I am sorry things didn't work out.  Truly.  I hope others will learn from this and know all the consequences of decisions they make.  Sponsoring visa applicants is a serious situation and not to be taken lightly.

Take Care.  I hope everything goes smoothly as possible.

    Thank you so much.

If you can both agree a dissolution of marriage may be an option

Either way you're going to be financially on the hook for a very long time.  That's the consequences of marrying a foreigner and sponsoring them.

    ☹☹

When he files for ROC he can also complete a divorce waiver.  Joint evidence will not be required because he will show you divorced.  He will tell them the marriage didn't work out and he now is divorced with separate accounts, lease, etc.

Use the advance search tool.  There are all kinds of prior posts about this:

Thank You! The divorce is so expensive I really don't want to spend another dime

Your still finally responsibly responsible for him for 10 years or until he becomes a US Citizen which will take 5 years if separated and he goes through with that Process. It sounds like your trying to figure out what your still responsible. He can also most likely remove conditions without which would be the next step if he is still here and u both are separated/divorced.

This is the part I'm worried about. I don't want to be financially responsible for him. I'm not sure how he can keep his GC if we have no joint accounts, lease or anything together

  5. I'm looking to possible file for divorce. We have been married for two years. Living together since April 2017, separated since Oct 2017. We have no joint accounts, lease no nothing. Does this affect his citizenship when he goes for his green card interview? I'm not sure what to do

  6. My advice is not dangerous, wrong or stupid. I went thru this same process of having to send my documents to my boyfriend at the time, and yes i no what I'm talking about. Your not from ghana and you don't know what they ask for. Although the USA embassy might not ask ghana will.

  7. If HE is sponsoring her then yes he needs to send in financial records, according to Ghana visa you must have a invitation letter along with your application. Trust me, I know people who had to provide these items when applying for a visitor visa in GHANA, but that's only IF he is sponsoring her
