kleenex, and a bottle of either vodka or Johnnie (which ever you picked). Never mind the glass, just drink straight from the bottle. Drink until one of two things happens:
1) you regain composure; or
2) you cry more
In the event of item 2, drink more until you pass out. At which point the crying will stop.
When you wake up after the crying event, use the aspirin.
That should pretty much carry you through to Visa Approval.
PS There is nothing enjoyable about this journey, other than the wonderful people you will meet here in this thread. So just share, and vent here. We will get you through it, together

Thank you guys. I feel relieved. They should verbally have to tell you if you are approved or not. They are trying to give us a heart attack. But I am very happy!!! My fiance got like 3 hours of sleep so she is about to pass out. Feels good to be at the end of this long process. Now I need to buy plane tickets.

My fiance's interview is tomorrow. We are both very anxious. We will be chatting tonight to make sure all her paperwork is in order. When I wake up in the morning, I will have a message from her that will say approved or not (she is 3 hours ahead). How am I supposed to sleep tonight? Lol.

Distance makes the heart grow fonder--and sometimes causes loads of misunderstandings, confusion and lagging Internet?.. we have all shown to have overcome these obstacles. Well done people!!

I checked the number like 15 times because I have so many random case numbers tracking in my app...but it's really ours! I can't believe it!
Who thinks I can keep the news to myself for three more days so I can tell my guy in person on Sunday????

I said I can't get word to her because the phone lines are cut. I sent a FB message to her cousin, who live a mile from her. And he just responded. He tells me phones are definitely cut by government for the time being. But he will let her know.
I never used FB before, and for whatever reason I set up the page just 2 days ago. And it becomes the means of communication.
Coincidence? I set up FB now, after all these years...

Always found it interesting how people from certain parts of the world can learn many languages with ease. I have to say I am jealous, what I wouldn't give to know 5 languages. I think that is one of the coolest things in the world. I am having a tough time learning Portuguese to communicate with my fiance (she does not speak any English yet). But I keep studying.
It would be very nice to tell them how much we appreciate them. Sad. Without that approval, I would probably never get to be with the one I love. So I will always be grateful to that person who reviewed my petition. They may think, "It is just apart of our job". But the effect they have on many lives is unimaginable.

It would be a shame if they punished the true love we have because of 1 incident. Some people need to realize that millions of people have come over from other countries on a K-1 Visa for the right reasons. It makes me think of that saying, "Humans fear what we don't understand". I think a lot of people fear the process because they don't know about it.

I read all what you guys say and yea.. our hopes get smaller each day, unfortunatelly. It's so unfair that all of us, petitioners & beneficiaries, have to struggle and be punished by what ONE mad disgraceful couple did. Loving someone from no matter where is a right, specially in a free country as the US.
I'm not saying the government is wrong in being more strict and even blocking new applications for a while, but all of us here applied for the visa BEFORE this dreadful incident, so why shatter our hopes and dreams once we're already onboard?
The right thing to do, as mentioned above, is to stop accepting applications from a certain date on, so couples who are expecting their fiancé(e)s to start a new life together don't get unfairly punished.

Ok this is just crazy. Last night I had a dream that we got an RFE because I did not submit the (T.O.S.) terms of service of the dating site that we used or provide any info about the site at all. I checked "NO" for question 35. Did you meet your fiancé(e) or spouse through the services of an international marriage broker? All I did was list the name of the site. www.asiandating.com. I did many other things wrong that if I took the time to read the K-1 Guide I would have had a better packet. Including failing to put "I-129F" on the mailing envelope AND not knowing about the e-notifications forum but I did sign up for USCIS case tracking once I had my WAC number. I was actually happy in my "dream" because I knew that even with an RFE at least my petition was being worked and after I sent in the info it would be approved shortly thereafter. Well a dream is not reality and there was no RFE or anything else when I woke up.
Full disclosure. I have petitioned someone over 21 years ago via a K-1 this was WELL before the internet. It took about 5-6 months total back then. I did another K-1 over 10 years ago which was also approved. This was Pre-IMBRA and it took 95 days for NOA 2 to show up and 7 months total from filing to Visa in hand. Believe it or not I used these very forums 10 years ago but a lot has changed. So there you have it. I know it's a lot of baggage but I have no regrets. Actually I have 2 beautiful children to show for it.
Me and the kids were making cookies tonight after watching the GOP debate "talk about entertainment". I had a BLEEP text message on my phone and it said........"Your Case WACXXXX is now updated Check "My Case Status at www.uscis.gov"
My heart nearly stopped. My first thought was "oh boy I'm getting an RFE" . Well I logged on and as of DECEMBER 15th, 2015 your case is APPROVED"
I am just stunned now and at a loss for words.
First thing I did was dial up my honey in the Philippines to tell her the great news. I nearly cried.
She said "What's next?" I said "You're Next" LOL

So bottom line it took 28 days from Nov.17th

We're just so happy that our case changed status from "Received" to "Approved" this December 14, 2015.
We just celebrated our 2nd Anniversary December 13, 2015 away from each other. And this good news is the best gift for us! We're just so happy!❤️???

This information does not give me hope that mine will be approved this week. My timeline says 18th-21st. We will see. Still hoping for pre-Christmas approval.

It's good to see some November filers are starting to get their NOA2's. The rest of us are not far behind, one by one. I've told everyone that if I only get an approved NOA2 and nothing else for Christmas, that would be enough for me.
