Yes, she should be able to. She can begin the petition process to bring your sister to the US provided she is under the age of 18, it might be 21, now while she is in the US if you didn't already know this. You mom has a valid passport to enter the Phil. and the GC allows her to return to the USA.

so my mom married a USC in the US.

Her phil passport last name was still the same with her married last name in the Phil but her GC last name is her new last name from my stepfather.. so in short, her last name in her passport and GC were different..

She went to Phil embassy to change her last name in her passport into new one but they told her that she cant change her last name in her passport because she is not annulled with my dad in phil (but they are unnulled in US). So the Phil embassy gave her an Affidavit of Identity that the name in the passport and in the GC is the same person..

my question is.. can she travel back here in Phil to get me and my sister without any problem with her passport and GC with the affidavit of identity? ((

well, i'm only 20 years old and I only attended the PDOS... and my category is ir-2.

in my seminar (pdos) the speaker only discussed about what to do before or after your flight to US. what to bring... general things about being a LPR in US. that's all. maybe you'll just need to attend the PDOS because all I know is GCP is for k1 visa holders lang.. i'm really not sure.. HAHAHA. )

Hello there sister! I scheduled my cfo on feb 1 then rescheduled it on feb 2. I was so worried because the reference number on the 2 different schedule is not the same. And my name on feb 2 schedule was kinda mixed up. What will I do to correct this and to let cfo know that I changed schedule? Thank in advance

so my cousin, a US citizen will file CR1 for her husband.. but she is confused because her husband is currently working in Dubai but his hometown is really in the Philippines. so my question is.. where should be his consulate? at saudi arabia or he should go back to the philippines?

Check inside the passport, it is only a slip of paper, they may of stapled it inside.

i called cfo.. they told me that only those who have K1 visa will receive the certificate.. big relief for me. hehe. thanks hank!

@bdr23 our visa was approved and issued on January 11th too but till now the passport is still at the embassy after I called yesterday. Did you get your visa or any information yet?

i already received mine 5 days after my interview.

you can check the status of your passport. just email them through passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com then put your passport number in the subject and the space provided for message. dont put anything rather than your passport number.

quick question.. me and my twin sister just had our cfo seminar today... we only received our passports w/ cfo sticker but no certificate... do they really stop giving certificates this year? because i read in some cfo experiences that cfo gave them certificates with their picture..

i received my visa packet today after 5 days! yay!

The envelope contains everything you sent plus medical records etc The CD isn't needed at the POE. I actually handed that CD over to the CBP officer with the yellow envelope but he just gave the CD back to me. The envelope will ONLY be opened at the POE here in the States.

The CD only contains Xray copies and is not necessary (consider it a souvenir or trophy that you passed medical) . I believe I have mine sitting somewhere collecting dust. She needs to have a copy of her vaccination records though for when she adjusts her status after you get married. Make sure she still has a copy of that and NSO copies of her birth certificate.

i think that the cd that is being ask to bring to the US is the xray cd that was given to your fiance in St. Lukes with the envelope that you had given to the embassy. it is not inside the envelope so it is suppose to be with your fiance and she is suppose to bring it with her to the US.

it was actually our second time but the last time we went there was when we were like 4 years old.. so i already forgot what America feels/looks like. hehehe. we are excited! and of course my mom too ))

just a question.. what will happen if i forgot to get my old xray result at st lukes? will i still need that or is it ok to just left it there? i had my medical last dec 15? and since then, i never got a chance to get my old xray result..
