Mostly matters inin immigration is about how to make money out of it. E.g. twice medical, increased fee. Although i dont like 420 figure

Kaleem you wont get it that fast, you need to wait, atleast they take 1 month.

Updates usually means they are doing some work on the case. How many times you got updates since the interview date?

No changes in first 4 months, then I emailed once then they updated. AND

Now in last every 10 days they are updating. (3 updates).

My wife's case got updated without any inquiry. I am in AP since May 28, 2015, first date update on Oct 19 then 29 now updated and date changed on Nov 09 , 2015

I have a very important question. I wanted to know that for K-3 who else can be a joint sponser besides parents/sis or bro/uncle or aunt. Can it be someone you just know as a very close friend, but not your relative? thanks

As far as I know, the joint sponsor can be anybody as long as the person is in United States legally and meets the income requirements.

A Joint sponsor can be anyone who is US Citizen so relax and decide whois yr Joint sponsor

Ditto. Go to your nearest Social Security Administration office with:

1. Your passport with the IR-1 visa and stamp

2. Proof of residence (domicile type thing)

You apply for a SSN and it is usually ready in 2 days or so (the card comes later). I did that and had my SSN so fast it wasn't funny. Onc eyou have that, you can work and wait patiently for the card to arrive (mine hasn't got here yet either )

And NO, you cannot work without SSN - it's a requirement for employment!!!!

I have been here in USA on IR-1 Visa and i have not received my green card or welcome letter in USA. and waiting in the home to see if i can have some document to work. Coz its really hard to spend time in the home. Already called to USCIS, they told that you are NOT even in the records so wait untill 60 days may be you hear something and if green card or welcome letter dosnt comes in letter then USCIS will find solution for me.

Please send me suggestions how i can start working on IR-1. As is stated on my IV visa that === upon endorsement serves as I-551 temporary residence for 1 year.

I didnt receive my Social Security either. So i have applied for social security 5 weeks after arrival.

THE QUESTION IS THAT CAN I WORK ON IR-1 STATUS WITHOUT SOCIAL SECURITY OR WITHOUT GREEN CARD ?
