  1. Thank you everybody! I´m not sure but I guess they are working on the june, july, and august priority dates. My priority date was July 10. I didn´t get an email for the approval, I got the letter in the mail. No, they haven´t updated the uscis "case status" webpage to the latest information, everytime I check my case it only says that it was transferred to another office, so don'y rely on that. Just check your mail everyday. Please don't forget to post when you get your approval letter, that way other people can have a reference of the processing times at the Potomac service center.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. CHEER UP FAMILY! MY PETITION HAS BEEN APPROVED... :joy::dance::joy:

My case was transferred from the Nebraska service center to the Potomac service center on Oct. 16, 2015. Just went to check my PO BOX an hour ago and found the NOA2 approval letter. It was approved on Nov. 18, 2015, so I guess it arrived 2 or 3 days ago. Don't loose hope, I bet your cases are going to be approved soon. My case took 4 months and 4 days to get approved. Also my mom has been assigned a green card alien number. :joy::jest:

If your case was transferred to the Potomac service center, that means your lucky, your processing times will speed up. Our immigration consultant initially told us that the hole process will take longer (aprox. 14-18 months) due to the heavy workload at the processing centers, but back then the Potomac service center wasn't open yet.

I'm so happy to know that I may soon bring my mom to live with me here in California, haven't seen her in 5 years. :)

Oh, another thing, don't rely on the online status check, It hasn't been updated to the latest information

  3. Hey did you guys got an alien number assigned to your beneficiary when you got your notice letter about the transfer to potomac?

Because in the notice letter that I received 2 days ago, my mom was already assigned an alien number in this format: A123456789. They would only assign you a green card alien number only if they are going to approve your application right?

So far what I have read, is that the Potomac Service Center was going to process the DAPA applications, but that was suspended and it may take 2years to start receiving those apps, meanwhile they will be helping out the other 4 service centers with their work load on immigration petitions. The Potomac service center started operations last august, so It might be good news that our cases were transferred. It seems that they are only tranferring recent filers back from july to present. I'm expecting to have my case approved anytime before mid january, so lets see what happens.
