Quick question, did you receive your interview date for your AOS via hardcopy in the mail??

Just a couple of updates from me, I finally got a job (yay!) it's completely different to what I was doing in the UK but I'm excited for a change!! It's close to my house too so I can walk to work, I did orientation yesterday and hope to start properly next week

I also got an update on my AOS scheduled for interview at Phoenix on the 21st of December, any tips on evidence to take? Do I need to take my copy of my AOS paperwork?

Anyone here waiting for interview to be scheduled more than 2 mons?

When I go onto the USCIS website to the case status tracker online and type in my MSC receipt number it says "Validation error"

how did you know your case number isn't working?

It has been almost 3 weeks after sending the RFE response but case status still on RFE. It has not been changing even if we sent the response.

Does that mean my receipt number is also not working????

I'm also wondering which service center mine is being processed at. At the moment my reciept number is not working when I try to check my status

No. I'm referring to 485, adjustment of status. I went on the USCIS website to check the processing times however I'm not sure which local office was given the case.

Fyi. I received acknowledgement that my interview was ready to be scheduled.

I think she means Adjustment of Status.

We filed the K1 AOS/EP last July 18, 2016 then we received a txt message from USCIS with receipt number indicated last July 29, 2016 that they already received the packet. Upon checking online there is an error prompting that they cannot validate the receipt numbers. We waited til we receive the snail mail from USCIS. Now, we already have the notices but still, we can't check the status online. Then, we also tried to call the USCIS hotline and checked the status there but the voice recorder said that they cannot validate it either. We're now worried about our case. What does it mean? Does it mean there's something wrong with our packet? Is it just us or others are also experiencing this? Please let us know. Thank you.

Is anyone else having issues checking their green card status online? My receipt number doesn't seem to be working. I have my EAD and AP combo card in hand and I checked the receipt number just to see if they work and it does. But my I-485 receipt number still doesn't work?

Yes I received the hard copy in the mail. Each time I try check my case status online it says validation error.

How did you know you were approved for the EAD on Sept 29? Through mail/text?

My case numbers are also not working.. strange

And my case numbers are not even working. Plan to call level 2 CSR tomorrow to ask for info.

Looks like we sort of have a similar timeline I received the approval notice for my EAD and AP it should be arriving any day now. I have been noticing on some people's timelines that they have green card interviews scheduled. I haven't received any mail regarding an interview so I'm hoping that means its been wavered. I'm a little confused too but trusting that all will go smoothly.

Got my Combo card today. It took only 2 days from when it said the card was picked up by the usps. Also my I-485 said new card is being produced. Is it means that no interview? I'm kinda confused with the process now cause it shows case was received the whole time until today.

Congrats, we received our email Tuesday July 26 and hard copies arrived yesterday (Saturday 30th) A huge relief to know that our packages arrived safely. Now the waiting game begins..

We received hard copy NOA today. The package was not lost at all, fortunately. We luckily were able to track it using a second tracking number on the package.

We did the same, I figured it would give me peace of mind knowing that someone had to sign for it.

We sent ours certified, not priority there was like a $20 difference they said it would be delivered in 3 days so I figured I'd rather pay $3 and wait an extra day. But it took 10 days to get there

Yeah, when the post office lady asked casually if I want signature confirmation, I just said yes without fully realizing the consequences. Oh well.

I tried to call the lockbox number that the usps gave me 312-983-7544 but nobody pick up the phone. I will call first thing monday to request that they remove the signature requirement. I hope it will help. Otherwise, it will be there for 10 days.

So you are saying that you also sent yours priority with signature requirement to the lockbox and it got delivered 10 days later?

No. I got USPS to open an investigation and they call me back asking me to check back with them on Monday.

I called USCIS as well and they told me to check back after 10 business days to see if they can pull my name from the system.

I wonder if the problem is that I use USPS express mail with a required signature. Since it's a lockbox, there is nobody to sign, causing the hold up.

If they indeed arrived, there is no text/email notice or checks cashed yet.

The signature part may be the issue, I also requested that the package get signed by someone at the lockbox ours took a total of 10 days. Crazy!!

There is no deadline for filling AOS... I filed 3months ago after being in US for since 2010 on a k1... There is allot of people that file a year or so later

If there is no financial pressure for you to get a job immediately, why not take the time as exploration and self-discovery time- and keep some touristy mentality in the U.S. and discover fun things. Good job fit comes when spirit is high. Making new friends is great (not limited to those with same background). Further the education from taking a course for a license to becoming full-time student, etc.

We sent out AOS package on Monday 18th and it was not delivered on 19th as scheduled.

I also just sent my AOS package Its only been a few days but feels like months.. This waiting game is not fun!

Try get your drivers licence that may give you some freedom. I was able to get mine, however, it expires the same time as your I94 and the date on your K1 visa in your passport. And can only be renewed when you receive your EAD or green card. If you don't manage to get your licence just yet, try maybe learning a new language? or possibly getting a bicycle and volunteering somewhere. You could meet new friends and it would look great on your resume when you can finally start applying to work.

I'm sure this has been asked before, just want to clarify. Hubby and I want to go too Hawaii for a little getaway. I've only recently sent in my AOS package including my EAD and AP. Will it be an issue traveling to Hawaii and returning? I assume not because Hawaii is part of the States. Just want to know if anyone has had any experience or troubles with this?
